Ribs, massive!
Collin S.

A local gem. If you are looking for a true Czech pub experience with great beer and food then this is the place to be. Good menu and huge portions. I got the ribs and finished half of it... and I can eat a lot. Went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Don't want to miss this place!

Goulash with dumplings
Dhana M.

First time in Prague and I have to say this place set a high standard for food. I had their goulash and dumplings and it was sooo goood !!! I was stuffed for 5 hours straight. The prices are also reasonable for the amount of food you get. The customer service is awesome as well! I highly recommend !!

Service was great, beer was good, food was just okay. We had the fried cheese and two pork dishes. Still recommend the spot if you want a beer!

Awesome job with the steak, ham, egg dish (with side of fries). Didn't have to use any condiments! Great meal for a great price!!

This is definitely my favorite czech restaurant in Plague. I actually was worried of the service because I saw some reviews here that the servers were rude, or overcharged, and etc. So, I studied some czech sentences and was ready to endure the expected terrible service. However, the server old man was really kind and the menu he recommended was awesome awesome! We ordered ribs and goulash(?), and the portion was amazingly big, and the taste was wonderful:) : . .

Chicken tereza
Emily S.

Pretty nice place close to the college campus. We were able to order and eat and pay the bill within an hour. I ordered the chicken tereza and the chicken was well seasoned but the fries were not. It balances out nicely though because you can eat the fries with the chicken. Prices are decent for the portion size (140 crowns). They even have this cool toilet seat in the bathroom that looks like a lime. The waiters can be kind of weird since it seems like once you get their attention they just walk away but I think it was because they are trying to find someone who speaks English.

Czech speciality first dish

Great waiters and overall atmosphere. backyard with a lot of tables, as well as wifi inside. I ordered the Czech beer. But real highlight was their pork ribs. Never had anything like it. English menu, but also many locals having good time.

We enjoyed our meal here tonight - my salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband's Goulash was delicious!

If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.

We are early diners and the only couple near us were also Americans on holiday. Our server spoke excellent English and guided us through the menu choices. After an appetizer of tomatoes and cucumbers in a light dressing, I ordered the sirloin in cream and my wife the trout filet. The food, like the service, was superb. Our server surprised us with a complimentary "shot" of a very strong Czeck liqueur at the end of the meal. we had a grand time and hope you will too!!

It was a pleasant walk from the Hilton Atrium Hotel, and the weather was beautiful. We arrived and were immediately seated and brought menus. The decor is nothing special, and it spoke to a nice Czech restaurant vibe. Our server was very good, promptly returning to get our drink order (I had a glass of Chardonnay and we both had waters). We were not super hungry, so we bypassed the appetizer and salad selections and went straight for the entree menu. My wife chose the Goulash and I selected the Grilled Chicken Breast. Our meals arrived shortly, and they were both hot. My wife loved the Goulash, which was accompanied by two large potato dumpling pieces. The gravy was thick and flavorful and the meat was fork-tender and delicious. My Chicken was a bit tough, but had pretty good flavor with the sauce. It was also served with a side of Gnocchi, that paired nicely with the dish. The advertised cauliflower and peas were a bit sparse, but the Gnocchi made up for it. Service was very good, with our water glasses refilled frequently and servers asking if everything was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, though the Chicken could have been a bit more tender. If we get back to Prague, we would definitely like to come back and try one of the Duck dishes as well as the goose liver pate' appetizer. Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 9/10 Value - 10/10

I was about to order a glass of wine when I saw the Pilsner Urquell in the three styles. Although the menu did not have the official name, I opted for The Cut (aka Šnyt), which is more foam than beer. For dinner, I went with the Veal & Cheese Rissole. The breading provided plenty of flavor to the veal & pork combo. The mashed potato had a very creamy texture. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad was the least favorite of the three. The shredded cucumber was akin to sauerkraut being drowned in water. I regretfully passed on the dessert. From my vantage point, I could not see anyone ordering dessert. Even more regrettable, before I left, I discovered the restroom was not well cleaned.

Having had just arrived in Prague earlier that day and having cycled 100+ kilometers, I was quite famished when I arrived. I hadn't made a reservation but being a singleton at an early evening hour, the staff found me a table quickly. I started by ordering an alcohol-free beer and then I perused the menu. Marek, the waiter, soon came to my aide and helped me pick out a hearty portion: dumplings, of course! For dessert, I also had another set of dumplings and I loved both dishes.
