Customer service was horrible today. First time since.... well my wife and i have been eating breakfast here almost every weekend for two years now. All good things come to an end. Update- as i was putting down a 27% tip because i didn't want the waitress to think our frustration was with her, another manager came up and asked what was the problem. i explained that it was really not a huge deal we asked for different glasses for our tea because the glasses that are on the table had sticky lip marks on them but the other manager told us no that those glasses are for bloody mary drinks and we may run out. But to no end to our conversation the owner came over and told us to leave without even asking what was going on. So the bottom line, i asked for different clean glasses and they told me no. And the owner was very rude. So sad that something we enjoyed so much has come to an end because of dirty glasses and a rude owner. read more

This week, my friend and I decided to check out this place for our weekly brunch. It was ok. Not awesome, but not bad, either. My friend had the patented (yes, PATENTED) protein pancakes, and they were HUGE. Some other people were passing our table to get seated and literally stopped to comment on the size of the pancakes. Anyway, they've got blueberries, granola, cinnamon, and slivered almonds mixed into the batter, so it's quite the pancake. I tried some and thought they were pretty good, but, like I said, not AWESOME. I was feeling like a skillet that day, so I got the ham, sausage, and mushroom skillet with two eggs sunny-side up. The potatoes came out a little bit on the hard side (as did my friend's side of potatoes he got), but it wasn't bad enough where I would be like, This is totally not edible. On the plus side, the potatoes are Idaho potatoes, so they tasted yummy. They would've been yummier, though, if they were fully cooked. Price-wise, this place is probably a dollar too expensive given that the food isn't AWESOME and given that I've been to other brunch places where it's cheaper. Waitresses know what they're doing, though, and the wait time to be seated wasn't bad at all. 15 minutes tops. We had to park a little ways from the restaurant, but it was brunch, and the place is in a strip mall with other businesses, so it was expected. My husband & I have lived a short distance from the original US Egg in Tempe for many years & have always enjoyed their breakfasts. We meet often with some of our ASU friends and the service and hospitality are top-notch. Their protein pancake is my "go to" and it is even better now that the blueberries are plump and juicy. One pancake makes two breakfasts for me. Their omelet choices are numerous and all are delish! It's wonderful to know that a small, family-owned restaurant has expanded all over the valley. Let's start with what was good. Service was great; attentive, friendly and fast. This is a nice neighborhood restaurant that makes you feel like part of the neighborhood. Drinks come two at a time, and coffee in a carafe, so you are never left waiting for a refill. To be honest, I expected a little more from the food, especially considering the amount of customers packed in on a Wednesday morning. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns. Nothing really stood out or had any specialness to it. The hash was mushy and tasted as though it had come from a can. The hash browns lacked crispness and salt.The eggs were poached well however. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but after having had breakfast here, I can honestly say I don't think I would come back. Painfully average. It was between this and iHop. This was my first time in Arizona and I must say this place is pretty good. The chicken was really tasty and the French toast was good as well. We were on a 5 day vacation in Phoenix recently. We ate here 3 times!! I found this on Google. Happy I did. First day was a Saturday and they were PACKED. I ran in and was told less than a 10 minute wait. In 2 minutes our table was ready!! While we were waiting for our breakfast to arrive I was fascinated on the quickness of the bussers. They worked in a pair one emptied the table and sanitized it the 2nd one set with fresh dishes utensils and drink cups. Their efficiency was amazing. The food was excellent we both opted for fruit instead of hashbrowns. There was a small extra charge but worth it very much so... a compete plate of fresh fruit!! The host was so nice! Great food and service! We came in on a Saturday morning around 9am so busy time. It was a cool AZ day and we were willing to sit outside so we were seated immediately (3 of us). There was a wait for an inside table as it was full! Waitress was lovely had some good suggestions. This is a casual place and my husband and I liked that when you order a cup of coffee (it's bottomless) and they leave a carafe on the table. We ordered the meat lovers ID skillet which came with a full chicken fried steak on top! Also got the half and half (two protein pancakes and half a skillet). The protein pancakes had oatmeal and blueberries and were so good! Not heavy and dense like you'd expect. Skillet was great too! Great breakfast place. They had a variety of American and Spanish selections with some great specials. We brought a baby and they were extremely kind to her and very prompt in getting her food so that she didn't fuss. That is always appreciated. They have a really good scrambler but a few too many hash browns for me. Coming from the East Coast we eat home fries rather than hash browns usually so I am not a hash brown fan. Having said that my son-in-law got a meal with hash browns that were grilled and they were very tasty and crispy. The eggs were cooked just right and the vegetables were nice and tender but not mushy. The breads that they serve were good and the coffee was not as hot as I would like it but tasty anyway. They left a pitcher of decaf and a pitcher of caffeinated coffee on the table for us to enjoy and I always like that so you don't have to wait. Good place and will be back read more

Well I can honestly say I was not impressed. Our server was polite but not friendly. The whites of my eggs were not done so they took them back but I did not get then back until we were ready to leave. They discounted our ticket a couple of dollars but I would rather have had my eggs. My toast was mushy and barely buttered and all they have is Smuckers grape and strawberry jelly.
