Which is a terrible idea to trap two 70 pound dogs in a cage and think that they're going to get along. What if they got into a fight inside of the kennel? Which they have before at home. I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to talk about my experience with this groomer. My Corgi went in to get a bath and a shedding treatment on Tuesday. He was sore after and now it's Sunday and I've noticed he has open wounds all over his back. I took him to River Trail Animal Hospital to have them look at the wounds. The vet said it was a bacterial infection from being brushed roughly. It's a problem with groomers that don't have clean brushes. I've had to put him on antibiotics for the next two weeks. First off, when I called about taking my puppy they said they don't need shot records bc the dogs are never in the same are. If you go there you know they all share the same path in and out. I'm not psycho about dog vaccinations but I would expect the truth from a place. The same lady spent over 10 minutes yelling at a younger employee in front of customers for multiple things. Even started fresh new arguments before assisting customers. When I made the appt no estimate of pricing could be given, groomers set their own prices. It cost $75 for a puppy cut and my puppy looked about the exact same. When asked about how much a full groom would be they said approx $120+ but they didn't know for sure. I dont mind paying these prices if the cleanliness, professionalism and care are there, but it isn't. Save your time and money. read more

Great facility; nicely decorated, everything within arm's reach, lots of complementary treats and goodies (scarf, ball and scent). The worst part about bathing my dog is the clean up afterward. BEWARE - Be careful here; You'll never really know what happened to your babies. The way the care only about denying fault over admitting error for the sake of the dog's care is beyond me. I have two girls that get serviced every three weeks... and they'll never go there again. I have never, ever been one to give a bad review for any business unless something was absolutely absurd and the staff did nothing to correct it, which is what happened here just now. I called them earlier this week and the lady who answered the phone quoted me a price of $70 - $90 for my 70lb doodle (who's hair I keep short and never needs detangling) that's as docile and compliant as a dog can possibly be. When I picked her up just now, they charged me $140 without tip!!!! When the (apparent) manager came out to speak with me, I explained the situation and she just said that whomever answered the phone was incorrect and shouldn't have told me that. I told her that she needed to honor that price because that's what I was told but she refused. All she offered was a discount on a future visit, which will NEVER happen. If you're hiring people who have no clue what they're doing and are that far off on pricing when speaking to customers, YOU NEED TO OWN THAT MISTAKE AND CORRECT IT. Otherwise, it's pretty much false advertising that you're condoning. So disappointing and shady! read more

I'm not one to write negative reviews, but when it comes to fur babies, I think it's needed. I really wanted to like this place. Close to home, local Jenks etc. The location was very clean, and I was greeted by a nice girl. I have a 5 year old sheltie who *had* a beautiful coat. When meeting with the groomer, we went over in detail how I would like him cut, even showing a photo. No extreme cuts, just clean up the edges where needed. Not losing length. He likes his fluff! When I picked him up, I was in such shock I wasn't sure what to do. He had been almost shaved. His beautiful coat is gone. They even cut his full white collar to the point of him not even looking like himself. The hair around his face is a chopped mess, completely uneven. A total disaster. If you're going to shave off a beautiful coat, at least make it even. Somehow they gave him a double chin. Still haven't figured out how that is even possible. When the assistant saw the horror in my face, she said "I wasn't here when he was getting cut, but you know shelties usually have long hair. I would have kept it long." Ummm. Thanks. When I was choked up, and asked to talk with the owner, she said she was not available and I would need to come back, but I needed to pay and I could maybe get a credit later. Honestly, I don't want a credit. I never want to walk into that place again. Disappointment is an understatement. Hands down the worst hair cut he has ever received. Sheltie fur does not grow back the same after you cut the top coat. I now pray my little man's fur grows back to its full beauty, and these people have not ruined him forever. TL;DR Don't take your baby here if you have a specific breed. It seems they cut/shave every dog the same. Even if you discuss in detail and/or show a photo. My beautiful sheltie now looks like someone used a weed-wacker on him. You've been warned. read more

