Came here for some dinner, and had heard some great things, so my expectations were high. They've got a great variety of menu items, which all looked good. The service was great, the guys behind the counter were super nice. I placed my order and we got it togo. The sandwich is a good if you're looking for a quick bite to grab. The sando wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best sandwich I've ever had. It was toasted to my liking, I think I just was missing the flavor. Was looking for a punch of flavor in each bite. Again, not the worst sandwich, but not the best sandwich. I think next time I'd go with something that had a bit more sauce. Service was great, and there was lots of seating as well. Some of the tastiest sandwiches I've had. The Tempe location offers plenty of seating and bar area as well. Decor is definitely unique and makes for a good lunch spot. By far one of the best sandwich places I've been to. Not only are the sandwiches absolutely delicious, but the atmosphere is so vibey. The entire restaurant is very inviting, laidback, and so chill. Located in a small strip mall near campus, this spot has a great laid-back atmosphere and a visibly clean kitchen. While the app gave inconsistent pickup estimates (ranging from 5 to 35 minutes), the staff was friendly when we arrived. We did have a few order accuracy issues--wrong dressing and extra peppers despite asking for none--but the food itself was tasty. 11/23/25: I don't know what I like better: the sammies or the huge Rice Krispy treats. :-) I haven't been to Cheba in years, mostly because I try to avoid the ASU area when school is in session, but this particular day I wanted a great sandwich, from somewhere not overly-franchised (such as Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's). Cheba did not disappoint. I had the Pakalolo & it was just as delicious as I remembered from years ago. By popular team vote, my work chose this place to cater to our office day. Nothing against my team but personally, sandwiches are not exciting but I kept an open mind as I've never had Cheba Hut before. My initial reaction of disappointment proved to be right when I got to sample a sub. The catering order of subs were what I believe to be 12 inch subs that are cut in half and I ended choosing a half White Widow (6 inch sub). It was not bad flavor wise but there was nothing extraordinary. It was also very messy and started to break apart the more I ate because it was so soggy. I'm not sure why my team mates were so gung-ho about Cheba Hut. I feel that Jimmy John's and Firehouse Subs is way better. I'm just glad I didn't pay for this myself because I would have been really unhappy. There is a location kind of in the area of my home but after this experience, there is no way I would go out of my way for it. I can't speak to the customer service aspect as I was not the one who placed the order or picked it up but I will say that I appreciate our order being ready at the scheduled time and the nice packaging. read more

The food here was amazing! Everything we got was oh so great! You would think, how great can a sub place be? But I swear to you I've never tasted such a flavorful, well combined flavors ever in a sub. I'm a pescatarian and got their tuna sub.... OMG. SO GOOD! Not any crazy overwhelming fishy smell or taste. The food always delivers, the people are friendly, funny, and welcome everyone--from office-goers on their lunch break to stoners venturing out for their nightly munchies. Cheeba hut is DELICIOUS! I have been going here since way before they ever expanded and its still as good as ever! The serving sizes are generous and they have an abundance of sandwich options - there is something for everybody. I personally ask to have my sandwich serviced with "spring mix" vs the regular lettuce and I always have it "double toasted". If you get a sandwich that comes with lettuce, try this special request next time, I promise you wont be disappointed! Inside, the store is funky. They have tons of "stoner" decorations and stickers everywhere. Even the beverages are funny.
