Purchased a PJ dump trailer from the original owners, and over time, the factory sticker with the vin # was destroyed by the sun and age. Called yesterday to find out what I could do to get a new vin tag. Explained the situation, and the answer was "I don't know your vin # !" (Like he was angry that I asked). Told him I figured that, but thought he'd have an idea on what I could do. Said he couldn't help me. So I went online directly to PJ Trailers, left a message with the vin# from the registration tags, and 1st thing this morning, I got an Email from PJ that a new vin tag was being Fed Ex'd today. On 6/29/21 I took my hitch assembly from my boat trailer in because the master cylinder had rusted and the surge brakes were no longer working. The staff there was very friendly and helpful and told me they could have a replacement the next day but it may take up to two weeks for the work to be completed due to high demand this time of year. Three days later I got a phone call telling me that the unit was completely repaired, assembled and ready to pick up I am very happy with the service I received at this dealership even though it cost a little more than I expected but you do get what you pay for. Beware!!! Worst place to bring a trailer to get worked on. We brought our horse trailer in last Friday to get brakes and shackles done, told the sales person this needs to be done by a certain time, sales person told us it would completed by Wednesday. Great that will work. My niece is headed out of town for state competition, completing it by Wednesday was perfect. Uncle called yesterday to check when he can pick up the trailer and they told him Friday. We happened to call this afternoon to confirm pick up for tomorrow and now they are telling us next Tuesday or Wednesday. They had the trailer for a week now and didn't touch it. At this rate my niece will not be able to go to her competition or will need to figure out a way to get her horse there. These people are extremely unprofessional. No phone call at all to us to let us know they were behind schedule. Where is the customer service?!! read more

I took my 20 year old motorcycle trailer here to have them do the wheel bearings. They also installed new lights and fixed a cosmetic issue. They did it fast and the price was very reasonable. Bring your trailers here for service. Bearings should be done every 12k miles. read more

I spent several thousand dollars with this outfit. Apparently they sold me an axel with the brakes installed incorrectly. So less than 5000 miles later I have no brakes. I bring it back to find out the problem and then they charge me $600 to fix what they admitted to be their mistake Originally and if I want my trailer , I have to pay and take it up with the manager. I call the manager and he basically blows me off and tells me that nothing he does will make me happy and that I'm probably never coming back anyhow. This after mentioning to him I was in the market for another HD dump trailer He could care less. I never had any issues with the previous owners. Oh well. They did crappy, shoddy overpriced work on my husbands trailer. Charged a bunch and didn't even fix everything they were supposed to.

