I had US Cellular for a few years before I switched over to another company a few years ago. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my bill was getting higher and higher every month. After talking to them numerous times on the phone and in person I found out that there were some weird charges on my bills that I never made as well as those hidden fees that they always say that they don't have. I never made any charges on my account because at the time I could barely afford the bill I had but I needed a phone due to my kids and work. For some reason, my service was also always on roaming which made no sense to me since I didn't ever leave the coverage area. My calls were always dropping. My cell service was just horrible. The last time I went in there I paid my bill then I gave my phone back and told them I wanted to cancel my service with them. A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail that said I owed 1200 dollars. Not sure how that happened since I returned my phone and canceled my service weeks before this bill came. They say that I didn't pay them and it racked up these crazy fees. This went on my credit for a few years until somebody finally paid attention and looked at my proof of payment and took it off of my credit. I will never go back to this company again. They are terrible. Just beware if you do go to us cellular. Good luck. read more

I find the staff at US Cellular 10 X v=better that Verison, T Mobile, and AT&T. The staff always address me when I walk in. The have always been knowledgeable and friendly. Tiva is the person I work with most because she rocks! She is a "ifugure it' out with you kind person and she is way more knowledgeable than I am. Services sucks, seller there don't listen to you they just want a make a quick buck, 5g rarely ever work, they charge you a almost 100us for a service you can get in Verizon or T-mobile for half of the price. Service is fine around the area but absolutely horrible throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento. Their coverage map is not accurate by any means. It's almost unusable on extended with their LTE anywhere else. Hopefully this gets updated. read more

Unbelievably terrible service. Nice people who have no interest in serving their customers. The computers are so slow. It's what they blame the slow moving line on. They really need to take names at the door so they know who is next. There is no official line and no guarantee you'll get your turn when it's your turn just a bunch of pissed off customers waiting on lame, uncomfortable red benches. It's crazy how every employee avoids all customers eye contact. Not even, "sorry for the wait", or any attempt to make the longest line ever bearable. I had us cellular for only a few months for bill for 2 phones come up to over $400 and we paid the upfront fees etc we had the lowest plan they had at the time. We paid the $400 The next month it kept going up and up for no reason it eventually got up to $1200 and we didn't know how we didn't charge anything to the account nor did we purchase any app that costed any money. Went in and also called and customer service wouldn't help I refused to pay a bill for something I never did. Worst customer service and service ever read more

Wow! I'm honestly surprised at US Cellular Eureka's exceptional level of customer service. Mara even held onto the last device for us as we drove from Trinidad. Very poor costumer service. I went there last night after work. I understand they're busy, but I was waiting for over half an hour and no one greeted me or said anything. Like, a simple "I'll be with you in just a moment" would of been ok, but no one acknowledge my presences. I felt like I was troubling them waiting to get help. I just decided to leave after that. The service was polite and prompt in McKinleyville when I went in to switch my cell service from Consumer Cellular to US Cellular. I was lured by a "free phone" offer, but after I signed up, I was asked for $70. for the phone. When I reminded the guy that the phone was free, he said that the money would be returned to me by being "backed out" of my basic service charge over a period of three months. I thought it was odd, but, stupid me, I went for it and paid the money. Each month not only was a third of the amount not "backed out" of my service charge, but an additional amount was added on! When I took my bill in, I was told to just wait, that there must've been some sort of glitch, but that it would appear in up-coming bills. Not so! Today, after 3 months I went in and was told that the $70. was a tax on the phone and so were the extra fees on my bill! when I complained, the polite guy told me to call the customer service department. I called and was placed on hold for more than 45 minutes and finally had to go. this is a classic "Bait and Switch" fraudulent advertising scam!! read more

