We have stayed at Tybee several times and just LOVE the places we have stayed at. The staff are amazing and so helpful, they make checking in and out such a breeze!! The property we stayed at was Gorgeous with amazing view. The kitchen was to die for ... just awesome!! The place made you feel at home. Decent place. Great destination, size, and views. It was clean when we arrived and had all the essentials. Minor hiccups, and the staff was quick to handle and attentive. The reason for the one star is the inside roaches. Despite the company sending an exterminator mid vacation, before and after said exterminator whom promised the roaches wouldn't be in our rooms, we saw at least 20 German roaches. Upstairs. Downstairs. During the day. At night. In the kitchen. In the living room. In the bathroom. In the hallway. And worst of all, in our bedroom a mere foot from where my child slept. I'm scared to think of all the ones we didn't see. No one should have to stress an entire vacation about roaches and taking them home with you. Also, there was a bee or wasp nest next to our patio door and several of us got stung. read more

Stayed in Sandpiper 304 over the Memorial Day holiday. The only good thing about this condo was its location. The front door locks were rusted. The refrigerator was rusty and leaking a brown goo. The management warns that supplies are "limited" - that is an understatement. When I posted my review of the condo it was deleted - as well as my Facebook post. Only positive comments allowed- which is what lead me to rent from them to begin with. Very poor business. read more

They lost our reservation, computer glitch, but they made it right by giving us an exponentially better property for the same price. The house we selected to replace our original reservation was clean and very nice. When we had an issue with the air conditioner, someone came right away to address the issue. This is a great company with great customer service. read more

We stayed in Mariner's View for about a week and it was pretty darn nice. There are 4 bedrooms, all with king beds, and all with attached bathrooms. Very nice for traveling with extended family or with friends. We had a problem with the fridge ice maker, it was addressed quickly, no worries. All else worked well and the place was nicely furnished, newly updated, and very clean. There is a washer and dryer in unit which is very nice. There are two balconies with decent views, and the beach is close by and not overly crowded. Kitchen is nicely appointed and we were able to make it work well for our group of 14. Minor gripes: They phone it in on providing paper towels and toilet paper. Seems like something that should be included. I realize you need to provide food and a number of things, but I think of paper towels and toilet paper akin to linens -- it should just be there. There's a hot tub, but it's in the garage. Not exactly ambience. Someone literally called and grumbled to us about hanging towels on the balcony. Classy. Old people, man. They're angry about things. All in all it was a nice place to stay, on a quieter part of the island. Would definitely stay again. read more

Spent the weekend on tybee at the inlet breeze cottage they represent for my boyfriends 30th birthday. It was a perfect weekend and the property company was polite and explained everything clearly. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything we needed. I just wish there was a later check out time because I didn't want my mini vacation to end. Stayed in the "orange-u-beachy" rental over new years weekend and loved it! We were looking for a place last minute & Oceanfront responded super quickly to our inquiries about the properties. The office was very friendly and organized from check in to check out. If we come back to Tybee we will definitely be using this company again. The house was pretty awesome as well. It had awesome retro decor and everything we needed in the kitchen. It was also super close to everything in south beach & we could walk to the pier & all of the resturants/shops.the only downside was the strong smelling sulphur water. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE RENTAL.....which we did! We just rented a property through Oceanfront Rentals in Tybee Island, GA in June 2020. We rented one of their larger houses, Heaven by the Sea. We chose this property specifically for its private beach access and private pool. Upon our arrival, we noticed immediately that the pool was disgustingly dirty. Luckily, one of the members of our group owns a pool company so he checked it out and discovered that the PH in the pool was completely out of whack, it had not been backwashed in ages, there was no skimmer, and no weir, and the stone waterfall was covered in algae. The pool was UNSUITABLE FOR USE which was incredibly frustrating since we paid a high price to have that luxury. We called Oceanfront immediately to address that problem along with the fact that the grill had NO PROPANE in it, so we could not use it as we had planned to that evening, the fridge on the main floor was leaking water, and the fridge down on the first level was not getting cold. Oceanfront did not send anyone to help us until the NEXT DAY. Two men who worked for the rental company showed up and fixed the fridge and brought us propane. The same two men were also the "pool guys", but they knew NOTHING about pools. They said they would get the necessary supplies and return within a few hours, but they never came back. So, on FATHER'S DAY, and ON THEIR VACATION, the three dads in our group (one of whom owns the pool company) drove 45 minutes each way to buy the necessary supplies to fix the pool and then spend the afternoon cleaning it so the kids could swim in it the next day. Just to clarify, we were TWO days into our vacation before that pool was suitable for use. I called Oceanfront to very kindly discuss the issues, and I was told that I would hear back from the supervisor shortly AND that we would be credited for the nights we did not have use of the pool. I did not get a call. A few days later, I received a call from Amy, the supervisor, who said she'd need to speak to the owners about how to compensate us and she would get back to me. Our vacation came and went, and I did not hear anything. I called several times within the two weeks since our vacation ended, and the only thing Amy says she can do for us is to reimburse us for the items we purchased to fix the pool. I should think that is obvious, and while we do appreciate reimbursement for the items purchased to fix the pool, we should also be credited back the two nights we were not able to use it, AS WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD BE! So there you go......that's how Oceanfront works. THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Oceanfront Cottage Rentals! We visited Tybee Island a year ahead of a wedding we had last weekend to scope out the area and choose houses to rent. We asked them for several houses near each other, some pet friendly, certain bedroom requirements, etc...they placed us in just the perfect houses in a beautiful neighborhood just off the walkout to the ceremony location. When we wanted to add a day to our trip they helped us make that happen. The houses where very clean and well kept. The AC was fabulous! The hot tubs were very clean and the furnishings were very comfortable. Each time I called, they answered immediately and answered all our questions with a friendly attitude. In short, a large group of family was so excited to visit Tybee and get away amidst all the craziness occurring in the world right now. Well, this vacation was anything but relaxing. We arrived at Tybee Oasis to find that the 'beach access' is actually a main artery for large ship travel and more like a river than beach. And the day we arrived, the AC wasn't working on the main level of the house (mind you it is 95+ out and we had 3 little ones with us) which is where the kitchen, dining room, living room all are located along with a few rooms. Called the emergency number when the thermostat was reading 87, no call back (this was a Sunday). Called again in the morning and they said they'd send someone out. Maintenance man arrives, essentially says he can't fix it but will bring a window unit. While he was there I pointed out that the door to the shared bathroom was broken, he fixed and that the tub was stopped up, he also fixed this. That evening a HVAC tech shows up and after some hours, fixes the issue (no Freon refrigerant among other issues) and the house starts to cool down - thank goodness! While he was repairing, the sheer amount of gunk and sludge that came out of the lines shows that HVAC preventative maintenance isn't occurring at the property. Going on with our vacation, all is well for a few days...then the AC breaks again, on Thursday. When we left, it was still hovering around 87. Now, I have called and talked to at least 3 different people at the rental agency and keep getting 'we'll call you back', 'have to talk to the owner', etc. As of now, no one has called me back and we checked out 18 days ago, very poor customer service. I would highly recommend skipping this property and management company all together. read more

