I used to go to Johnny's (next door to B Gate), but he really did a very poor job not once, but twice in successive visits. That ended my relationship with Johnny's. I stopped into B Gate because I have historically had good luck with Korean barbers. The owner of B Gate did not disappoint! She takes her time and does great work. She's very friendly and she has nice sense of humor. Prices are comparable to others in the area. When she's done, she uses a hot towel to clean your neck while she massages your neck. It's just a pleasant overall experience! I wholeheartedly recommend you giver her a try!

Luckily, I stumbled unto Key's tik-tok video showing someone with a great cut, and she was nearby. Made my first appointment, and she nailed it. I was relieved to finally find my barber. Its been 6 months now, and I could not be happier. Shes always on time, always greets you with a beautiful smile, always easy to talk to, listens to any requests, and gives great recommendations. Her shop is spotless, and her gear is solid. I didn't know a tapper was right for me, I always had a fade, until she fixed me up. Wife loves it. Coworkers notice the look. I did a fair amount of searching for a barbershop and went through the reviews for them. I came across this one and liked what I saw. I set up my appointment online ahead of time which made it a bit easier. Doing so you have the choice of selecting who you want to service you. Being that I had never been here before I opted for whoever was available at that time. I had set my appointment for shortly after they opened and after my appointment beforehand. Showed up a few minutes early and took my time in the parking lot before going inside. Once inside I was greeted as soon as I walked in and told that I needed to give them just a minute. Once they were set up and ready to go I was called to a chair. Asked what I wanted to have done and with a few vague comments about that, we were off. They were meticulous with my ask and focused. All the while chatting me up. It was comical to hear the banter in here. They had on CNN and their commentary was better than the newscasters. Before I knew it, they were finished and I was ready to go. My beard looked a lot better than it had looked in a long time and I am grateful for the correction of this.

The cut came out with no frills, generally looking neat, and he was careful with some of the oddities of how my hair grows to not highlight that. The conversation I can describe - at best - as minimal. He saw me wearing a mask when I came in, and he put one on so I could feel comfortable taking mine off when he cut around my ears. The cut was $18 - I may have over tipped since they only take cash and I didn't have change and needed to rush out to answer a call. My overall impression - I've had better hair cuts, and I've spent A LOT more on them too. I'll probably come back since my go-to (which used to be on the way home from work) is now a bit too far out of the way, and I do love supporting local businesses.
