The facility is very welcoming of all people and does not make anyone feel unwelcome or secluded based off of your race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. all the barbers are very well trained and are not cosmetologist that think they know how to cut hair. They're barbers! Prices vary depending on what services you want, but a normal haircut is $40. It's definitely worth it. If you have to wait, there's drinks, games, and a giant flat screen tv with cable. However, if you just make an appointment , the barbers are all professional and honor your time. I saw their shop and sent a message to see if any of them cut women's hair. They replied that if I was going for a short cut almost anybody could cut my hair. So I made an appointment. My appointment was with Darren. Darren took his time by asking me specific questions regarding how low I wanted my hair, the sides, what kind of edging I wanted, etc. I was nervous. I'm not going to lie! I'm used to my hair stylist, washing my hair and then cutting it and I've been going to her for so long. She knows my hair, my style, etc. So I answered all of Darren's questions and chimed in when I wanted something done and he obliged. I use gel in my hair so after every haircut I normally go home, add gel, to see how it looks. You should have seen the smile on my face when I got home, washed my hair, and saw that it was a really good cut! Yes! Finally! So, I'll be back.

The cut was $40, something they hadn't mentioned upon walking in, and when I asked how to leave the tip, the guy said "I already took care of it." I was so surprised it took me a moment to realize the audacity this man (Matt I believe his name was) had. I was in a hurry to see family, so I didn't make a big deal of it. But considering that Matt couldn't even give me a proper zero line up and gave me no choice other than a (poorly done) fade, the dude should have been happy with $5. Since moving to Baltimore I've been searching for a barber to cut my hair so I don't have to drive back to PG County. I've dabbled at a few spots and even settled on a spot. THEN, the woman cutting my hair disappeared! Anyway, here I am at Davis Barber, specifically for WaWa. I found her on my search and finally came for a cut. I hate having to going through the process of detailing what I want and hoping it's not bad. I mean, hair does grow back, but who wants to go through all that. But, WaWa had it under control. I found a pic of my hair after a cut. She asked a few questions, and BAM! It was done. I must admit, I was surprised for one by her understanding of what I wanted and 2) the fact that I wasn't in that chair for an hour while she tried to figure it out. That's what you call SKILL. And, when she was done I asked for a few modifications and......... I gotta say, I'M IMPRESSED. My partner is impressed as well. When she says she's been cutting hair for 15 years, and after personally experiencing her skills, I believe her. The shop is old school! It was like stepping back in time. They even had a few OLD, OLD vending machines. Vintage chairs and all. Very laid back. And older neighborhood, but you can park out front. I'll be back!
