I literally looked up this location on my phone as it was the closest to me and when I arrived, I noticed how clean and friendly the staff was I rented a 20 foot U-Haul van from them and it smelled quite pleasant. You could imagine the other U-Haul's I've been to over the years. So, I rented a U-haul for the day to move some stuff. When I called to make the reservation, the girl was very helpful and efficient, booking me a truck at the location nearest to me. Good customer service experience. When I picked up the van, the gentleman who helped me was wonderful-- very courteous and helpful, showing me where the gas tank was, explaining how to return the car after hours and making sure I was set up for success (I was supposed to return my car after 6 and they closed at 5) He even showed me where I could park because I was going to leave my car there. So far, I'm loving my experience with U-haul. I'm thinking, wow- I should rent a U-haul every weekend! Then, it all starts to go wrong. I go back to return my u-haul. And admittedly, I was returning it a couple of hours after I was due to be back. That's my bad. However when I returned, the Uhauls were all parked and fully blocking my car in. I could not get my car out. I tried to call u-haul and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I'm single, I'm female, I'm in a dark parking lot--- not great. I left a note in the mail box where I was supposed to return my keys explaining the situation, and asking for someone to call me ASAP. So, this meant I had to drive all the way back to my sister's, and stay the night there vs. going home to LA (which I really needed to do because of an early morning appointment) Anyway, never received any call from anyone. So I went in at 10am the next day. Two people were behind the counter, neither particularly engaged or welcoming (unlike the people from the day before who were awesome) -- and when I explained the situation and why I was having to return the van 12 hours late-- no apologies for the inconvenience (couldn't care less) and had the audacity to tell me it was okay I returned the car late and did I want a receipt. Such an awful CS experience. At the very least there should be lines and directions of parking so people don't block others in. No one said that I had to be out of the car park at a certain time, everyone knew I was coming back after hours.... Crazy. read more

Trevor didn't fully submit my rental reservation. Therefore when trying to return the van on time after hours my contract number/information was not in the system. After hours of being on the phone their IT/customer service department couldn't find any record of my rental. Make sure they take their time on your reservation. read more

I don't know why everyone's giving 1 star. I always had nightmares renting but doing so at this uhaul place made it a breeze. Really good looking guy helped us out. Quiet but friendly. If Tyrese had hair and it's the 90s that's him and then there is Lil Jon's twin with the awesome dreads. They're quiet but friendly people. The worst and best part is that we lost our phone during the moving process and apparently fell inside the uhaul truck. We returned the truck cuz we thought the phone was somewhere in the house. Nothing. I came back and asked them if I could check the returned truck. I called the phone and it was behind the seat. They let me search during their off hour. It was already passed 5 pm. Closing time. And since they were about to close up and lock up, they pointed out to where they parked the truck. Thank you guys for this. Could've lost a galaxy note phone that costs 700$. These guys are great. It's also in an area where theirs no traffic. Getting in and out of the area was a breeze specially for us who rented a large truck with an extra trailer. This is one of the slowest moving locations. You will stand in line 15-20 minutes even if you complete all of the pre check in steps online. Most of the workers are in the back so perhaps they need to have more workers at the front desk. Avoid this U-Haul facility at all costs. Customer service is extremely poor. The employees were more concerned about their lunch and wasting my valuable time. The manager Marcus was repeatedly asked to help the employee who felt it necessary to redo my online reservation. Marcus thought it was more fun to tease her and waste my time and in the process the employee completely jacked up my rental. I was then told to go to some lot to wait for another employee to hook up my rented cargo trailer. Well he never showed up until I walked back to the office...then magically due to the security cameras he was on his way. This facility and the employees have no idea of how to create a pleasant experience for the customer, I felt like my presence and business was an inconvenience for them. The only person that was truly nice and pleasant was the young man who nearly broke his back manually lifting the trailer onto my hitch. I've used other U-Haul facilities that are run much better. This facility would make a great episode of "Under Cover Boss". Marcus, please learn how to run this U-Haul facility as a business for the benefit of the customers and not some sort of place for you and your employees to ignore customers, waste customers time and in general feel like you wish would not have walked in the door to waste your time. AVOID - no one here is knowledgable!!!! I've spoken with about 12 people from this location (and several others) every day over the last two weeks. Each time giving me the run-around. They couldn't find my reservations and literally said "we can't find your other box", didn't know how to answer a billing question (the guy on the phone - won't use his name - said that he has been at that location for about 60 days and even though his title is "customer service", he admitted he didn't know how to answer a billing question without a recommendation of anyone else to talk to), and yet again, was provided another phone number. Both boxes were supposed to ship on different days but ended up being delayed to ship together even though that was not the plan or at my request. Said individual said he didn't know when they would ship out leaving me yet again without any answers. TERRIBLE customer service. UHaul in general is a poorly run operation - avoid, avoid, avoid! read more

