Unfortunately, they made some changes and consolidated some spaces, etc. One of those changes was severely cutting their hours. I believe they close at 8:00 p.m. throughout the week now, and 2:00 p.m. on the weekends! These hours don't fit most people's lives, especially mine as a night shift nurse. I can handle rearranging some equipment and even closing the kids club, but if I can't get there because they close so doggone early it's not worth me paying for it. By the way, even though they cut out several hours per week of available gym time for clients, they did not cut out any of the very expensive monthly dues for members. This business is owned by ProMedica and if I didn't know any better I would think that they didn't care about encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle, and that they only cared about money. And then I remembered that I am a ProMedica nurse and that is absolutely, 100%, the case! They made these changes to the hours from a financial standpoint, not thinking about their clientele or giving a crap if anyone actually visits the gym (so long as they pay their monthly dues).

If a machine IS broken, it's usually fixed in a timely manner...unlike other gyms I've been to where equipment starts to form cobwebs. I believe new carpeting was installed recently which gives the place that "new gym" smell! Because this gym is located inside a strip mall, the space is limiting therefore so are the machines & free weights. I usually go late at night (midnight) and have had no problems with waiting for equipment, so I can't really say what the 5 o'clock rush is like there. There are no amenities like a pool/saunas, personal training or a yoga room.....just the meat and potatoes of what a simple gym would need. And yes there are showers! For what I paid for a 2yr contract, it was a reasonable amount and what sold me was the 24hr access and location (within 5 miles). The place is very clean and the manager Rex is a nice guy. Overall I would recommend this location for anyone wanting a "no frills" gym. :)

When this gym first opened up a few years ago- it was top notch. We moved gyms and joined Crunch…read morebecause it was honestly one of the best gyms in the Toledo area. However, over the years, the facility has lost all the features that made me join in the first place. I pay for the peak membership ($25 a month) and so does my husband. So $50 a month we pay for a membership at Crunch. My husband and I go several times a week, so we are very aware of how often things are being disregarded. This place is ALWAYS popping. Morning- busy. Lunch- busy. Evening-busy. It being busy really isn't a huge deal, but when MANY machines are broken or need maintenance, then it's more of a nuisance. For months they've only had 3 stair steppers functioning (out of 6). Today- went to the gym and found only TWO are working!! Now people awkwardly stand behind the steppers waiting to use them.... How awesome when I'm trying to get a workout in.... Can't wait for creepers to make that excuse... They've had signs on them stating "I need a rest day".... I understand things happen and machines break down, but it's ridiculous how long they've been down. Like I said- the place is always busy! Honestly, at least 50-80+ people there at all times. They only have a couple of hand sanitizer dispensers and they have been empty for months. I carry around my own sanitizer in my gym bag. The women's bathroom has had a single stall closed since December at least, with a silly sign stating "on my last rep I sustained an injury" or something like that. I checked today and it still had a sign on it and was closed. My husband said that in the men's bathroom, they've had a sink broken for a while too. Ridiculous! The reason why I left my old gym to come here was because of constant machines being broken and maintenance being poor. It's annoying paying this much for a membership and not being able to use the facility fully. And like I said, it's always busy!! People pay to go here. Use those funds to maintain your facility. All in all, if someone asked me if they should join - I'd say no. And I know several people who have left for all these reasons. Sad to see for a facility that was once top notch.

One has all your standard gym equipment which is great, but their second space is what really impressed me and I believe sets them apart from other gyms. Their second space (called thier functional training space) has high quality rogue gear for all your lifting needs, which even includes concept 2 rowers, ski ergs, bike, and freeform runner. This space was prefect for getting all my lifts in and keeping me on track for my upcoming meet. This gym truly has everything you could need for your fitness/training needs.

We started out doing semi-private sessions together since it had been many, many years since either of us had been to a gym. Then, about a year ago, I transitioned over to the Group classes while my husband continues with the semi-private sessions. The trainers and owners are extremely invested in each person's overall health. They greet you by name every time you walk through the door. If you have an ailment (hip surgery recovery like my husband), they work meticulously with you to recover. The semi-private sessions are customized around your particular health goals. The group sessions are divided up by "strong" and "sweat" days with new workouts every month. Nothing ever gets old. Everyone is encouraging. Love this place and everyone who works there (especially Austin!!).
