Love this distillery. The grounds are beautiful with great views of the city, staff is super friendly and they usually have fun events going on. You do need to purchase a ticket whether online or upon arrival at the property. Only downside is that they only allow service dogs, which is a shame because they have such a large outdoor area. read more

This venue has so much potential but I was underwhelmed by a few things. 1 - you're charged $20 to walk on the property (which includes one drink ticket). 2 - dogs aren't allowed. 3 - there were empty outdoor spaces with no music or operating fire pits. To have this huge space and not utilize every inch in a smart and obtainable way seems wasteful and greedy. We visited on a sunny and mild day in February, but the only fire pit on was in the shade near the live music. Had we been able to spread out, enjoy the weather, and have our dog with us, we would have stayed longer for just the one "included" drink. At least the pre-mixed cocktails were good, and if you like to be continuously overcharged, there's a lot to see in the gift shop. read more

Such a beautiful place! We took the tour and learned so much about the process that goes into making this great whiskey and Bourbon! After the tour we enjoyed a tasting. Robin and Jason we awesome! I am not a whiskey or bourbon drinker but this place changed me! The whiskey was so smooth and the taste of honey and caramel made it so easy going down! Then there was the bourbon.... My husband has been drinking this for a few years and now I know why! I normally don't like bourbon because of the bite, but this bourbon doesn't have that bourbon bite! It is delicious and smooth! They also let us try a sample of the social batch. They only have this until it runs out and it isn't sold anywhere except here! I loved the this so after the tasting we headed into the store and bought a few bottles to bring home with us. We learned about their bottle tops.... All hand made! Beautiful facilities! We did the tour that was about $20 a person and lasted about an hour and a half. The tour took place inside and outside. Wear comfy shoes and breathable clothes if you go during the summer season! The tour guide was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. They give a tasting of 3 whiskeys along with a refreshing cucumber drink to conclude the tour. They also offered water during the tour. We went on Father's Day weekend so it was busy but they also offered free engraving. So whatever you bought from the gift shop that could be engraved was done there free. I'm assuming that was a fun feature for the weekend. We got two bottles and coffee cup engraved. There are two bars and they had two food trucks there. We ordered from the pizza food truck and it was delish. They have inside and outside seating to enjoy your drinks and food. Also if you are unsure on what drink you want from the bar you can sample the pre-made drinks. They were so fresh and should the versatility in whiskey! read more

Hey Friends this place is a Definite go to! Let me start by saying the landscape of this 100 plus acre distillery is Impeccable! My husband and I went here on a Wednesday (My Birthday) evening and it was amazing. You are first greeted at the guest check in. There they tell you about the place and give you a ticket for a free drink at the bar. Then you walk into the gift shop that is stocked with all TX whiskey items that are very nice! Then you go down a hallway made of huge whiskey barrels where it leads to the bar. They have a few selections of flavored whiskey drinks that will have your taste buds happy! Then they had Live Music on the patio... they have a fire pit outside with benches for seating. It is truly a Beautiful environment to just relax and enjoy! Tickets are only $10 per person online. We came here for an event and I must say I was impressed. I was a little weary at first seeing as it's in a not great part of Fort Worth but it's fenced off and is very private venue. The service was great, very professional, they had large fireplaces outside so even though it was chilly we stayed warm. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Okay let me put you all on one. We like to go to Distilleries all the time and the TX Whisky Ranch is the best one we've been too. If you plan to do the tour, plan in advance and find your tickets online as the book pretty quick. Even if you can't get in a tour, still attend their bar and try their whisky based drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. They have outdoor games, occasional live music and a peaceful environment. This place is a lot of fun and produces a great whiskey. We stopped by for the tour on a Friday afternoon. Let me first say, be sure to check the address and location if using GPS. We were almost late due to Apple Maps sending us to their old location. We entered the current address but were directed into downtown Ft. Worth, they are now at the old Glen Gardens Golf Course. Upon arrival, the grounds are very pretty since it's on a golf course. All the staff at check-in and our tour guide were friendly and informative. My wife and I are visiting from Phoenix and "yelp'd" "whiskey distillery". You see a beautiful property as you enter, with trees and a lake. We went straight to the Tavern where they have a whiskey tasting bar. We were greeted by Jason who concocted a mixture of three of my favorite elements, pecan, whiskey, and smoke. The tour is pretty cool to do, if not just to tour the building, which has been abandoned since the 1970s, and the get the great smell of bourbon when walking onto the production floor. Now not to get confused, the tour is about the building and the production of bourbon. The product F&R sells right now is TX Blended Whiskey - which is a product they blend on site from four other whiskey/bourbon distillers across America. The tour is about the bourbon they make which they haven't even bottled yet, and probably won't for another couple of years. TX Whiskey is a product they sell to keep the business going so they can focus on their made business - bourbon. Thankfully TX whiskey is a hit, and is selling well. The building is awesome, the vault, the wood wall, the reused materials through out. The tour is long, but very detailed. The guide knows what he is talking about. Though the tour could be a touch long. The production floor is hot, so dress appropriately. At the end you get a sample of the TX whiskey, though I thought he could of made a tasting session out of it. Good tour. read more

