I went to this US Bank with my parents and the teller who was working there was not only super DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE to my Parents. She is very RACIST and has a disgusting personality. My parents asked to open a business check book and she was not only looking down on my parents stating- "you don't even know how to use your mobile phone, order it yourself." She said you want an ebook? Even though we stated we wanted a check book. She was so rude and was saying oh you don't even know how to order it yourself? When, my parents called and they were told to come to the bank and get the first one approved by them. She then proceeded to say you want an ebook? That's all I can do for you, I can't do this for you. You should be the one to do it yourself. My parents asked, can we see your screen cause she kept saying this or that but she was rude and disrespectful and stating no you're not allowed and that I am not authorized to show you my screen and was taunting my parents. Like, do you think it's our first rodeo going to the bank, we know you can show us too. Since the other US bank we went literally showed us the screen so why are you bs-ing us? The bank teller was rude from the start. She could've just asked her Manager to give her access or to tell my parents to go to the other bank staff members who are in charge of opening checkbook, but she decided that she's gonna hassle my parents be rude and be disrespectful yelling being so mad For no reason why because you don't wanna work there why because you don't want to talk to the manager that's not our fault. This is absolutely unacceptable and very racist. I do not approve of this bank. Do not go because you will be ridiculous and be disrespected. ZERO STARS** The worst bank ever! I cannot begin to describe how upsetting my situation is. I have 2 established accounts with them, one being a HELOC. I have been depositing checks from my employer via electronic deposit on my phone and have patiently waited up to 5 days to receive my funds, inconvenience yes but no problem. Now, I deposit two check on the 30th of July at ATM from my employer and only one goes through. The other got mailed back because my name is abbreviated as ALL the checks I have previously deposited into the same account read. So out of the two checks written out the exact same way you cash one and return the larger check to my address? I was told by Desirae (customer service) I'd get a check copy at the branch and be able to cash it, that was a lie. I go in to the branch and Jaqueline tells me I have to wait on the check to be returned 7-10 business days. Both conflicting pieces of information and a complete disservice to any customer. Honestly, this is bizarre and I now understand why some people act crazy. How are you gonna not give me my check or my money. Evidently, they think they can withhold your hard earned funds and they did today. I was an established account holder with your bank, not some random person off the streets! I have been at a US bank before and never have I ever been treated prejudice by a bank teller. I bank with another credit union just due to customer service. The teller Jacqueline Garcia, whose title is a Client Relationship Comsultant, had assisted me to cashing a check. She proceeded to say there's a cashing fee of $7 which wow keeps going up with banks. Anyways, I had noted my account is a trust account which is through my approval with my lawyer. I questioned how can that be?! After that, I said fine cash it. By this time, she proceeded to make a phone call, to whom at the time had no idea. Once I heard the name, I was like, "Are you serious?!" Which is what I said. Then talked to the person who issued the check and verified if the check was written. Mind you, I had presented an ID with the check. The person she contacted, I texted and she found it odd as well. That it has never happen. So, now I am annoyed. I am guessing since I am not an account holder to make it another couple of extra steps to make it prolonged my experience with her. I told her she was ridiculous. She responded back with its a procedure. I told her, I do hope she does this every time and not just decided to do it just with me. Hate to say it but what an adam Henry move. Seeing the other reviews no wonder it's rated low. The US corporate office needs to revamp. Maybe more training, or just better employees who are not from Jacqueline generation. Hoped for her on her own experience to be treated as she treats people. New year's resolution a better customer service attitude! If you are not on "Food Stamps", stay away from US Bank like the plague. The Whittier facility is pleasant, & the personnel are polite & professional. However, if your financial activity involves more than $1,000, this is not your bank. We needed to transfer $475,000, but were restricted to only $1,000/day. I started to deposit our funds by check, but then realized, that if it is this hard to get $$$ in the bank, it may be equally difficult to get $$$ out. Sure enough, their website indicates we can remove only $1,000/day. If I were to put $475,000 in the bank, it would take me 475 days to get my $$$ out of the bank. Capital One & Ally Bank are a joy to work with if you have more than $1,000. Good Luck if you ignore my warning. read more

Very, very dissatisfied. When my 88 yr. old father, wanted to take out his money out to put into another bank, because his money market acct. wasn't making enough interest. However, when he wanted to pull it out his money he was told it was too early to pull out and he'd have to wait 2 weeks. This bank changed the name on my mom's account before she passed away. It cost $5000.00 to go to probate court to fix it after she passed away. Of course we won the case. Lawyers fees paid by us. I wouldn't say that this branch cares about courtesy and customer service. I've been banking with US Bank for several years now, my previous branch was in Arcadia. I have to say these two branches are polar opposites. They are never prepared to greet customers much less provide service at the last hour before closing. Really, I'm just asking for someone to say hello or extend the courtesy to let me know that they see me when I walk in. A few months ago, there were a couple of staff who were helpful like Jose, I wonder what happened. I hoe the manager reads this post. I am very disappointed in this Branch and hope management can make a wise decision and remove such an ignorant person like this from their Brand. Like all the other reviews, horrible customer service. They were misleading and completely wasted a month of my time. Before applying for a HELOC loan, I told them I am a small business and to get approved for loans before, I have had to provide bank statements and so forth. They assured me they work with many businesses and the review process is very thorough, and I should have no issue with approval. I never was asked to provide addition documentation to support my income. They