Excellent weather to go to a winery. There are hundreds of vineyards around Oregon, and I try to take the time to check some of them out when possible. This year however we've made it more of a priority. This one is right close to our home (about 15 minutes away). One of my all time favorite wines is the Toasted Cow White Blend from Oak Knoll. Sweet but not too sweet and light and refreshing, perfect for a Summer's day. Highly recommend.

Oak Knoll is very much a budget friendly wine tasting option in the Hillsboro area. They're located in an old barn which is kind of cute on the outside but it lacks any real ambiance on the inside. They put up decorations for valentine's day but with the curtains and dividers sitting about it didn't feel very cozy. Their flights are $15 and they come in flight glasses. There's wine glasses on your table that you can pour them into and also water. I didn't get a brief description of any of the wines like I have at other places and there was no charcuterie board. I was not a fan of any of the wines I tried. They all seemed to have a strong alcohol aftertaste. The two employees who were there, Dakota and Alston, were really nice and friendly. They checked on me often and always made sure I had plenty of water. If you check in on Yelp you get a BOGO coupon. They said they had never seen it before but they did honor it. They also gave me their card and on the back of that is also a BOGO coupon.

Great winery! They have outdoor seating during the warm summer months and indoor seating during winter. Wine tasting is affordable at $15 per flight of 6. The staff are also so friendly and helpful. Such great vibes and wines here.

$15 tastings and waived with a $40 purchase or wine club membership. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have live music events during the summer. The outdoor space is beautiful. Super worth it!

Oak Knoll Winery is an unpretentious winery with wine options for all palates. Their wines range from dry reds/whites to super sweet, making this a great option for wine enthusiasts of all kinds. There are a few snack options to choose from, but I would recommend packing snacks/charcuterie. My favorite wine was the white Pinot noir, it was very refreshing, and light, but with a deeper flavor that you would get with a red wine. The tasting was affordable and generous, and the wines by the bottle are also fairly priced. Dakota provided table service and was a very welcoming and attentive host! I think there is room for improvement regarding the indoor seating aesthetic and outdoor seating options. The inside is very "bare bones" but I particularly enjoy sitting outside at wineries anyway! The outdoor seating area offers picnic tables, but I think the addition of traditional chair/table seating would be nice, and perhaps some Adirondacks.

Stopped in for the first time this weekend while out for wine tastings. We had our pup with us, and Oak Knoll is very welcoming...as long as you don't allow them on the tasting counter and they are well-behaved! The girls on staff were very casual and friendly. The place is very low key, small informal tasting room along with a large indoor warehouse type space with some tables. They told us that they offer up life music and bingo in the space on occasion, although I'm not sure of when that occurs. The wines were pretty good, and they got pretty busy while we were there. Overall it was a fun and relaxing experience....and with $5 tastings for 6 wines who could complain?! We recommend and will be back.

One of the first wineries in Oregon, they make great wines. It's such a nice place and the drive to them is very scenic.

This is one vineyard that's a short drive, and not very difficult to get to for being located in Cornelius. No long and windy roads is what I'm implying. An easy vineyard you can show out-of-town guest what Oregon wines are all about. I feel this would be a quick treat for them. Even after work, just to relax with a glass and charcuterie board, we've been here! ~ The Views (or a view) ~ If you've seen the yelp pics on the views, then that's exactly all you'll get. You can chill inside for a tasting or out on the patio while enjoying an excellent view of the vineyard. On a clear sunny day, you can see Mt Hood in the background. Down below the patio, at vineyard-level, there are a few wooden beach chairs and picnic tables as well. It's relaxing wherever you choose really, to say the least. ~ Reds, Whites, and You ~ If you're looking for a white chard that's not too sweet, then this is your place! Their wines are simple enough to enjoy. I don't recall having a bad pour. But like practically every vineyard in Oregon, they too serve pinot noirs. I personally have more of an earthy pallet, so I do not have a taste for pinot gris or rieslings, but theirs I did admire. You'll have to try them for yourself. Again, I believe all their variations can satisfy anyone's pallet. ~ Owners, Staff, and Service ~ At one of the member events, we did get the opportunity to meet the owners, and their pup. All of them really down-to-earth people in my opinion. But I would like to give credit to Mach and Melissa as well. These two hustle! Not for you to just purchase their wines and join the club, but they're attentive on what you'd be interested in. Thank your Mach and Melissa for your generous and friendly hospitality. We've had questions, they've had answers. This little winery just gives you everything you'd expect from a winery. Case and point!

