The project included adding a new bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet, as well as opening up and expanding our kitchen, dining and living room to create a huge open and inviting living space. One of the more complex parts of the project involved removing a load-bearing wall and installing structural beams to support the new open layout. John and his team handled this seamlessly, and the finished result looks fantastic. John's crew was punctual, hardworking, and professional throughout the entire project. John's communication skills were great as he was always responsive and willing to answer questions, always replying to texts in the evenings or on weekends when decisions came up. He also helped guide us through the permitting process, which made a potentially stressful step much easier. Another thing we really appreciated was how conscientious the team was about cleanliness. With two kids and two dogs at home, it meant a lot that they took the time to clean up the worksite each evening and keep things as safe and organized as possible. I have worked with John twice for my previous house and current house. For our first house, the…read moreproject involved demo'ing our existing stucco, adding insulation, applying new coats of stucco, finish with smooth stucco and accent sidings. He also demo'ed our entrance concrete and installed pavers. Everything was done according to plan and there was no surprises. Price was reasonable. We got a new home and needed to add a top smooth stucco on existing stucco. We also had to modify our 3 single-door garage into a 1 single plus 1 double door. We also needed to install a new entry door, window sills, etc. John came through again with a reasonable price after interviewing a few others. The garage door modification was very substantial involving structural engineering drawing, replacing steel beam, new framing, etc. John was able to complete all of these and helped us pass final inspection. We had to pause for over 6 months waiting for our custom entry door to be made, and once it arrived John wrapped up everything without any delays. In all honesty we never worked with any GC more than once, but John is the only exception.

They provided a very comprehensive bid and was able to give us confidence they had experience and the skill to handle a project of our scope which is why we selected them. The project was massive, demo'ing the entire interior, turning the area that used to be an attached garage into our living room/great room, rebuilding a garage in a different area of our lot, adding an additional bedroom and two additional baths. They gave us an honest bid of the cost and timeline. The owner, Tim, is very knowledgeable and gave us good guidance and recommendations along the way. The project manager, Chase, was extremely diligent in keeping us updated on status, giving us reasonable timelines for us to make decisions and handling ordering of hundreds of items that we had to select. He was also very prompt in dealing with the occasional issues that came up (vendor sending wrong front door, having to select new stone counter tops when the company cut holes in wrong locations, etc. Zigrang crew were always professional and courteous and their standards are very high. We were impressed with how everything turned out: drywall was perfect, exterior siding was perfect, plumbing and cabinets were outstanding, paint and finishes were top notch. And on top of all of this, they were able to get us back into our home one month earlier than they originally promised. That was a very pleasant bonus. We are very happy with our home and Zigrang's continued commitment to making sure we are happy and everything in our new home is working properly. Remodels and construction will always have stressful situations and unplanned events, but Zigrang managed to keep those to a very minimum and always handled unfortunate situations in a way that ensured we were kept very satisfied.
