After trying many groomers, I found Artistic Pet Salon. This place is the complete package as far as I'm concerned. From the handoff of my dogs to the very courteous staff to the haircuts/designs that my dogs had when I picked them up was awesome! My female Poodle even had her nails painted pink! Professional from every aspect. Additionally, I found this salon to be very clean, which I cannot say about most others that I have tried in the past. The cost of the grooming, which included ear cleaning and nail clipping, came at a very fair price. My Poodle's are always happy to see Laura when they return to Artostic Pet Salon, which tells me that they are treated well when they are being groomed. I would recommend Artistic Pet Salon to any pet owner. Pet grooming doesn't get any better than this!!!

Friday comes around, and I drop my dog off. Cool, no problem. The lady told me my dog would be ready in about 2 hours. 3:30pm comes around and so I park outside waiting for a call and 30 minutes, still nothing. So I walk inside and the lady tells me that I never had an appointment. She thought I was another customer who was scheduled for around that time apparently. So she said she can squeeze my dog in and be ready in an hour. Made no sense because I showed her the time/day of the phone call and she had nothing to say. Mind you, it's 5pm and now I have to wait ANOTHER hour for my dog to be ready. If I never parked outside of the building and went inside to ask about my dog, I would've never gotten a call because she told me she didn't even have my name and phone number. Absolutely ridiculous. Edit: My dog is 12 lbs. Didn't think that that was considered medium.

On 01-13-2026 , I brought my dog in for ONLY a nail trim and a paw pad cleaning. I did not consent to any other grooming services. Without my authorization, the groomer partially shaved her belly and shaved her vaginal and anus area. During this unauthorized grooming, the groomer cut my dog's nipple, causing active bleeding that could not be controlled on-site. My dog is a rescue who was previously bred multiple times. This is visibly apparent due to enlarged and elongated teats. When I personally groom her, I always use a guard to prevent injury, which is a standard safety measure a professional groomer should also be using. While my dog was being groomed, I heard a dog crying and yelping from the grooming area. Staff denied it was my dog; however, I am confident it was her. After the grooming was completed, the groomer brought my dog out and stated, "I shaved her belly, vaginal area, and butt," followed by, "Hold her because I cut her." A bandage was applied, but the bleeding did not stop. As a result, I was forced to take my dog to a veterinarian immediately. The business did refund the grooming service and paid the veterinary bill. However, the injury should never have occurred, as the services performed were not authorized. I am posting this review to document unsafe grooming practices, lack of informed consent, and injury to my pet. I am seeking accountability and assurance that this business will implement proper consent procedures and safety measures to prevent harm to other animals in the future.