denied my application. Now the rates are way higher than when I started the application so it is not even worth going elsewhere. Every branch and the company as a whole is incompetent. Do not waste your time. CURRENTLY ON THE PHONE WITH THE BANK BECAUSE A BRANCH REP GAVE ME FALSE INFORMATION AND NOW CAUSES ME 2 $35 FEES. I went to this branch on a Saturday afternoon. I didnt get her name, she was in the teller booth that gets to sit down on left side with her iPhone on hand. I asked if I can link my two accounts in case of an overdraft where to happen it can pull the money out of the other account. I know CHASE does. She said no we dont have that with US Bank only if you sign up for the credit card. So here I am calling US Bank and shows after all my Customer Service Rep said it could have been done without signing up for the card. She also said she check my text alerts and it was set up. My customer service rep says it wasn't. If my alerts worked I would have known i was over drafted & if she linked my accounts I would have 0 fees since I always have money on at least one account . Be aware of their malicious fine-print and evil banking practices! After having an account with them for 5 1/2 years, they decide to close my account and send me a cashiers check for my remaining balance. All, supposedly because I have an out-of-state address and they do not have a branch in that state... probably just a wimpy excuse! Well, I never received the check, or any correspondence for that matter. I only found out when my checks started bouncing! I visit the branch and guess what, they cannot put a stop payment on that check and give me my money! It's the day before my daughter's birthday, I need to buy groceries and gas and I'd like to buy gifts and they say I have to wait 90 days for them to issue a replacement check... This bank is the absolute worst and I am cancelling my account as soon as this problem is resolved. I went to the ATM today, I took out $600 from an account with a different bank. I've been deposited that $600 into my US bank account. It's spit back at me $100, then it spit back at me half Of a $20 bill. Then it cancels my entire transaction give me back my card no receipt. So I checked my online banking and no deposit it was made. So I go around to the main office and I have them check for The half $20 bill and to make sure that my money will be deposited. They find no half of a $20 bill nor do they see my deposit of a pending transaction or any transaction made. So they basically shrugged their shoulders at me and gave me a phone number to file a claim! This is completely unacceptable. I do not have the 45 days to wait to get my remaining $500 back! I do not have $500 laying around, now I will be late on everything I was supposed to pay this week. I am literally nobody gave a flying fuck about my $500. I'm so pissed I can barely contain my tears!!!!!! Also, worst customer service. The branch manager is a complete bitch and so are the tellers. Not helpful. Not empathetic. This branch is worse than the DMV. Customer service does not exist. Hubby and I went to open a new account. They did not have any information or a sign in sheet. We had to wait in the teller line for assistance only to be told we needed to wait for a rep. There was only one two on a Saturday. We finally were able to speak to her only to be told that the offer we were interest in was only for certain branches. I also mentioned that attempted to call before arriving but they didn't answer. If you're planning to do a wire transfer that's important avoid this bank at all costs. Go to another branch. I needed a small amount wired and they could not handle it. Asking my Questions about where my cash was coming from..my cash is in the account and it's mine, doesn't matter where it came from..S Africa for all they care. Then the "back office" had to verify the receivers account number because they failed to do so when I was there causing a huge delay to my funds being transferred. If I could give this bank zero stars, I would. Their ATM had an error, which caused it to take 5 checks I was depositing. After dozens of phone calls to all levels of management, now over 24 days later, only one of my five checks have been given to me. The manager of the Whittier branch, Jose, is extrodinarily unhelpful. He refused to give us pictures of our stolen checks, even though the ATM company has provided those pictures to him and even though on previous phone calls he agreed to get those to us. He refuses to return our phone calls, causing us to spend hours on the phone trying to reach him or anyone else willing to help us. He has admitted to complete mismanagement of the ATM error, but has refused to help further, only blaming others and providing no insight on when we can have our money back or who to reach to further the process. And as things are now escalating with the extremely long passage of time with no answers and no offers to resolve, he flat out refuses to give us the district managers phone number, for fear his incompetence is exposed. We had to call other branches to get the phone numbers we need to report him and resolve the error of the ATM which is still missing. The customer service could not possibly be worse, and if you resort to calling the cooperate office, you will spend hours on automated hold and transfers to people who ultimately say it's not their department and offer no further assistance. read more

I ask the teller that i want to transfer money from my checking account to my wife's checking account how do i go about this? She didn't know what to do so she ask senior teller and she told her to make a cashiers check then deposit it to my wife's account. I just opened an account for my son because he was moving to another state and US Bank is the only nation wide bank close to the area he was moving to. I was told to have free checking for him I would have to open a credit card as well. I was told that they would call me in 2 days to give me the rate and terms of the card. It has now been a week and still haven't heard anything and you can't get anyone on the phone. I have tried to call repeatedly and no one ever answers. If it were possible to leave 0 stars I would. My husband went to this bank, and withdrew money from a teller. He gave it to me to deposit, and when I attempted to deposit it in the atm the next day, I discovered it was counterfeit money. My husband immediately went back to this branch, and the manager informed him that there is nothing the bank could do, and it was HIS responsibility to check the money before he left. The manager was completely rude, and un-empathetic. I would not suggest anyone bank here, or trust the tellers to give them money that is not counterfeit. The bank and teller did not do their job and ensure that they gave him money that was not counterfeit. We have both been customers since the bank was Downey Savings, and this is how they treat their loyal customers. We are extremely disappointed. read more
