Booking was easy on line. But if you need to call for any reason booking or after checking in getting someone to answer phone ca be challenging. They said they would immediately let us know when unit was available if before 4 No one called we got to office just before 4 and they had already moved our check in packet to late check in box downstairs. Moving into our unit we walked thru multiple spider webs like no one had been in there for days. Views were not unobstructed as described. I am renting a unit from this company through vrbo. The condo is in Savannah Beach and Racquetball Club. We arrived later in the day Tuesday. The unit B108 was cute and all we needed for our stay. We overlooked the musty smell, buckling of the hall floor, and the issues with the a/c. Wednesday morning we got up and went to explore and get groceries. We arrived back and there was a construction van sitting outside the unit and workers were cutting plywood outside of the balcony. Around 2pm I reached out to the "host" and was told that this only goes on during the off season. The employee said she would look into this and someone would be contacting me. A couple hours later Keith Gay (managing partner and associated to the Savannah Beach and Racquetball Club in some way) called me was extremely rude and dismissive about my concerns regarding the hazards created. I had to contact vrbo for a resolution. At that time they offered to move us to another location. It was in another building, so we had to pack up dinner, all of our belongings, and the groceries we had purchased. Going up and down the stairs several times through the hazards of the construction site. I requested that they make it right for the inconvenience of the situation and asked to not deal with Keith Gay again. I patiently waited all day Thursday for a response, sent an email and messaged the company through vrbo. At 5:23 ( they close at 5:30) Keith Gay called me asked that I let him have his say and then I could respond. He said the construction was an emergency and needed to be done. I attempted to explain that it was obvious that it had been going on for weeks and wanted to ask why they still rented out the unit RIGHT next door and Keith continued to interrupt me. I now am working directly with vrbo only. I recommend Tybee Island but if this individual is associated to the business, suggest you go with another company. read more

We had two condos in the Silver Shores property. We were literally steps away from the beach. (Almost halfway between the beach and the main drag.) The property was well maintained, and decorated nicely. Each of our condos had identical floor plans: One king master with large bathroom, a queen bedroom and a full-sized bed bedroom. The other two bedrooms shared a smaller bathroom. The living room/kitchen area had two twin size sofa beds. The kitchen was fully equipped and had stainless appliances. A stack-able washer and dryer was hidden in a hall closet. At least two of the bedrooms had TVs and there was a large flat screen in the living area. A good sized balcony held a bistro table with chairs. Covered parking is included and this property does have an elevator. The only thing better would have been a view of the water. As we explored Tybee, we saw this property management sign everywhere on many different options, from more apartments and condos to huge houses. I would have no qualms about using them again (but would probably request Silver Shores). read more

Check in was pretty simple & all info was provided prior to arrival. Had some issues with the lock keypad that was a little frustrating, but after hours staff assisted quickly. I left an important item after check out and maintenance quickly brought it to the office for me to pick up. The room was as described; I'd recommend adding in the description there was a pull out couch as it was unclear until our arrival. Condo was clean and comfortable & in a great location. While the staff at the rental off is extremely friendly, I am not impressed with our condo. We stayed in Sandpiper 204. The views from the condo are absolutely amazing! The beach is within walking distance! The square footage for the condo is massive! It is very roomy for a family! However the hot water heater does not meet the demands of the condo! There is a whirlpool tub in the master suite that you cannot use because there isn't enough hot water for it. The dinning room table and chairs present a huge safety hazard! The legs are about to fall off!!! As far as the kitchen supplies they are adequate! I would strongly recommend you bringing your own cooking utensils, if possible! There are two amazing restaurants that are right next door that you have to try! Frannies on the beach and Spanky's Beachside are absolute must! The food and drink are amazing there!! You should be ashamed of yourselves. We couldn't make our rental because of the tummy bug. You do not put kids in a vehicle when vomiting. Doc says stay home, hydrate and rest. You took our money that we saved since covid hit so that we could finally have a family vacation after all that time. I bought the insurance you recommended and they refuse to pay. You refuse to give me even part of my money or even towards another rental at a future. So you get 1500 plus 130 insurance that you highly recommended and we get NOTHING! I am sure you have better insurance than what you sold me and could at least extend a small olive branch... But ZERO, ZIP, NOTHING! You should be ashamed taking money for no service! Dolphin Watch Unit 1 - this is just a few pictures of the condition of this condo. Very disappointed how much we were charged to stay in a place this poorly maintained. I did contact the property management, also sent email with same pictures , it's been 24 hours and they have not contacted me back . However, we did come in from the beach to find a maintenance guy there to replace the broken dishwasher wheel. No notice was given that someone was coming . I've also tried to leave reviews on other websites so this doesn't happen to another family but have been unable to do so . read more