(I am officially an adult!) They make great chardonnay and pinot and rosé and usually feature a guest winemaker. I'm always pleasantly surprised by things I normally don't prefer eg Riesling or merlot. It's all good! Tastings are casual and unpretentious affairs, dog- and kid-friendly! There's seating inside the house, tables outside for nice weather, and you can bring snacks and picnic. The price of the tasting is waived if you buy wine; their bottles run in the $20-30 range (with a discount for club members). Highly recommend a visit! We made a reservation in advance and were really looking forward to visiting this winery,…read moreespecially since we had brought my parents from far away for what we hoped would be a memorable experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. While some members of our group were doing the wine tasting, the rest of us were not allowed to order wine and had to wait until the tasting was finished. It didn't make sense that we couldn't simply enjoy a glass of wine while waiting. It was quite cold outside, so we asked if we could move indoors. We were told that the indoor tables were reserved, and instead we were offered blankets. Although we appreciated the gesture, it wasn't a comfortable solution given the weather. We had booked the 2:00 p.m. reservation (the online booking only offered 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. time slots), but by 3:00 p.m. our tasting had to be wrapped up. If reservations are limited to one hour, that should be made much clearer during the booking process. To make matters worse, the wine we were most looking forward to tasting was never served. It was only after we asked about it that we were told it had sold out. This is something that should have been communicated before the tasting began, not after we noticed it was missing. We came a long way hoping to share a special winery experience with my parents, but poor communication and the way the experience was managed made the visit far less enjoyable than we had expected. I hope the winery improves its communication and reservation process so future guests have a better experience.

This property is off the beaten path, but well signed and you have to know in advance that this location is at the end of Dick Road (so keep going). I had looked it up on the map and noticed that fact so I knew that at the end of the road there would be the vineyard. We pulled up to a house but it had various golf carts and other implements around so it appeared that no one resided there. The sign on the front door said join us outside on the patio just down the stairs. So, we followed down the stairs (I'm not sure what you do if you cannot do stairs--it looks like you maybe able to pull around on another side but I'm not clear on that) I would probably call first if I had any kind of mobility issues. We walked a little ways and saw a lighted room and so we went inside. Turns out this is the bathroom and not where they were wine tasting. We kept walking through the patio and there was no one in site. Finally, we spotted a large tent that was put up and the tasting area was set up there. We walked in and were casually greeted by a young girl who proceeded to tell us what they were out of and wanted to know if we wanted to taste a wine. I said that we had a coupon for the lunch basket and she wanted the info off of that and she would go and make it up. She then took off to go do that leaving us huddled on some damp chairs under the tent with another couple. It was about 48 degrees under the tent and they had heaters for the outdoors but they weren't lit. The YS and I were beginning to think we should get the food to go and forget the wine. Then the owner Melinda came out and asked if we wanted to taste a wine and proceeded to tell us a bit about them and we decided to split a tasting. She told us about how their vineyard as well as their farm acreage (they have about 70 acres). While we were talking the girl brought out the food and set it down not saying anything to anyone. I later asked Melinda if that was for us and she said yes. Melinda also quickly lit the heaters when she got out there she said that her helper (the girl from earlier) didn't know how to do it. I think the girl needs some training as she's doing a great business a real disservice. We ended up eating our lunch which was very tasty and bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with our lunch as well as two bottles to take home. I will say that our first impression was not a great one based on the girl and her demeanor we were going to eat and leave. Melinda is very friendly and customer service oriented. I will definitely be back again. If we didn't have two wine club memberships already we would have joined theirs as they have fun events with the wine pick ups as well as other events open to the general public. Beautiful setting, I would highly recommend.
