That's a lot of residential service plus a bunch of small businesses all crammed together. A couple years back the nearby area of Columbus was designated "Fifth By Northwest" (Fifth Avenue & Northwest Boulevard). You can also call it "The 212" after the last three digits of the local postal code. So the staff are great & friendly in this tiny little postal office. When there aren't lines it's great, but when there are lines, wow.. with only two counter windows & a TINY public space, they really have their work cut out for them. And the working area seems a touch cramped to me - just my opinion. I don't know, but probably having the main post office on Twin Rivers Drive so close by might take some of the busy heat off this location. Just a guess... Anyway, these particular postal workers sure get the job done with a smile. Never unfriendly when I've been in there. It just may take a little while if you come when the lines are longer, typically I've found that to happen around the lunch hours during the work week, and on Saturday mornings.

This branch is located at 1822 Henderson Rd and sits back off the road in a strip mall. Plenty of parking, and easy in and out. There was a line but it only took under 10 mins and it is the holiday with everyone mailing packages. There were two employees working the counter and were working at a good pace. The employee I worked with was friendly and courteous and checked a couple of cards for weight for me as extra postage was required. No issues here at all, good service, and friendly employees.

Now thinking back to that, I think how silly that I was and I could have approached that situation a little differently back then. Today I learned how nice the post office staff here are and want to help you with your mail. I was just trying to mail out my wedding slideshow for my in-laws today and they were so helpful because I didn't know that the package I selected would have cost so much just to send to Cincinnati. Instead of choosing priority mail, the post office worker had me go with first class which end up costing less than the price priority was costing to send out the CD. I am so happy I came here today and can't wait for my in-laws to open up their package on Wednesday! I know they will be so happy to see our slideshow from my wedding. It will just brighten their day!:)

The facility is clean and in good shape, fairly large for a neighborhood post office, plenty of parking, big self-serve areas inside. Two people at the three counters today, I only waited a few minutes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pickup process was fairly easy. Got a note in the mail explaining what was coming, where it was from, and the options. Had to show ID and sign, and verify address, etc. As for overall service, it has had its ups and downs but mainly been good. We signed up for emails telling us what's coming, and they are usually accurate. A year or two ago we had a long stretch when they were not- we wouldn't get mail for several days then got everything they saved up, apparently. But before that, and for the last year or so, the emails have been pretty accurate and deliveries come almost every day. I think they were shortstaffed and went through a lot of carriers. When we moved in it was the same person for years, and here lately it's the same guy. I think that helps, them and us.
