The aftermath of a visit to Tyson's. A tired dog is a happy dog.
    Sasha G.

When I adopted my new dog, I was bummed my old doggie daycare closed, but remembered a friend took her dogs to Tyson's. Their in-take and evaluation is super simple, and their reservation process is a breeze. Like with any boarding facility, make your holiday reservations in advance. My dog LOVES the facility and their people! He's always super excited to go, gets welcomed by name, and comes home happily tired. I love that they always make posts to their Facebook page, and take the cutest photos of my dog. They also sell dog food and treats. A special shout for Mona, who has been a total jewel!

I really wanted a dog, but my busy schedule didn't really allow for a dog. Then Covid-19 happened and I'd be home more and I saw a dog that I fell in love with. I call him Mr. Bruno. As the pandemic raged on, I found that days I had to be in the office, Mr. Bruno wasn't happy being at home alone for 11-12 hours a day, even with a walker coming in. I wanted to find something that would help him socialize and get to spend all of his energy. Tyson's reopened for day care a few months later and after vetting them thoroughly, I decided to try them out. I had called and was greeted by Mona who offered a tour of the facility. I walked over and saw the play areas and the holding areas. She also explained that Tyson doesn't offer the usual day care: where dogs are all thrown into one or two rooms together. That, in fact, Tyson groups dogs based on size and temperament and usually a group is 2-5 dogs. Given Mr. Bruno's unknown past, I figured this was a great way to acclimate him. The first day, I was told, Mr. Bruno would not be with any dogs. The staff would get to know him and see if he is a good fit and with whom he should play with. Mr. Bruno is also very fearful of new environments and on his first day, I had to walk him into the back. The staff was very gentle with him, giving him his space to feel comfortable. He wouldn't let the staff remove his harness until the afternoon. When I picked Mr. Bruno up that evening, he was happy to see me, but also really tired. I was happy. From visit number 2 until today, Mr. Bruno runs into Tyson's every morning. He loves day care. As we drive down the long driveway, he cries in excitement to get there and see his friends. On his activity tracker, he clocks anywhere from 40,000-55,000 steps and always sleeps on the ride home. Tyson's also posts to their Facebook page every day and I love seeing pictures of Mr. Bruno with his friends. If it weren't for Tyson's, I wouldn't be able to have Mr. Bruno and keep him sane while I am working long days. I believe they legitimately care about the dogs and make sure they are well cared for. I feel like the staff knows my Mr. Bruno and his idiosyncrasies. Thank you Tyson's for helping me care for my little guy and making my life a little bit easier and less stressful.

    Bae is a Queen

Bae loves staying here when I was living nearby. It's kinda a trek now that I'm in SJ. I don't want to fid her a new place though. She always gets a queen's treatment nails done, hair done, everything did!

Thor enjoying playtime at Tyson's World of Dogs.

Tyson's saved us! We have been taking our dog, Thor, to daycare nearly every day for the last 1.5 years. Thor has severe separation anxiety. He figured out how to escape our yard and we didn't trust him not to eat our couch if we left him locked inside the house while we were away at work. Thanks to a coworker, we were referred to Tyson's World of Dogs in March 2017. Tyson's is amazing! I contacted them, received a tour from Mona the same day and had Thor in daycare the following Monday. The rates are very reasonable and we receive a discount when we purchase multi-day packs. They do have group play so the dogs can socialize with one another or one-on-one play for those dogs who are not so social. Mona greets us every morning with a smiling face. She makes sure to take Thor back to the kennels quickly so he doesn't get nervous with the "hand off." She is professional and caring, taking the time needed to make us all feel comfortable. Mona gives us regular updates on Thor. She has offered suggestions on how to help ease his anxiety. In the afternoon, we chat with Vanessa or Tiara while Pablo or Lisa retrieves Thor from the kennels. Everyone is so friendly and I believe they truly have the animals' best interests at heart. They are patient with us, patient with Thor and all his issues. To optimize their great love for animals even more, they alerted us to a small, pink mass under Thor's tongue. It turned out to be a plasmacytoma requiring major jaw surgery. Who knows how long it would have taken before we had seen the mass and addressed it?!? Tyson's may well have saved Thor's life! I believe that we would not have been able to keep Thor had we not been connected with Tyson's. For those of you who are animal lovers, you know how heartbreaking and desperate a situation this can be. We love our dog, he's a member of our family, but we couldn't keep him safe while we were at work. Enter Tyson's to the rescue! Because of them, we are able to keep our fur-baby as part of our family and we're able to go to work knowing he's safe and being treated like a king!

