It was 6pm on July 3rd, and every repair place we called was closed. Safelight returned our message and said they could repair our windshield sometime on Monday the 10th of July. So I called my dear friend Jenny who lives near Gillette, Wyoming and asked her if she knew ANYONE who could replace our trashed windshield sooner. She replied, " I certainly do!" and she put us in touch with Vanessa at Novus Glass in Gillette. Vanessa said she could get us in on the 6th and replace our entire windshield. Timeline: Our windshield was trashed by hail at 6pm on July 3rd & entirely placed with ALL sensors working perfectly at 4pm on July 6th. We were blown away by the amazing service and quick attention we were given by Vanessa and Novus. The original quote they gave me was approximately $60 less than what the insurance company had estimated. Then during the repair process, I get notified by my insurance company that they paid an extra amount of money to Hillcrest Auto. I had to call Hillcrest to find out what was going on. They explained there was more damage than they thought. Ok, the insurance paid them. No problem, but when were they going to call and let me know? Then upon picking up my vehicle, the amount I owed to them was what the insurance company had estimated, not what they had quoted me. When I questioned the $60 difference, they couldn't explain it. I looked at my vehicle and I left. Then I went to use the hatch and it didn't function properly. So I called, it was the week of Christmas and I was told someone would call me the following week. NO ONE did. I waited and then I decided to go into their shop in person. I was told that they contacted the insurance company and were waiting on a reply. He then came out to look at what the issue was I was calling about. The hatch wouldn't stay up and it had almost hit my 3 yr old grandson. He had no concern. Then a few days later I get notified by the insurance company that they won't cover the issue, I didn't expect them to, as it was an issued that occurred from the repairman taking things apart. Yet Hillcrest denies removing the part that was in question. I have since repaired the issue myself and I have done research. Every body shop I have spoken to has stated that they don't know how Hillcrest can say they didn't remove the piece for the repair that was needed to be done. Yet because Hillcrest told the insurance company they didn't remove the part, it is their word against mine. Hillcrest won't accept responsibility and I can't prove it. So I can honestly say that if anyone I know says they are going to go to Hillcrest Auto, I will advise them not to. They have never called to tell me anything , they let the insurance company. They have no customer service skills when it comes to informing the customer.

It didn't involve buying new tires because diagnosis of the problem with under inflation was unknown - it could've been a defective tire or tire with a nail in it. Also, the readings for tire gauge with it were different from the tire, pressure management system, signaling that perhaps one or the other might be faulty. I had these folks look into it. they figured out tge solutions in about 15 minutes. Can't say enough good things about this place or the staff and management. Discount tire doesn't usually charge customers for air checks and top offs. But if they help you out as they did me I suggest you leave this guys who did the work a cash tip. Discount tire will get my next tire business.

Turns out we had a screw in the tire. While waiting, we watched the team help others. Seth and Jordan were knowledgeable, professional and kind with every customer. Their driver was weaving between lanes, tailgating, and speeding like they were in a race. It was reckless, dangerous, and completely unacceptable for someone operating a massive vehicle. I managed to get the company name from the truck, but there were no identifying numbers or contact info visible -- which makes me wonder if this kind of behavior is something they're used to hiding. If they treat other drivers this carelessly, I'd hate to imagine how they treat customers' vehicles. I wouldn't trust this company with anything, especially not my safety or my car or the van he cut off and almost caused a major accident. Do better.