We've all had bad vacation rental experiences; not always, but sometimes. If you haven't, you don't rent often. The test of a good rental agency is how they remedy the inevitable problem. TBVR is a star in my book. We rented a nice house that wasn't the right fit for our group. When I called to talk about it, they immediately sent us to a new rental. That too was not a good fit and we were ready to make do with couch surfing. 15 minutes later, the manager called and offered us a house that was twice the size of what we were renting and we did not have to pay an additional fee. I'm sure this would not be so easy during high-season but... just saying. The urgency they expressed to help us solve our problem in the very beginning of the rental was impressive, but when we found there was no outdoor grill, they actually repaired one and brought it to the house. When's the last time you had this kind of service? We have had miserable experiences with Air BnB so are thrilled to find a good agency to work with on Tybee. Bait and switch. False advertising. We made the mistake of scheduling a week long vacation at a property under this management team. We were given assurances that the property was beach front as this was one of the most important factors in us renting it as we have a 7 month old and we wanted a quick exit from the beach if he got too hot, and a view from the balcony that would keep him entertained as well. The pictures related to this also showed a view of the beach from the balcony. Upon getting our keys and arriving at the property, we found that it was 3 or 4 condos back from the beach with a view of another complex, not the beach. We called back and explained the unexpected circumstances to the management team and we were told that no one would have conveyed that this was a beach front and no pictures showing a beach view would have been put on the listing. So in the end we didn't know what we were talking about, were left with a hot and cranky baby, and had to get a refund and find another place to spend our vacation during this week. I wouldn't recommend that experience for anyone. They've now updated the listing with the correct pictures and information. They fixed the issue, just not for us. read more

Bay hideaway has potential, but is quite expensive for the accommodations. We had 12 guests who all left with massive amounts of bug bites, not sure if it was something outside or bedbugs. Trash was only picked up on Monday, but couldn't be put outside due to the massive amount of raccoons that tore through anything that was outside. Not problems you want to deal with while visiting family or vacationing. Staff is extremely petty and unwilling to fix issues, post experience. Very disappointed, as we had been repeat customers and had no previous concerns with the other property. read more

I would give it 0 stars if it was an option!!! we checked in yesterday about 5.. kids were super excited. they have never stayed anywhere like it. we were at dolphin watch, condo 5. they are 4 and 2. both boys were playing and running around like kids do. we get a note on the door saying "please stop stomping" kids get their cars out to play. all of a sudden we hear banging on the floor. we put them to bed about 9. get up about 7 to get. breakfast, walk the beach, get ice cream, and go on the pier. we get back about 10 to let the boys cool off before lunch. they were playing again and we hear beating on the floor. I get them ready to go get lunch and they are running around excited to be going to get pizza. someone knocks at the door. house keeping lady starts yelling and telling us the kids need to stop, whatever. we call management and talk to KEITH, an owner. he says he will check it out and call us back. well we go down again about 1:30 to pick up our pizza we had ordered before the drama started. our car had been keyed on every panel. the date sticker on the tag had also been scraped off. we call the law then call management back. KEITH tells me that his house keeper had apologized (acknowledging it was his employee who had confronted us) i tell him she had keyed our 2019 highlander wanting to know how he planned to make things right because our car was in perfect condition before arriving at his condos. he tells me there is nothing I can do because I wont be able to prove it was his employee due to them having no cameras. I tell him we could be regular customers (about 4 times a year) and he says that it wont make a difference anyway. he, along with the housekeeper, was very unprofessional and rude. we will not be back. I would advise if you have kids, a nice vehicle, or just want a nice vacation, stay elsewhere. read more