Barry having a blast at Tyson's!
    Lacie W.

I've been bringing my dog, Barry, to Tyson's 5 days a week for the last two years for daycare. Now, Barry is not the easiest dog in the world. He loves other dogs but is very scared of new people. When we first started taking him, I was worried they'd never get him out of his run to go out and play. Somehow, they managed, and now Barry loves every single person who works there! When I take him in the morning, he couldn't be more excited. As new people have joined, they've all made an effort to get to know him and I love to see how quickly he warms up to them. I seriously don't know how they do it! I also love that dogs play in small groups and are highly supervised vs leaving all dogs all together to play all day. They do a great job of finding dogs that play well together so that the dogs are always safe and comfortable. Lastly, it's great to be able to check their Facebook Page and see so many pictures of Barry happily playing all day with his little crew of dogs. The people at Tyson's clearly love dogs and care about every dog that comes through their door and I'm so glad we have them to take such good care of Barry!

All I can say is wow. After years of struggling with leash reactivity, bringing Ziggy here has been life-changing. He's truly a different dog. He now walks in a beautiful heel through crowded areas, stays calm around other dogs, and can even ignore dogs that run up behind him, something I never thought would be possible. The biggest gift has been seeing him able to simply coexist without feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated. It's been such a breath of fresh air for both of us. I can't thank Jen and her team enough for everything they've done. Their knowledge, dedication, and care have completely transformed Ziggy's confidence and our daily life together. I would recommend them a thousand times over to anyone looking for real, lasting results.

She was clearly taken care of well and came out looking so clean, soft, and refreshed. One thing that made the whole visit even easier was the parking. They have several designated spots, and there is even a 1 hour spot that is usually open. Since drop off for grooming only takes about 5 minutes, parking was honestly not an issue at all. The shop itself also feels new, clean, and refreshing, which makes a big difference when you are leaving your dog in someone else's care. Overall, very smooth experience, and I would definitely bring Happee back.

I felt secure and comfortable right away especially that Tequila needed extra care (she has a hip joint problem and suffers a lot whenever someone touches her). Tequila bounded quickly with Karen and when I san her licking her I felt confortable enough to leave. When I came back to pick her up (she was ready before the due time and they tried calling me but was driving and heading there anyway) I was surprisingly happy to see how cute my baby Tequila looked and how at ease she was (she usually get very scared in an environment she is not used to). The price is very reasonable knowing that my baby was very tangled and it includes everything from shampoo to nails to trimming to eyes cleaning.... all for 55$ I already booked Tequila's next appointment for shampoo as I am really bad at brushing her hair and it gets tangled , when she stars shaking I start shaking . I even got a collar as a present for a first visit. I highly recommend this place the girls are fun and surely love dogs (they both have dogs) and definitely know how to make our dogs pretty.

This place has been convenient and fairly easy to book for her. That said. After explaining what she wanted for her dog sometimes the face trim is way off. Sometimes the rest of a cut has been uneven and odd. This last time she (she is visually impaired) didn't see that even tho she had specifically asked to be sure his ears were trimmed as he sometimes has matting, the hair in his ears was still a bit long. He had a vet app and the vet noted that he had a clot of wax knotted in his ear hair. A clot. They removed it and now she is "done" with this groomer. Their lack of care for what a dog mom has requested and what she thought was being done is not worth the somewhat less $$ deal she had hoped she was getting. The intake folks are always a bit brusque and definitely not welcoming. Like. At all. If you need minimal grooming for your fur baby. Maybe this bargain place will be ok. Overall? Don't recommend.