We have taken our dog here for 9 1/2 years utilizing both self wash and full groom options. I have previously recommended UDD to numerous friends but will no longer recommend. The quality of service has diminished dramatically. Early this summer I took our Golden Retriever and his ears looked like a 5 year that cut their own bangs. I reached out to the owner not asking for anything but that she may want to discuss with her groomers. She did respond that I could bring him back and they would fix. He's a dog, it will grow out, so I said no worries. His next visit is the reason for my 1 star review. Dropped off on a Friday morning, with instructions for his normal summer cut. A few hours later received the cheery call "your dog is ready" and nothing further. Upon arriving, was handed his report card and rang up - and tipped. Was then told "the groomer needs to speak to". Only then did I learn they severely cut his ear and was told he would probably need stitches - still had not seen my dog. The groomer claimed full responsibility and said my dog didn't move or jerk, but she simply just cut him. When they finally brought him he looked like the English Patient with his head entirely bandaged, which is what I was told needed to happen to stop the bleeding. So after spending $97 on bath/groom/tip, off to the vet we went. Fortunately, we have rock star vets and got him in right away. The cut was too deep for staples so they had to put my 9 1/2 yr old dog under sedation to stitch him up. With the procedure, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, I was out another $290. I did reach out to the owner, same as before and yet this time she has never communicated with me. I actually believed she cared about dogs but clearly not. I understand accidents can happen but the lack of business integrity the owner has shown is what prompted this review and assures I'll never go back. read more

Let me start by saying its a decent cut. I have a miniature poodle and while it's not the best cut I've seen, it's NO where near the worst. My only complaint about the actual grooming is they didn't pluck his ears out. My disappointment was their communication, or lack here of. I dropped him off at 9am and when I asked what time he would be finished I was told "Four to five hours. We will give you a call." So I filled out the little contact card at the front and I waited. I honestly didn't think anything of going past the four hour mark. Poodles can be fussy cuts. But past the five, I wondered. At the six hour mark, I called. He had been done and ready to go since 11am. I found this unacceptable. The girl at the front was apologetic but was also eager to throw the morning receptionist under the bus. I would think it would be standard procedure to follow up and make sure contact had been made, regardless of your shift, after a dog had been sitting a crate for an extended amount of time. I wonder if I hadn't called, just how long he would have sat there. read more

I have brought 3 of my dogs here, 2 Maltese and a standard poodle, and they always do a wonderful job grooming them. My only complaint is that they don't require pets to be vaccinated, so I wouldn't take a new, young puppy there to get groomed due to risk of catching a disease. read more

After a recommendation from a 5 year customer my two dogs received a horrible grooming experience. When asked what kind of cut I said not too short please. What I received were two dogs shaved very short. One was cut, nicked by his eye and a quarter size burn mark where his testicals were. Contacted them and were never received a call back. I have used U Dirty Dawg for years. I'm very pleased with Polly! She does a wonderful job grooming Beau. However .... today is the last time I will be there. Not because of the cut ... not because of the cleanliness ... not because they mistreat my baby .... EXCEPT that they seem to think that 4 to 6 hours is acceptable! In my opinion, that length of time is NOT acceptable! My baby (who was rescued after living in a tiny cage for ten years of his life, not ever having touched his tiny feet to the ground) ... does not DESERVE to have to be crated for 4 to 6 hours of his life at the groomer, who I PAY for great service. I have explained to them on dozens of occasions ... that I expect that if he has a 10:00 appointment .... that he will be seen close to that time ... NOT 6 hours later!!!! That is just WRONG!!! But, you know what? They don't seem to care! The young lady at the front desk explained to me that that is not the way they "operate". (meaning that they will get to him whenever they get to him) Well, that is a shame for all of their clients. But for me, that is a perfectly good reason to no longer give them my business. It is unfortunate that I will no longer be able to see Polly. She is very good. I'm quite sure that if any of these employees had a 10:00 appointment at their hair salon and they did not get around to them until 4:00 pm that they would feel just exactly like I do about U Dirty Dawg. read more

