Good experience here. Had to wait in line a bit but there were two employees working the counter. This is not my usual post office but I was out running errands and needed to drop off some cards. This branch is located at 1822 Henderson Rd and sits back off the road in a strip mall. Plenty of parking, and easy in and out. There was a line but it only took under 10 mins and it is the holiday with everyone mailing packages. There were two employees working the counter and were working at a good pace. The employee I worked with was friendly and courteous and checked a couple of cards for weight for me as extra postage was required. I dropped off a package on Friday. Watched for it to begin transit and it never showed as scanned. I waited thinking it was a fluke. Then Wednesday I went to the USPS location again to inquire, only to be informed that some employees were not scanning packages at all! Now my package is "lost and likely stolen" by the same people who work at the USPS! Whomever took the star blanket I spent hours creating, I just hexxed the remaining threads. Comically bad. The other reviews already covered it all. Pack snacks, water, a book, change of clothes. You will wait in a long, slow line at all times. Self serve machine will be out of service most of the time. There will be one employee working at all times. read more

This branch has some of the rudest female staff I have ever encountered. Virtually every visit ends with me feeling angry and upset at the treatment I received, ranging from indifference to rude remarks to outright insults. This goes back years. They are just abrasive and miserable. We actually drive further across the city to go to another office if we can help it. read more

I usually go to the USPS over in Beechwold, but the parking there is just awful, and I knew it would be worse during the holidays. The Henderson location is set back in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It's a little run down inside and expectedly understaffed. They have kept up the plexiglass dividers between the staff and customers (understandable) but my voice doesn't carry well and I felt like I had to shout at the poor lady helping me. Since I came during the holidays there was a fairly long line, but, again, what can you expect in December? read more

This location has been found closed well before posted closing time, outer doors locked after hours when the lobby should remain open, and the interior parcel drop full to capacity or not functioning properly to receive incoming packages. This is hands down the worst office in the city mabye the US. I have had a post box there for over 15 years. The past few years the employees there have been rude, unprofessional and lazy. I pay for a service to have my mail delivered everyday that the mail is delivered. This post office only puts out the post box mail 75% of the time. This is outrageous people with post boxes many have businesses and are waitin on impoertant and timely delivery. It is unexcusable the business parctices and work ethic at this office. I have been calling this post office for 45 minutes and no one answers. I've been calling repeatedly to let them know that they're sending the wrong mail to our apartment. It's important paperwork and we brought it in to let them know but they still do it. The phone rings so long it loses connection and then hangs up. So I call again and again and same thing. ...well this might be the best post office I've been to but that's not saying much. This post office feels as though it operates like "The Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld. All of the customers stand in the line, stiff and quiet...hoping to not piss off the staff. The employees aren't so bad...they just look mean and refuse to smile. I started coming here because I work very close to this post office so it's very convenient for me to do everything in between my lunch hour here. My first time here, I was warmly greeted by the ladies. Then they started recognizing me the more I came in to send big letters or packages out. Today I drove the extra mile from my home because I feel I can trust this post office now and I had my passport I needed renewed. The line was long but the ladies working there this morning did a great job working with each customer. I know I wasn't completely prepared with my passport but I was guided what I needed to fill out and do to send the application and old passport out. Now I feel completely satisfied because not only did I check off something I could not do for a long time, but I got it all done with the help of the post office ladies there. It always feels good to get stuff done on your list of things you've been putting off for a long time. Also it feels good to get another passport because it marks the years I've lived in the U.S. since moving from Israel. read more

As someone previously stated: it's a post office. They're doing their best. I have a better experience here than the post office assigned to my address so I go out of my way to go here. Is the wait time long? Sometimes! The post office does a lot so some forms take a while. If you can, fill out the form online but if not, try to be respectful. This is a convenient location when out at one of the nearby stores. For example, I was at Marc's where I bought a mailer and I walked here to mail my item. The self service machine is towards the front so it can't be missed. It's easy to use. Waiting for service at the counter can take a while. One person was working at the counter. I was behind 2 people and had another 2 or 3 behind me. I've only used it the one time and am not likely to use it again. This location has one of the better selections of post office boxes in different sizes. read more

Francine is probably the rudest person I've ever interacted with in customer service. She is judge mental and disrespectful instead of just being helpful. I went to change my address because my stimulus check was being mailed and I realized the address I had on file for my 2018 taxes as an old address. The online change of address form wasn't working for me so I went in to do it in person. Instead of being helpful, she was rude and judge mental that I hadn't filled out a change of address form prior. I came there for help, not a lecture, obviously this has been a stressful time for everyone, there is no need to be disrespectful. I have had poor experiences with her probably 4-5 times now and she is clearly a poor representation of the USPS. The lady here at USPS on Henderson would not offer me a couple pieces of tape to put one of there labels, which I purchased from them on my box .. They said I would have to buy a roll of tape which was more than the cost of the label and sorry. Now I have to drive all the way home just to tape the label on my box. Very frustrating. When I stand at the line, I always wish that someone else would call me to process my post.
