I've visited Acre Distilling before, but this was my first Tour and Tasting, which I highly recommend! We got to choose 7 of 14 spirits while we learned about the distilling process and Fort Worth history. Everything I tried was delicious, and we received a 15% discount on all bottles purchased after the tasting. (I bought 4!) The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable, and after trying these spirits, I really don't know why I'd spend more for any National brands. I highly recommend the tour and tasting, and all of the Acre spirits. read more

Acre's hosted our son and his fiancé's rehearsal dinner and welcome party. The ease of handling all the details with Mandy and Josie made me feel very secure prior to the event that it was going to be a great night. And boy, was it a great night! They helped us with our power point my daughter made and put it on all their TVs and she also made a great play list they were able to Bluetooth to those big JBL speaker for the evening. We catered on BBQ From Hurtados and they set up two tables with tablecloths for them. They had an easel for my welcome sign so that was one less thing I had to worry about bringing. The rest of the staff that night were also so friendly and courteous to all the guests. They helped clean up as people left their food plates and drink cups on the tables so the place looked clean all night. If you are still reading this - let's get to the drinks- I had the Miss Etta's Lemonade made with their Peach Tea Vodka and an espresso martini - ended the night with their Pinot Noir they serve. Husband and friends had the whisky flights and enjoyed them. We will be back to try more drinks out next time on Fort Worth. Acre Distilling Co. was an excellent place to host an event. But today I noticed a sign that said "acre distillery and coffee". Distillary? I must go. So I went. Menu had Old Fashions during happy hour for $7.00. That's a deal. So I had one. Just one. We stopped by Acre for a tour while in Ft Worth and really enjoyed it. We grabbed cocktails from the bar before our tour started and they were delish! The tour was different than what I've experienced before, as we were seated the whole time - it was more like a tasting than a tour. It included 7 different spirits, you had a choice between two each round. My husband got one and I got the other, so we were able to try all 14! I was very impressed by the variety and quality of the spirits. I also enjoyed learning about the area and the spirits, themselves. We ended up leaving with a bottle of Orangecello and some whiskey. I have been here twice now. The first time my husband and I kind of stumbled across it in the winter it was a very quiet day and we tried a whiskey flight. We just recently went in on a Sunday it was pretty busy. They had a tasting session happening in the central room and we sat up top by the bar/ I love how the glass leta you see the brewery parts, and they had an extensive menu with cocktails and testers of their different spirits. My husband got the old acre old fashioned he said it was just standard for that drink. I got the miss ettas lemonade it was delicious very tangy and citrusy but I like it. This month our gathering was at Acre Distilling where we had some whisky, appetizers, pizza, and great discussions about our monthly novel "The Silent Patient". Highly recommend visiting here for a tour and tasting of the distillery. The tour was reasonably priced and you will learn a few things about spirits if you're a novice like me. There was an accident on the highway so we were late. Rod, who was leading the tour, actually waited for us. So we appreciate that. He gave us grace and was understanding about it. I was happy to know that we would be tasting other spirits such as vodka and gin not just whiskeys. I was surprised that I had a few favorites. Due to TX's law, we couldn't buy the bottles on Sunday so they gave us a 25% discount card to come back. After the tour, we went to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. Their expresso martini and Moscow Mule might be some of the best I've had. We will be back later this month so I look forward to returning to get a bottle of Miss Addie's. read more

Any time I'm near the SW side of downtown Fort Worth in the evening Acre is an option. This is one of my favorite distilleries along with Blackland on the opposite side of downtown. Acre has excellent whiskeys and several other options. My latest visit they had very limited whiskeys to choose from, but their single malt is always a good option. That on the rocks was good sipping, excellent flavor, smooth but with great flavor elements. They offer bottles for purchase. The single malt was $45 for a bottle, but it stands up to much higher priced scotch whiskys. Give Acre a try. read more

I walked in relatively early on a Friday night. There were only a few people there, but there was plenty of seating if the crown was larger. I did a flight of the popular whiskeys. They were all very good. After that, I had one of the signature Old Fashioneds. It was very well done. The service was excellent and the bartender was able to answer all my questions and tell me about the various spirits distilled at Acre. I'll definitely be back! read more