I have gone to this facility since it opened. I get my canine babies nails ground down. Very reasonable price and the grinding keeps the nails from being sharp. My first visit was today June 14, 2017 around 10 am. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly lady but when I arrived to the green door for nail trims the girl Rhiannon or whatever her name is wasn't welcoming at all. I was simply following directions given to me. Rhiannon acted as if I was an inconvenience. Her hands were wet so I'm assuming she was in the middle of a dog wash. She attempted to open the green door to take my dog but then acted like she couldn't cause her hands were wet and told me to hang on but not in a nice tone. I had high hopes for this place since it's local and right down the street from where I work but I will be going elsewhere. It's just too bad that young people these days have no customer service skills. read more

I needed to have my 11 month old 57lb dog's nails trimmed. I had done them a couple of times myself, but on the last time had nicked his quick on one of his dew claws - after that he was too jumpy and nervous about me trying to cut them. I thought the best place to take him would be my vet, as surely they are the experts at dog anatomy and know exactly where to cut and how to hold the dog still. Unfortunately, the vet tech only cut one nail, a clear one, and cut his quick; most of his toe nails are black with the exception of about three clear ones, so I was really surprised she cut his quick right off the bat on a clear nail. After that, she said they were not able to hold him still to cut any more, and suggested that he be dosed with a sedative about an hour before coming back --- What?!! I was really disappointed and concerned that now my dog would never let ANYONE cut his nails. I mentioned this incident to a couple of my friends at the dog park, and they highly recommended U Dirty Dawg. I brought my dog in a couple of days later (I wanted to give him a little time to decompress!), and he was immediately nervous. He hid behind me and wanted nothing to do with anyone there. Magically, two of the groomers interacted with him and calmed him down, and he actually let them take him back to the grooming area. I told them I would be happy if they could just get one of his dew claws cut which was getting pretty long. So imagine my surprise when Rhiannon brought him out and she had not only trimmed all his toenails (including 4 dewclaws) but also filed them smooth with a Dremel tool. Truly, I am so impressed with Rhiannon and happy that I have such a great place with caring and skilled people to take my dog. Trust me that my dog is happy too!!! read more

I booked an appointment with U Dirty Dawg a week in advance. Our 5 month old puppy was kept 6 hours and given a bathroom break that coincided with the time I received a call letting me know she was ready. Her nails were not trimmed and she was cut uneven with some places shaven against her skin, the tail being the most scalped area. I followed up with them immediately and was told our puppy was difficult for the groomer. I was told to feel free to bring her back to have her nails trimmed and haircut adjusted. The young employee I spoke to didn't apologize nor did she act like she cared. Our puppy had an upset stomach the remainder of the evening and hid in our bathroom to sleep. We prepped for the full haircut by taking her in twice for nail trims and a puppy cut prior to this appointment. I wouldn't recommend going here especially with a specific breed that requires consistent grooming. Very disappointing since it's a local business. read more

Horrible service!!! My mom has used them several times, both with them washing her dog and self wash. She was very happy with them and recommend them to me. Unfortunately there self service is only open until 5:00 but they are open until 6:00pm. I took off work early got stuck in traffic and still managed to make it by 4:55pm, the girl working told me I could not wash my dog because it was 5:00. She also confirmed it was 5:00. She proceeded to tell me rules are rules and she would get into big trouble if she let me wash my dog. If I told my customers something so ludicrous I wouldn't have any business or money to wash my dog with!! read more

Awful, just moved close to this place and tried it for the first time. They stated our Labredoodle had matts on heads and ears and if they shave them there could be alittle potential bleeding. I mistakenly told him to go ahead as this is been the case before and he's never had a problem with cutting mats out. We get them back a couple hours later looking awful and he's been in his cage whining for the last two days in pain. His ears are bleeding on the inside and out because they shaved him down to close and a plucked out all his ear hair. He's eared are now scabbed over and infected. His vet bill was twice as much as the stupid haircut that he got and he is in a tremendous amount of pain. He's had many haircuts before when he was matted and we've never run into problems like this (he loves to swim, so mats are inevitable). Would not advise anyone to take their animal to this place. We like to use local services whenever we can, but we would have been better off taking him to Petsmart. read more
