The owner seems more interested in arguing with paying members than actually running a successful business. I've never felt more disrespected as a customer, and I've seen other reviews echoing similar concerns. If you're looking for a positive and supportive environment, this is definitely not the place for you. The owner needs more help than just managing a gym--he really should seek professional therapy, as he clearly doesn't have the skills needed to run a business or create a healthy, positive environment. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this gym. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

There is still a tremendous selection of equipment, but it is not as extensive as the other store. Almost anybody could get a great workout here. If one equipment manufacturers, say, shoulder press, machine doesn't quite fit your bio mechanics, there are five or six others to choose from! The dumbbells only go up to about 75 pounds, but there are at least four pairs at any given weight. You should never have to wait to get the pair that you need. Why 4 instead of five stars? I will say, that compared to the other store, this one is not as clean or well-maintained. It's not so dirty that it grosses you out, but, it's noticeable. The equipment, albeit fewer choices and fewer free weights, is still very usable. One membership gets you access to both the Northtowne store and the Reynold's Corners store. This, is a damned good deal.

We used to be Urban Active members for a few years, then they got bought out and their facilities…read morewent to heck (poor maintenance, dirty as heck, pool was green for MONTHS, etc.). We also realized that while we were paying an OK fee for a gym in general, places like Planet Fitness blow them out of the water. We signed up for PF and everything has been relatively great. There was an issue early on with some staff acting poorly, however we contacted corporate, the issue was resolved to complete satisfaction (including a personal apology because the situation absolutely warranted it), and a change in policy and attitude. After this issue, we've had no complaints. The positives of this gym over others ($20 plan): 1. Free massage chairs / massage water bed 2. Free toning/mood bed 3. Free tanning at ANY level - there's 3 levels and they're all included! 4. Access to nice seating area 5. Bathrooms and shower areas are MUCH cleaner than other gyms. 6. You actually can SEE the employees cleaning. Can't say that EVER happened with Urban Active / LAFitness! 7. Machines are in generally good working order. No equipment has been tagged out for weeks or months like LAF or UA 8. Use of gyms across the country at the same price 9. We don't use it, but once a month bagel Monday and pizza Tuesday. Job security for them, delicious benefit for customers The $10 plan doesn't have #1-4, but all others. There IS a club maintenance fee twice a year of $20, and there IS a signup fee unless you can get waived. The only bad things: 1. The ellipticals are, IMO, cheap. I'm a tall guy and I hit my knees on them Bc they're just not made for my body type. The treadmills are great, well maintained, and have zero slip. In fact they're literally the same machines Urban Active used! 2. There are rooms for different things, like Core work,15min workout, flexibility, etc. but these rooms take a lot of real estate. I wish they would have added a few more weight machines / racks - they're always being used and I feel like this would be a better use for the rooms.

While traveling to to my home tiown for familie visits, I don't take my sons birth certificate with me, which is apparently a requirement for a minor to gain entry. However, he is a PF member and they were able to pull up his membership including his required documents and photo id. They still denied him entry without paying a $5 fee. I feel like this is a shady way to get more money from members and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I have been coming here for about six months and love it. I do the TFW workouts exclusively and…read morethey are fantastic. These are one hour workouts that are truly one hour. They can be extremely hard but the coaches work with all levels of fitness seamlessly within the classes. I really like the coaches and my fellow members. They offer so many opportunities for one price it's impressive. I'm a snowbird and Jen works out pricing to accommodate my schedule. The price is very reasonable when considering the options available.

My friend and I went to the gym often but wanted more of a push. We found Live Fit and couldn't be happier. We signed up for personal training there and it's been fantastic. We have similar body types and goals. It was awesome we could work out together with one trainer, which made it less intimidating in the beginning. I also love how they schedule and charge for personal training sessions. Every trainer I have had made me feel comfortable, not judged and pushed me. I feel like they really effort into thinking what workout to do for each client. I did personal training in the past and felt like I spent more time following the trainer from machine to weights to machine than actually working out. We also participated in Live Fits XGT class which is an amazing workout. Due to time constraints I am going back to focusing on personal training. If you've ever thought about getting in shape but you have no idea where to even start give Live Fit a call.

Was there on Sunday and one of the new pieces was already broken. The Hammer equipment was great, not impressed with the new Matrix equipment. Do like the new dumbbell benches, and the squat racks. I have been a member since the first year in 2018. This is the first time the upgrade seems like a down grade.

Shady billing, predatory cancellation practices. My family did a two month trial membership here…read morelast spring mainly to use the pool. Pool was fine - looks the same as it did in 1984. However, when we chose to end our membership because summer was starting and preferred to use outdoor pools, we were billed an extra month at over $85 all because some fine print in the Terms & Conditions said members need to cancel not just a full two weeks not prior to the end of a month, but two weeks prior the month's end billing date. No pro-ration, no exceptions. No other company does that. We canceled around June 15 and were billed for all of July, despite not using the facility since May. Gigantic rip off! Attempts at mediation were futile. Front desk staff at Wolf Creek were useless and directed us to the main office. Multiple calls and voicemails to the main office's accountant were ignored. Incredibly disasppointing experience from an alleged community steward type organization. Waste of time and money. Never going again, spreading word of their shadiness. Change the garbage policy.