Acre is wonderfully location place for a drink while visiting with friends or before an event. Conveniently located near the central station if you want to take public transport, and they have a small lot for customers. Its super close to the convention center and close enough to Bass Hall warrant a visit for a before show drink. Again being a fan of using public transport to avoid possible traffic or parking fees, taking the TRE or TEXrail a bit early to be able to stop for a drink while waiting for it to be a little closer to show time to walk over there! Staff was outstanding during our groups visit. Drinks are top notch and food like their charcuterie board was decent if you need a small snack with your drinks. A friend suggested we check this place out for a girls night out, hence how I ended up here. I've been to a lot of tastings however I will say that this was by far one of the best I've been to. First you want to go to their website and RSVP. You aren't required to pay until you arrive but it gives them an idea of how many people to expect. I arrived literally 2 minutes before the tasting was to begin and we were called into a large room where the magic happens. Roderick, our host for the evening, was charismatic, provided stories, history of the area and how the distillery came to be, how they make their products and very informative. There were 14 bottles and we got to choose which one we wanted between the two being offered each round. My friend and I decided we each would get one and share so we were able to try everything that was being offered which was great because a few that I thought I would like I didn't and a few I didn't think I would like, I loved! We were given pens and paper to take notes about the products - mine read "dangerous", "smooth", "not my favorite", "would be great in a mimosa" so I could remember what I liked and disliked about each one. Some that surprised me: the tea, the Java, the orangecello and I also really enjoyed the liquid pancake. You also get a discount on the large bottles because you took the tour. If I could give a 4 and a 1/2, that would be my rating. And if you're going specifically for the tasting and the tour, I would give them a 5 and a 1/2. The only reason I am giving a 4 is because I got there about 30 minutes early to get some food before my tasting because I didn't want to drink on an empty stomach. Unfortunately, I was told because there was a tour in front of me and they had ordered food that I would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before I could get food. Even if I got a charcuterie board that doesn't have to be cooked. That was disappointing, but let me get back to the awesomeness. The tasting tour was amazing, and our tour guide Roderick not only educated us on how the liquors are made, but he also educated us about Fort Worth and the history, which made the tour even more special. I have been to distilleries before, but this was one of the best I've ever had. I appreciate the variety of liquors that they make and sell and I also appreciate that you can buy small bottles for $8 to $12 or you can buy a full size bottle and I heard that their cocktails are amazing. They also have plenty of seating, which is nice if you have a big group. Oh, they also have their own parking lot, which is nice too. Will I go back? Yes, I will definitely go back, but it will probably be when they are done with the tours for the day, (7pm is the last tour), because I heard the food is good as well. My best friend held the rehearsal dinner for his daughters wedding here. The booked the entire place and had the food catered. The booze, on the other hand, was fabulously supplied by the good folks at Acre. The make their own spirits here in this building and both the traditional and uniquely created concoctions were poured by a very fun and efficient staff. It's a nice space with giant windows looking into the production space while the main room was big enough for either their normal tasting and guzzling patrons or our type of catered event. I had no idea this distillery was across the street from the University of Texas at Arlington, Fort Worth location. I've discovered so many bars and distilleries that are 7-10mins from my home. They had good drinks and decent seating to be able to visit before we needed to move on to our next destination nearby. Staff was helpful with directions to places nearby as well. The owner did the tour himself and we learned so much, not only about Acre and the distilling process but also about the history of Fort Worth and the location where the distillery is. They have a large variety of spirits including some award-winning ones. We stuck around after the tour and had a few cocktails from their bar. All cocktails were great. The owner seemed a bit underwhelmed by the experience of getting the medals and the distillers work versus the money it costs to be involved with the medal process. The tasting did start off a bit rough as a party of 8 was booked but did not show. We got placed at the back of the room behind everybody until finally 20 minutes into the tour I asked if we could just move to where everyone else is. If the party is already 20 minutes late, they shouldn't get priority over someone who was early. read more

Came here off a recommendation from a businessman on my flight. It was so MUCH fun! Came with a big group (20 + people) and most of us made reservations ahead of time. A few people didn't but Tony the owner graciously accommodated. We sat and did a tour and tasting of the distillery. They have award winning whiskey, vodka, gin, burbon, and other variations of spirits. Tony gave a phenomenal interactive presentation. Not only is Acre a distillery, it's also a bar, and they have coffee! Shoutout to Quinn, Luis, and Grace--they were so awesome and kind! Super great happy hour spot! And let me tell you, they do not skimp on the alcohol because I only got a mule (one of the $5 happy hour options) and it was STRONG! Very good, and they have lots of different spirits to vary it up for you. I was hoping for something with grapefruit flavor, which they didn't have, but she did put some actual grapefruit into my drink too. With it being strong, and the fact I had barely eaten today, I had to get a pizza and it was really delicious! 12.99 for 8 slices (not humongous slices but not teeny tiny either). Honestly not bad price-wise for a bar, especially in downtown FW. I went because I went with some women I met after an event around the corner at A&M Law School, and they said they love to support this place because of the owner and great drinks! This is such a warm and homey place! I don't think I've had such a perfect cocktail in my life. The menu is huge and if the cocktail I had was representative of how good the rest of it is - this place will have you set for a good night. We came by on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. They had three (I think) tasting parties going at once. I was not privy to those, but we watched them through the glass and they looked very enjoyable. We did have a hard time finding the building because it kind of blends in. We actually completely drove by it the first go around. If we had come by later in the evening it would have been obvious, since they have string lights on the patio. I love Acre Distilling, you guys. I know at the moment we can't hang out in their cozy lounge area, or do a tour & tasting where you learn all about downtown Fort Worth while sampling a loooot of booze.. BUT you can purchase liquor from them. They make incredible spirits here: whiskey and vodka in all kinds of different flavors, as well as gin and rum, limoncello and orangecello! Acre has a beautiful craft cocktail menu but they also serve as a coffee shop and have local java + a few baked goods. They also sell flatbreads and charcuterie boards. It's such a great spot for a snack and a delicious locally sourced beverage. I love knowing that Acre uses their distillery and resources to create hand sanitizer that they donate to local medical facilities.