Do not use Tybee. We had booked a home for a family weekend. We bought insurance for the fact my mother n law had been really sick ( she did pass the week before our trip) The Hurricane hit. We were still planning on coming since our family lives in 3 different states and this was the only time we had to see each other. Tybee called and canceled on us. They offered to reschedule but was not in the time frame we could do it. The insurance did not pay us. We have went back and forth with them even asking for a voucher to use when we could find a date... they will not do it nor will they give us our money back. This was not our fault and we did every thing we could. They are not family motivated at all and do not care about their customers. My family even lost plane fair from this. Never ever will I recommend to use them. read more

In March, my mother booked our family vacation to Tybee Island through Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals for July 15-22. The contract was signed and the payment was sent. Today, two weeks before we are set to depart, we were notified that due to construction, we would no longer be able to stay at the condominium we rented and they had nothing else that week that accommodated our family. Our first visit to Tybee Beach was an excellent experience thanks to Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals. The booking process was easy and there were many options of places to rent. The staff at Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals was extremely helpful and suggested different options on different areas of the beach. We chose one of the condos that was suggested and we were so pleased!! We stayed at the Captain's Watch in unit 20 which was large enough for the two couples staying, beautifully decorated and super clean! The master bath has a huge walk in shower and the front porch is excellent. The condo that I rented was filthy and not well appointed - basics were not provided, such as a dust pan and clothing hangers. Perhaps the place was so dirty because there was no dust pan! I complained to the management and asked for the cleaning fee that I paid to be refunded and got no response. There are many other management companies to choose from on Tybee. read more

My condominium at DeSoto Beach was spotless when we arrived and the furnishings and artwork are lovely. The office staff have answered all my questions and requests; the caretakers/workers too. Booking is super simple with these folks and if you're a repeat customer, remember to ask for a "repeat guest" discount. Becky R. helped us out with our reservation and she was so friendly and helpful (please give her a raise)! Every person we spoke with from beginning to end was helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Pelican House and could not have been more pleased with the rental home and location. The house was thankfully clean and there were no signs of dust or bugs anywhere. We've stayed at other beach homes before and often found them to be musky, damp and in need of a good sweep but this was not the case at the Pelican House. The one con is the check-in time which is probably an industry standard. Since check in is at 4pm and check out is 10am, you practically lose a day. The office did however allow us to come in early to fill out paperwork which helped to move things along during the check-in process. We will use Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals again in the future! read more

Well since Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals deleted my previous review, I'll leave another. I stayed at Boyleston Place the first week off August with my family. Beautiful condo but terrible smell. There are dumpsters everywhere that smell awful and construction going on next door which was loud. That's not even my issue with this place. We cleaned up, washed towels which wasn't required, took the trash out, and left it like we found it. But we did leave a tea jug on the counter that I forgot to wash. MY BAD. so we got charged a $60 fee for an"excessive cleaning fee" and I was told that we left the place disgusting with trash everywhere.... The only thing left out was a tea jug. We folded the extra blankets and left them on the couch and I was told that caused us a fee as well. I asked the manager why they would want us to put the blankets back if they would need to wash them anyway. HE TOLD ME THEY DONT LAUNDER THE EXTRA BLANKETS. that is purely disgusting. I would never sleep with bed linen that wasn't washed. That is just pitiful and this place is a joke. Never again will we stay here. read more