We had Marshall as our tour guide and he was very informative and helpful. The tour was 15$ each and we bought a bottle of whiskey for 20$. I liked the whiskey better than the bourbon. I had been waiting months to visit the TX distillery in Fort Worth. My daughter was supposed to make arrangements and when I got to Texas, we would finally visit the distillery that makes the whiskey I enjoy so much. I'm still waiting for the tour. TX has a VERY limited number of tours each day and they fill up fast. So we made two trips in the same day. The first to see the bar, since the tour was full, and the second to finally see the bar since it is closed until all the tours are complete. The souvenir shop is well-designed and well-appointed and the bar is small and very cozy. You can enjoy a free tasting, even if you've missed the tour, but the tasting doesn't last long. It's limited to TX Whiskey and TX Bourbon. I'm not a fan of the bourbon straight, but the whiskey is excellent on the rocks. After the tasting I recommend enjoying a cocktail. I had the bourbon and pecan mixture and in the drink the bourbon was smooth. The bartender is extremely personable and willingly shares his drink mixing secrets. I hope to return for the tour the next time I'm in Texas, assuming my daughter can snag one of the very scarce tickets. read more

This is a one of a kind experience that everyone needs to try! Located in southeast Fort Worth this beautiful distillery is located on an old golf course (that is still in use today - just not to the public) and has an incredible view of downtown Ft Worth. I was honestly amazed at the mind blowing attention to detail that was crafted into this entire distillery starting with the layout that gave an amazing view, to the architecture and design of the buildings, and finishing with the items in their gift shop. For a whopping $15 you get to go on a journey and take a tour of their facility and learn not only about how their whiskey and bourbon are made, but into the background of the owners and how the brand came to be. Once completed - everyone's favorite part - TASTE TEST! They have a bar and mixologist on site that will walk you through the basics and then will create some seasonal cocktails for purchase. They have a venue you can rent out for any event you would like with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Though I have only been once so far, I definitely have the intentions of going back many more times. First off this place is beautiful! Everything from the reclaimed wood from the original building repurposed as furniture to the isles and isles of gorgeous whiskey barrels lining the walls. The smell of sweet nectar wafting from the distilling stills hits you the moment you approach the cool old red brick building. (My mouth started watering at the sent!) I learned today while taking a little private tour, that the venue is mostly only open for tasting tours on Saturday, but makes special exemptions for private parties. I also developed a new appreciation for the brand after learning about their details both in product and presentation. The whiskey is distilled, bottled, and packaged right in Fort Worth. Their small, but efficient team is pretty amazing to see in action. In addition, each bottle has a little bit of Texas pride. Starting at the top, every cork bears a unique embellishment from some reclaimed material from leather boots to a firefighter jacket and even a ballet shoe. The bottle has a few other notable things you should ask about during the tour! I had a blast getting to learn a little about a company that is putting my city on the map!
