Regina is marvelous. I have a closer USPS to me but the service there is terrible and I never get out in under 30 minutes any time of the years. This location run smoothly and efficient. This is my 'go to' USPS in spite of being further away. read more

For the most part, the mail comes every two or three days in chunks. I get that it's possible that they are slow staff. However, I have have mail that has been opened and then a poor attempt to close. A check that I mailed out was stolen and altered for more money. I found out that other people on my street had the same thing happen to them. Today a DVD came, and it was all crushed as if something heavy smashed the package which was properly packaged by the sender. They really need to get it together. I've already filed two police reports for the theft. This is just getting ridiculous. Go to the Worthington post office to mail anything out safely. read more

They made my day by tracking it down and calling me personally to get it to me. Worse place every . Manager Mike is holding our mail for personal reason. When I asked him that why mailed were held in post office he said we have the right to refuse to deliver mail to gays and immigrants I had my jaw almost fell I came home then complaint with Consumer services good luck with that these people run this place like a cool aid stands. Yes they are still holding my mail until the day . They should be de-funded and completely banned from providing services once again it is a government related agency so I understand. Surely I've reviewed this before. I remember coming, and having a bad experience, not so long ago. Today was much better. Still not great, but decent. The parking lot is awkward and dangerous. Be careful turning off High (and get out of the way once you do get in, but be careful in this cramped, odd lot.) Basically one way in and out, and leaving means going around the block. Inside, a pretty typical post office, with boxes to one side and the main area to the left. No line when I got there mid-afternoon on a weekday. Service was up and down, but generally friendly and fast. Prices, well, it's the post office, so it's cheaper than some options but it ain't cheap. I generally avoid this location, and still will, but it is handy sometimes. read more

Usually pretty awful service, some employees better than others. Overall, worse than almost any post office I've ever visited. Busy location but very inefficiently run, mail and packages piled everywhere, does not give impression of any efficiency and questionable security for mail. Looks third-world. When holding mail, some mail still gets delivered anyway. This week, hold started a day earlier than I scheduled so I missed a package...went to PO to claim package, they could not find it. Parking is a disaster...the lot seems to get used as a "park and ride", even when PO is slow, lot is full. It's a train wreck. read more

With this branch of the USPO you get what you get. If the lot is full keep going and come back later or find another location. They can get very busy and can be very slow. This is in a great location but it only easily accessible if you are traveling north on high street, there is no turn lane if you are heading south so you may want to drive further south so you can turn around to get on the same side of the street. Also note you can't access from Henderson. As far as parking goes, it is not ideal, they have more empty spots in the lot next door for their own trucks and employee vehicles than they do in their lot for customers. People creating their own spots at the point doesn't help either. They have a self service station and vending machine. If you have to stop here when there is a long line, this is a great alternative. Make sure you bring a card, they don't take cash in the machines. If you want a PO box, this location has one of the largest collections in the city. They have multiple sizes as well. The customer service is very friendly and personable, but it is a double edge sword. While the clerk may put a smile on your face when you are at the counter, everyone behind you in line will be very frustrated because time adds up. The post master does not understand staffing. Why do you close windows or give breaks when you are lined up to the door. If you have four windows why does it seem like there are only two open at any given time. Employees in the back should be cross trained so they can come up and assist at the counter when they get busy. read more

Rates go up and service continues to be abysmal. I am a part-time on-line seller who spends roughly $700 per year shipping with USPS. And I get horrible residential service. Do you have plans for fixing the delivery issues in 43202? Multiple missed days, bogus excuses for package delays, and wrong address...REPEATEDLY! It's the #1 topic on my neighborhood chat groups. By the way, I have lived here over 25 years! Thanks to the internet we now know when a packages is due to arrive so we can try to get it before someone steals it. Shippers see notices about no secure location, animal on property, and notice left. This is total bull and has been going on for over 3 years. We go days without seeing a carrier. Emails to Post Master don't help, speaking to managers only helps temporarily. I get it, it's a hard route but good lord please fix this mess. read more