Stay away! Unless you like dealing with con artist, bait and switch tactics and overpriced goods, don't even stop. The manager is rude. You have to wait around sometimes over an hour to speak to someone to find out they are unwilling to help with a situation or resolve a problem. Do yourself a favor run as fast as you can away from this crappy service. Get stuck with them is you get phone from them after trade in because your old I phone doesn't work on this service. You leave you local area to go to city or anywhere else they don't have this service the service and internet does not work . The cost for service is double from other services. If you go out of country service does not work and the will not allow you to put on hold while your gone . All major cell services will. They talk you into buying a new phone at great price after trade in but fail to tell your stuck in 3 years of very low payment to cancel have to pay full amount even after you traded your iPhone from another service for same phone that works for USCellular you can cancel if you give phone back but you just lost all you paid for that phone and the value from phone you traded in .customer service sucks and in store service worse. they lie to you to change your services with all promises will work better for you but wow worse serve ever. Ive been with Us Cellular for Years , My son Joined the Military , we went in to get him on a nation wide plan , we were told that he would be kicked off of Us Cellular if he were to go to the east coast . That they DO NOT have towers or Stores there , and he would be roaming , and if he roams to long he will be told to take a hike !! I said you are US CELLULAR !!! WTH !!! ? on the same note . My other son bought a phone from a friend , the phone line to that phone had been suspended, They told us we needed to take over the previous account , put our name on it and use it as is . That seems like a very illegal situation ,! It took us 3 days to get that line off the phone so we can use it . They told us they couldn't shut off a suspended line only reactivate and use even if it had credit from being over paid . Seems very shady to me .Thinking of looking into other options myself . read more

I have been with Verizon for over 8 years. I decided that Verizon customer service is Rude. So I thought I would go into US and see what they had to offer. The ladies working in there were so super helpful and were not trying to hard sell me crap like at Verizon. They went out of their way to answer my questions and after I decided to go with them they ordered me the phone I wanted in the color I wanted before I even signed up. Plus the rates are less than Verizon, paying the same for 3 lines that I was paying at Verizon for 2 and the service is pretty much the same. read more

Do not be fooled by this company. I went in shopping around for a phone, and ended up getting a galaxy s5. I paid around 440 dollars all send and done with a 100 dollar deposit. I was told that they have similar coverage to Verizon, everywhere verizon gets coverage so does us cellular was the exact words. So I had fifteen days to try it out. what they didn't realize is that I travel every week out of the area. As soon as I hit the Santa Rosa area my phone was roaming, the internet and gps basically shut down to a halt and I was stuck. I get on the customer support to find out that they dont have coverage in that area. Well surprise. So they were good about letting me return the phone. That part went smooth. What I am finding out now is that the refund part can take up to a month to be refunded on to my card! They will charge me with the minutes I used and other stuff, not to mention that 100 deposit is being held ransom until they feel like sending it back instead of taking whatever out of it. This is turning into a big head ache. Please avoid this company unless you never leave out of the area. Even then be wary. read more

I was lied to and misled by the staff at this office. I went in to discuss pricing, because I didn't want to switch carriers unless I could be assured I would be saving money. I was given a print out with the phones and plans I wanted and the estimated price. When I returned the following week to sign up, I gave the person helping me the paper. She brought out three wrong phones and started opening them before I caught it. I was told I wouldn't be charged a restocking fee, but I was. The phones I wanted had to be shipped. I was still sent one incorrect phone and was charged for another restocking fee. We were told we were able to have unlimited data, a discount based on my employer, as well as specials, such as $100/per line in store credit, all for under the price threshold I had given. Two months later, I was in their office, wanting to find out why I had an $800 bill and they could not figure it out! They credited me one of the restocking fees, though. I called the national number and, after speaking to three different people, found a competent person who removed the other restocking fee and the taxes I'd paid on devices I never even received, who told me that you cannot get the employer discount on unlimited plans and that just the base amount for those unlimited plans with the phones we chose was, in fact, nearly double the threshold I had given in the Eureka sales office! So, that explained why my bill was so high. He helped me downgrade our plans from unlimited to 6gb, so that I could continue to afford it. I was also told that the insurance I had selected did not qualify for our phones and I had been automatically moved into a higher category by the sales rep, without being told. I received a letter a month after signing up for service, that even the price of that was going up. This place is staffed by either completely incompetent people, who have no understanding of the pricing structures, or incredibly greedy people, who are only interested in their commission. Or both. Unfortunately, I am now trapped in service with them, as we pay off our phones. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more

Can I give negative stars?!?! Where do I begin with this location? As my girlfriend and I walk into the store to pay her bill three sales associates look right at us and don't even bother to acknowledge our existence. They simply turn and keep trying to make their sales. We walk to the back of the store to talk to a sales associate and no one is to be found.... they're all still talking to customers trying to force sales down their throats! No one could he bothered to say "welcome. Someone will be with you in a minute." NO ONE! Then a tall slender gentleman with food in his goatee comes out of the back, and I get we probably interrupted his lunch break, but here is his greeting. "Sup? What do you want?" How unprofessional!?!?! I worked for spint and we were instanly reprimanded if we ever greeted customers in such a way. Needless to say we walked out and I put my gf on my plan with Verizon. it's over priced garbage. Please do not choose US cell as a service provider. read more