They had been helping me set up a hitch system for my new truck to pull my somewhat unusual small travel trailer. My last truck was an older half ton and was MUCH lower Than my new F250, so some thinking and parts sourcing was called for. Once all the hitch parts were in they assembled the pieces and balls. Yes 2, one large for the coupler and one small for a sway controller. When I got home and hooked it up to my trailer the height was perfect, but the distance from the truck to the trailer was too long for my existing 7 pin electric connector cable. I could make left hand turns but right hand turns disconnected the cable. I figured out how to get to them with left hand turns, lucky! Stupid me I should have called first. They were booked with customers and couldn't do it that day. I asked if they had a cable I could jury rig to the existing cable to get me home with lights. John said they REALLY didn't like to do things that way. After some discussion ( he determined I had the background to be able to do it myself) he offered to lend me all the tools I needed and provided the cable, wire connectors and connector box, and I was able to install a permanent solution. He went on to explain that he was sorry and that he was willing to drive to Sacramento to pick up the tire and then to my office to deliver it only hours later. I was blown away! I give Vacaville Trailers a 1 star review on the fact that the owner Brian talked a good game when it was time to sale me a trailer. But when it came time to deliver not only was he 3 weeks late he completely messed up the build on a dump trailer I've been waiting for all summer! On July 22 I came in the shop looking to purchase a 16 foot low pro dump trailer with 4 foot sides and 2 foot extensions. The one he had on the lot (only had 3 foot high sides) didn't meet my criteria and Brian said not to worry. Let me know what options you would like on the trailer and I'll have it here by the end of August custom built. I told him that's fine left him a $3000 cash deposit and call me when the trailers in. Well September 7 rolls around and I haven't heard from Brian. I give him an email and let him know that my business is dependent on me having a large trailer as I have booked jobs well in advance expecting the trailer to arrive by end of the August. He gives me a runaround on his shipper is running late, Dexter axles are on back order. Basically ducking and dodging me for another week. I give him another nice email on the build and he said well his shipment of PJ Trailers prior to mine came in mid last week and mine is on a truck and should be in on Saturday. He was hyping me up on the fact that his employees are gonna work overtime this weekend to put together my trailer first and it should be ready by Monday morning. Well Monday morning rolls along, I call them and tell them i'm on the way. I drive straight to Vacaville from Oakley. As i'm about to exit off the freeway Brians wifes calls me, she calling on behalf of Brian and my trailer should be ready in one hour. I waste no time by going to the shop and am greeted by a irritate and rude Brian the "owner and salesman" with "wow your real pushy, you know that", I told him "times money, I keep it moving" and your 3 weeks late on this trailer. I walk to the back where all the trailers are and see his crew putting together a 16 foot trailer. I asked one of the guys putting it together is there another 16 footer somewhere else? He said no this is it. Brian comes out sweating up a storm at 9:30am mind you, and I ask him wheres my trailer?? Mine that I ordered was powder coat grey in color and with 4 foot solid sides! This thing is black, with 3 foot sides. He says rudely well they messed up the order and didn't take no responsibility for it. He was clueless on the fact that my trailer was suppose to be grey with 4 foot high sides. He offers no remorse or sympathy and basically told my partner and I "he didn't wanna hear it this morning". Must of had a case of the Mondays or something LOL! I've been in the landscape and hauling business for the past 15 years. I've dealt with local trailer shops in Concord and Martinez and they always deliver good service and products. I ended up doing business with this guy Brian because he was the only one in a 50 mile radius that sells PJ Trailers. I could have drove to San Jose to FJM Trailers and spent $300 less on the same custom trailer. I support small businesses like his, but if your not going to deliver on your end of the deal then I gotta take my business elsewhere. He had his wife cut me a check for my deposit money and didn't even wanna look at me. I'll take my business to B&D Trailers in Martinez a company he bashed so badly when he was being a salesman on a product he couldn't deliver on time or as I custom ordered. Now he's sitting with a 16 foot dump trailer, that I believe is the exact same trailer was on the lot when I first came to the shop on July 22! Next time Brian dont blame your manufacture, your staff, your shipper, take the L and man up to it. If you were cool with my partner and I today I would have waited a few more days/weeks til the right trailer was made. But you were bitter and looked beaten like an old sweaty man. I didn't tighten my lugs on my boat trailer, and stripped all the lugs. No surprise with my luck, my lugs were "those lugs" meaning impossible to find. Not for Bryan and Vacaville Trailer Sales. I've been in sales for nearly 20 years, and customer service is where I set my standard. Pricing plays a factor, with knowledge and experience being close to customer service. But for me, it's all about the experience. Vacaville Trailer Sales has them all. Bryan and crew are not only amazing at what they do, but they are genuine and polite. The young guys in the shop were hard working, showed me everything they did, and even asked "is there anything else I can help you with." I called Vacaville Trailer Sales for a trailer repair in early June. Got an appointment for two weeks later on a Friday. I was informed that if I wanted my trailer returned the same day I needed to bring it in by 9 am. Ok - 9:05 am - 5 min late, my bad. The new owners of one week, informed me that since they were new they would go through a checklist and call me if anything on my trailer needed repair. Cool! Monday- 10 am- called Vacaville Trailer for a status update. Hadn't got to my trailer yet. So I asked for a price estimate. $105 for the "safety check" that I had authorized. What? What! Makes no sense? I had new tires put in this trailer less than a week ago- what safety check for $105? It's a freaking trailer!!! I need the tires to roll and the lights to work! I felt lied to! Mislead and pricing NOT disclosed! You were going to sneak in an additional $105 charge? I called at 3:19pm Monday- 4 days after bringing my trailer in- by any chance ya get to my trailer? Nope! I inadvertently bent the front axle on my boat trailer. My college kids were heading back to school soon. They really wanted to get back up to the lake before they left. I was pressed for time as I don't get into town from work until 5:30-6:00. I called and they told me to come by after work and they'd stay a bit late and wait for me. They did and had me back in business in no time with a special order axle. They also replaced the master cylinder in the brake system. All this and the pricing was excellent.