Everyone knows all the common gripes about the post office.... long lines, etc. Well, the Beechwold location has all those, plus one thing that makes it worse than any other post office I use: the worst parking lot in the world. It's an L-shaped lot that has room for about 20 cars, but it's striped for 30. Most of the time, you can find a spot open, but in December, forget it. I just drove past there 10 minutes ago, and traffic was backed up onto High Street with cars waiting for parking spots. To make things worse, if you can't find a spot, there's no room to turn around; you get dumped onto a one-way alley and have to drive all the way around the block. The best thing about this post office is the automated package machine, which lets you mail packages without talking to anyone... and you can use it after hours. So that's really cool, and the machine is fun to use. It also sells stamps. On the bad side, the package machine took the place of the dedicated stamp machines, which were phased out by the USPS. So now, if you want to buy stamps with cash, or you want a stamp design that doesn't have flags on it, you have to wait in line. Not cool. I've had problems with brusque customer service here in the past. It's frustrating when there's a line of people waiting behind an empty counter, and you can hear postal workers whooping it up back in the warehouse. That said, on my recent visits, the people who have helped me have been very friendly, and I've seen them react patiently to some crackpots and jerks. If I had my druthers, I'd use the post office in Worthington instead of this one, but the extra drive time isn't worth it to me (plus the lines are just as bad there). read more

I don't even know why I BOTHER with this location. Probably because it's the closest one to me and I always like to be hopeful. The parking situation is worse than any other post office. I don't even understand why this place is more crowded than all the other post offices, but sometimes I have to come by more than once during the day to find a damn parking spot. Strike one, try again later...strike two, try again later, strike three...NOPE, wait, woohoo...someone is leaving!!!!!!! Then you have to drive all around the freaking block to get back to the street. It might be the worst parking lot in all of Columbus. It is crowded at all times except the weekend because it's CLOSED. This location has made me start buying all my postage online and any shipping materials at Target or Kroger because you're going to be in line for an hour. Now I just use the drop off bin by the P.O. Boxes because I don't have an hour to wait in line. Three people in line, you're waiting an hour...ten people in line, you're waiting an hour. You're screwed either way. This makes the terrible parking situation even more frustrating because I only need to run in for 30 seconds to drop my packages off in the bin and then leave. In addition to the hour wait in line, you're not guaranteed a parking spot, so figure in having to drive around the block no less than five times. Good luck and godspeed. read more

The parking lot around this building is ridiculous. It's the Post Office. You'd think they'd actually want to be housed in something that was easy to get inside. But no. It's one way, and if all the spots are taken (which they usually are) you end up having to do all sorts of roundabout things to get back into the parking lot again. And don't even think about walking. It's like they intentionally created a lot that doesn't allow you to walk in without risking your life amongst the cars circling for a spot. Once you get inside, the lines are long and the employees here are almost always overworked and slightly brusk. Save yourself the hassle and drive the two miles to Worthington. The parking is easy and the people are nicer. read more

Worst post office I have ever been to. It's totally designed for the convenience of the workers and not their customers. First, parking is impossible--either getting into the place (only from High Street and preferably if you are north bound) or getting out (because you will get hit by cars trying to drop letters off out back in the alley). You can only go around and around (ok, that's a joke)....Inside, the postal workers...never mind, just drive up High Street to Worthington where they are polite and friendly and, guess what? This place sucks! We have been experiencing issues with packages being delivered to our neighbors and/or not getting delivered at all. We filed a complaint and the manger was supposed to call...never happened. My wife and I went in the other day to mail some boxes and the lady at the counter actually asked us if there was anything nice in the boxes that she could take. I've used this branch on and off over the years, and it has always been fine...you know, it is a post office branch...how great is it going to be? But this Saturday, I got the most amazing service from Brandon and Janice. I own a well-respected salon in the Short North that is very well rated for our hair extensions and we had a client coming in at 4pm who had prepaid dearly for this service. But the extensions that were to arrive Thursday from FedEx had been mysteriously subcontracted to USPS and as of Saturday morning, we still had not tracked down the package. We had been trying to track it through USPS (by adding a 72 to the beginning of the Fed Ex tracking number, per FedEx's instructions) but that number was not in the USPS system. Brandon and Janice went above-and-beyond the call of duty and somehow (without a tracking number) found our package among 3 palates of boxes! Of course I would have preferred to not have the package lost in the first place, but since we have no idea which shipper to fault for that, I'll just give this team 5 stars for making it right in the end. read more

This USPS branch is AWFUL! I have had 4 packages in the last several years set to be delivered by my mail carrier, who falsely reported the packages as "rejected delivery" (3 times) or "attempted delivery" (1 time), and I did not receive any of those packages until 2-5 business days later. I was home most of these occasions so I would have answered any "attempts" to deliver. Additionally, today USPS reports that I allegedly received 2 expected Amazon packages. I received only 1. Furthermore, I have filed claims for 2 of the aforementioned packages, and both were closed as the manager of this location called me and said "well your packages were delivered to you so there is no issue". Yes, receiving packages 2-5 days later that the carrier scanned falsely as "rejected delivery" is an issue. In all these instances I was not able to choose the mail carrier because if I could, I would choose an honest, accurate delivery service. read more

