The manager ( Laurie h.) Over charged us for the quoted rental, then never returned our deposit, stating that she never charged us a deposit. At the time of rental we are charged 2365 for the rental and $100 deposit because we are paying cash . A total of $330.65 was paid in cash. As my mother told her of her mistake she became very unprofessional raising her voice and litterallybecame angry. What hey mistake it was choosing this location . Whereas we rented the same 10 ft van with the same mileage from Vacaville to Petaluma from other location on Monte Vista for a third of the cost and never has had an issue in several years for choosing this location that we went to yesterday we ended up paying literally out of our pockets for that managers habits or whatever she needed the money for . I would not recommend this location to anybody not even somebody I considering an enemy what a horrible experience I will be given the regional manager and district manager a call today . The deposit was never even recorded on receipt. My mother stated to Lori h that it's her fault speaking of my mother because we didn't check the receipt all the manager could do was smile and say yep it is . The manager Laurie is very friendly and makes sure the place is clean. Easy access from 505 and 80. Most units are indoors and climate controlled which is hard to find in this area. It's easy to pay rent online with a U-Haul account, but someone always picks up the phone promptly if you prefer that. The access hours are very convenient, I never had a problem getting in. If I ever need a storage unit again U-Haul would be my first choice. read more

Everything was going good. It's really clean nice looking place. I felt like the people were pretty friendly when I got my unit really easy. They had plenty of carts to use in each section when I first showed up and started storing my stuff there however, this last time I went, there was a guy blocking the main doors with his U-Haul and trailer in tow. He had three car loaded up with totes and was sitting there, counting change or something While other people were trying to do their stuff and he just sat there quietly and listen to his radio I went in and told the lady that I had no car to unload my stuff. She didn't seem like she wanted to get up off her butt and go get the car but she did But by that time I had it unloaded I just hauled it all in there myself and when she came and delivered my car truck thing, I told her I don't need it now and I said that she said something and I said well she said the first come first serve and I said well he shouldn't be sitting there with three carts full, so I'm not real happy at the moment I can't lie read more

Yelp should factor in more recent reviews towards the average rating because this place deserves more stars. Set up was done online. No miscommunication via phone, text, or email. Moves are always stressful but this place was smooth sailing in and out the truck wasn't beat up or had breaks sounding and feeling like they were going to give up on you. Power steering was working too!! You'd think someone wouldn't have to mention that but I recently drove a 26' truck and had to drive down a steep grade road and I thought I was going to be a goner and my sisters would be mad at my funeral for damaging all there stuff in a fiery crash. Anyways, that was different trip and the 15' truck we used from here was more like a dream and not a nightmare. I believe the check out clerk's name was Lori? The manager helped us every time we were here. She was fantastic and very helpful. The storage areas were the average storage garages. Multiple sizes to choose from. This place is indoor, temperature controlled, secure with cameras, and gated. I also found the place to be very clean. They seem to be full often and glad we planned accordingly. Would definitely use again for any storage needs and we highly recommend them. read more

Came her to buy a 4way pin tester before I went to pick up my trailer. I immediately went out to my truck to test and was confused as to why it wasn't working. The lady at the desk could see me through the glass and came out to remind me that the lights only work when the vehicle is on. We all have our moments but this person was very nice and even stayed out to test it while I flipped my blinkers! read more

Over too many years and too many poor experiences we have given up renting from this facility. Absent managers, inexperienced and uncaring staff. Changes made to our reservations without our consent or even a courtesy notice. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Staff is rude and and had a tantrum when I would not sign the contract without seeing it. Price is NOT as advertised. Management refuses to correct issue with unit. From day one - the door on the unit is damaged and they refuse to fix it and expect me to pay to have my belongings moved to a different unit. I am VERY disappointed. Shaun Saves the day! Without going into the details, what could have been a 1 star review, is getting 5 instead. All because of an employee, Shaun D. A scheduling error (made by a different employee) caused me to not get my rental on time. This delay caused further setbacks as my day progressed. Seeing how frusterated I was when I returned, Shaun took it upon himself to help make things right. He took ownership of the mistake (even though it was not his fault) and worked with me to make sure things were ok when I left. Thanks again for your great customer service! Worst customer service ever. There system was not working, but for some reason was taking that out on us. It took over 20 minutes for a simple credit card transaction. Not once did Jerome apologize for the delay or inconvenience. He also added $14 for insurance protection even though we said we didn't want it, then still wouldn't take it off of our charge. He was a total jerk to me and my boyfriend and we will absolutely never come here again. read more
