You have to request a sanitized pen from their side of the screen to sign a check. The banker let us know that we may be carrying germs that he did not want to be exposed to. There was virtually zero communicatiin during the time we sat at this guy's desk for 40 minutes and he did we know not what. We did follow up with the manager - he basically let us know that this is standard practice for them. We will move our accounts away from this failure of a bank branch as soon as we practically can.

So the date change didn't take because the payment wasn't made. Today they said the payment didn't go through because the account didn't exist. when I setup the ach the loan officer filled out the paperwork. So all in all this has been the biggest headache I have ever had dealing with a bank. I will be refinancing very soon

I just heard an almost unbelievable story involving a friend of mine and U.S. Bank. After the loss…read moreof his stepfather, he was simply trying to stop billing on a safety deposit box--an issue involving only $84 a year. There was nothing of value in the box, and his only goal was to wrap things up during an already difficult time. He had a valid power of attorney and was told it would be sufficient, only to later be told the branch did not have it on file. By the time he located the document and brought it back in, they claimed it had expired and still refused to shut off the safety deposit box. It's deeply disappointing that a small branch like Manzanita would put someone who is grieving and trying to responsibly handle final details through this kind of unnecessary stress--especially over such a minor amount. A little compassion, consistency, and common sense would have gone a long way here.

" Deja vu" this happened once before years ago; but I was able to go inside and retrieve my card. This time it was flat out refused. The explanation ranged from " We don't service this machine ourselves" To : We have already serviced it and destroyed your card ! It's been cut into pieces ! So, I asked for the pieces back ! Oh No ! We can't do that ! " they are locked up ! " But we do return the cards inadvertently retained by US Bank customers !!!! Where do these worker "bees" s in this bank get off treating customers like that ! ? US bank charges a fee every time I use this ATM. Well No more never ever again. So ! tourists and other visitors to Manzanita beware ! Make sure you carry x-tra cash and replacement/different card or your vacation could be cut short. It is a disgrace uf unheard of dimensions Incidentally used an internationally recognized card which I have used for more than 13 years in Manzanita, Tillamook; Seaside and Astoria without incident.; As well as in 7 Western STATES.