What a horrible experience ! I reserve a trailer. It wasn't there. I asked the sales person about the guarantee he went to go talk to his manager, and the manager said no because they had other trailers to rent. And if I wanted to rent one, I would have to pay the price difference. The manager came out from the back office did not say anything was very rude. In my opinion he just looked at me and walked outside. I rented a other trailer only because I really need it but it was filthy. It took them 45 minutes from me showing up to me leaving the manager didn't even help at the front desk. Had people waiting for excess amount of time very unnecessary. If you don't like helping customers, you should not be in a job that deals with customers and customer service. I will never rent a trailer from this location again. Maybe U-Haul should send the manager to some type of classes to better train him to learn how to deal with customers and run a business efficiently. read more

This U-Haul facility was responsible for delivering my U-box (their version of a POD). First they missed the drop off date, which I found out by calling them at 2pm the day I was suppose to receive the box. They dropped it off the next morning, which meant I had to take work off to get everything packed. Once they picked it up, I looked online to confirm my shipment dates. I noticed the final delivery date changed. I called customer service several times and filed a complaint, this U-Haul never returned my call. I ended up having to change around all my moving arraignments - the last thing you want to do when you are moving cross country. I will never use Uhaul's U-box again. Next time I will pay the extra $ for POD. read more

Reserved a truck more than a week in advance. They call me literally the night before my reservation telling me the truck isn't available and to call them before 7pm. They called me at 6:18pm. Really ridiculous. I had to cancel my moving plans. I contacted customer service about the issue and told them when I was trying to reschedule and I found out about this $50 guarantee. I really didn't care about the $50 as much as why don't they have any customer service to deal with this issue??? They think leaving a message for someone that your truck isn't available but another size truck is is supposed to be helpful? I don't know the truck size or if I can drive it. Their guarantee is extremely clear that they have to honor my preference or get ahold of me to find something mutually agreeable. They did neither. But the manager of the store and the customer service people I emailed told me that just because a truck was available that it was fine. They didn't care at all about the situation. Extremely poor customer service from Uhaul HQ AND the manager of this place. Try to rent elsewhere because they'll screw you over last minute and not give a crap. read more

I have always been a fan of Uhaul and the services provided. Unfortunately they now have a telephone system that when you call you are talking to a call center that is in Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, and Connecticut. It is very difficult to contact the individual store. They took over for Door-to-Door Storage and my storage pods are now with them. I have had 3 pods since 2011, last year Uhaul took over and now they have "misplaced" one of my pods filled with family keepsakes, photos and antiques. I contacted them last week to set up appointment to access my pods, the girl says I have 2 pods, I reply, no I have 3. I called again on Thursday to confirm appointment. I left message, I called on Friday again to confirm, the 888# customer service call center has no clue, they can not connect you to the individual location you need to talk to. I arrive at my appointment on Monday, Feb 5th, my pods are not ready and they do not have all 3 of my pods. The pods are marked with blue tape #1of 3 & #3 of 3. I send them via email all my confirmations of the original paperwork with all my pods I have had to the manager of the store who I met. He calls "the man" who has the Door-to-Door information as this information was not included with the rights when Uhaul took over. I get what I needed to out of the 2 pods and Marcus Bell the manager says he will call me. It's been 2 days and I have not heard a word. I called the so called direct number that Breanna who works in the office and is extremely helpful but it still went to the call center. I'm frustrated I want my personal property. I have never had this issue with Door-to-Door. I hope they find my "missing pod" read more

I was a Door to Door customer, which is now U-Haul. I attempted to pay my rental 3 times, once on-line and twice by phone and it wasn't until the 3rd time did I find out they do not accept the credit card I had on file with Door to Door (my card was a debit card and they do not accept them even tho Door to Door did). I received multiple e-mails and letters about late payments and threatening me with a $50 lien just because I was a few days late due to the credit card problem. The manager was not any help and did not even say that he would look into the matter, he just sat on the phone and did not say much. The girls I talked to on the phone were helpful and nice, which is the only good experience I had with them. read more