I rented Casa Verde last week from Oceanfront and the experience was pleasant and amazing. The home was exactly as expected based on pictures from the website. The customer service was attentive, friendly and helpful. I had some issues with the refrigerator, dishwasher and shower and called during hours and after hours and no matter what time it was within 15 minutes I received a call back and within 1 hour someone was out to repair even at 7pm at night. Each person I had to deal with was friendly and very helpful no matter what the issue or time was. I would definitely rent again from them. read more

PLEASE READ!!!! My mother and I were going for a beach trip to Tybee Island, we went through Oceanfront Cottage Rentals, and stayed at the Desoto condominiums. We were SUPPOSED to be there for THREE nights (Saturday- Tuesday morning). BUT they "accidentally" CANCELED our Monday stay so we had to leave on Monday at 10 am. They didn't care at all that they did that. They said "better find somewhere else". They didn't EVEN try to make it better, give us a later check out time, let us rent the same condo for another night, or even let us pack up all of our stuff and rent another condo here for one more night. They literally did NOTHING! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Anyway, we got in late arriving and had to go to the Oceanfront Cottages Rentals office which was fine. I opened up the envelope they left in the box for us- it contained directions on how to get to the condo from the office, a LIST of CLEANING you have to do before you take off and a contract to be signed and be dropped back off the next day. The parking spaces are VERY small and there is minimal parking- if you don't park in your designated space you WILL BE TOWED. Also, if you want guess to come over , they all better come in one car considering thats all the "extra" parking your allowed. Make sure they have a parking pass hanging on their car or they WILL BE TOWED. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the garage door opener only works sometimes. We got locked out for a good 15 minutes. Next, they give you no directions on which keys are for what. Theres 3 keys, one for the outside of the elevator, the inside of the elevator, and I have no idea what the third one is even for. That was great trying to figure out when the elevator will only stay open for a minute and a half before it SHUTS DOWN FOR 30 MNUTES! Before you leave you have to A. Do the dishes. B. Take the trash out. C. put the towels and sheets in the washer. For how much this place coast they should be doing that. Especially since you PAY a fee for maids to come clean. They have really weird rules about having the lights on inside when its dark. Hopefully you like the dark. If you accidentally forget something you have to PAY a 35$ CONVENIENT FEE AS WELL AS SHIPPING!!!! The remote to the TVs do not work and if you take one on ACCIDENT they will charge you! The room numbers are confusing; room numbers starting in "2" for example "209" is on the THIRD level. AND they don't have the room number written inside the condo. We thought we were in the wrong place, we decided to call the office for help ( they have an after hours number to call ) they didn't answer. Luckily we found our condo number written in a book in a drawer. Keep in mind, they CANCELED our stay here. I have heard of this happening BEFORE!!! I really hope this helps!! Best of luck. read more