Anti-Pedestrian Fortress Funny that an agency whose carriers so often deliver by foot could build an urban office that does not even acknowledge, let alone accommodate the pedestrian in any way. The parking lot surrounding the building does not have a single gap or walkway to allow entrance from the sidewalk. The pedestrian must either enter via the driveway (and risk being run down), or step over parking blocks and shimmy between parked cars. After a snowfall, the sidewalks are never cleared. Instead, snow plowed from the street and from the lot create an impenetrable barrier on the sidewalk, repelling customers and rendering the sidewalk useless. Additionally, the parking lot and traffic flow around the building are a complete cluster**** with insufficient capacity and clueless drivers. Once inside, lines at the counter frequently go 10-deep. But then, if you often find yourself using the counter at the post office, you're doing something wrong. Collection times at this location are later than other offices in the city, except for the central Twin Rivers location. There is a nice parcel drop at this location for any pre-paid packages you might have. USPS still does a great job getting the goods delivered. read more

This is *the worst* post office in Columbus. I had mail returned by the Riverside Drive Post Office, for insufficient postage. I knew they were wrong, and that the postage was sufficient, but I decided to go to beechwold location to get it fixed, even though they have been bad in the past. It was rush hour and I didn't want to drive down to Twin Rivers. The one lady who knew I was right, would not speak up. They called her the "lead". She knows her stuff and does a good job, I am not sure why she wouldn't speak up. I told both the ladies that they had mailed these exact same packages for me, and the one lied and said no, but the lead remembered me...but wouldn't speak up? I asked for a supervisor...The person who came out was a man with no name tag, didn't want to give me his name, or come out and look at the APC and show me what I did wrong, presumably because I did nothing wrong. He finally gave me a name, and the ladies at Twin Rivers told me he probably lied. He was rude, and after I demanded his name to complain, two male customers in line decided to jump in and tell me to leave! They were in a hurry and said I was slowing the line down...well I had my time wasted too, thanks. When I took the parcels to Twin Rivers Location, they confirmed I did not need extra postage. Big shock, since I have been mailing the same products in the same envelopes for 10 years. I am going to complain to the postmaster at the Beechwold location tomorrow. And I will always drive to Twin Rivers from now on...which is pathetic, since there are two branches closer to me. read more

Other than a postage stamp for a general letter that you need to get somewhere no time soon...forget USPS. They are atrocious! Pay for priority only to get none. Even for a standard mail postage, I don't expect much. 3 days to go 2 miles standard postage...C'Mon man! 4 weeks for 2 day priority or 10 days for 1 day priority with no refund! The only thing this Post office has going for it is it has a self service machine. I do all my sending through that. The downside is somethings can not be sent through the machine. :( Every time I have to face an employee who works there, or the soooo slow line I die a little in inside. Employees at this location are EXTREMELY RUDE. I wasn't home when my package was being delivered. The tracking online says they left a notice on my door but they NEVER did. And I went to the post office to pick it up. The old woman told me that I was supposed to have the note and complained that she had to go find my package without the note. This happened twice. The delivering woman is called Annis and she was also very very rude on the phone when she was delivering my package. She even yelled at me and she lied about leaving the notice on the door. I hope businesses stop using USPS cuz they really suck. And USPS itself doesn't seem to care about how customers are treated. I tried to look for a place on their website so that I can send my complains to them but couldn't find one. read more

Went here to mail a large, heavy book. Once I reached the counter, the woman was incredibly rude and practically embarrassed me in front of the full line of customers behind me by loudly stating I needed to repackage my box and come back later. I was so taken aback. Every single time I go to a USPS location, they are more than willing to help me correctly mail my things and at the cheapest rate. She was trying to tell me I had to mail it priority - that would have cost me $60! I asked about using their flat-rate boxes, since it would only be $11. But for some reason, she brushed that to the side and told me I needed to repackage and come back and I could try to mail it at their "book rate" if I wanted. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what.... but I just left without even sending my book and having lost over 20 minutes of time. FORTUNATELY the manager, Sharon, at this location is awesome. I noticed a phone number to call in a customer's experience on the door as I was leaving, and immediately called. I told her I had a negative experience and suggested maybe talking to the employees about being more patient and helpful to their customers before quickly turning them away. She apologized profusely for my experience and told me if I returned she would personally priority mail my book at no charge. I said she didn't have to do that but she kept pushing it and in the end, I just couldn't give up free priority mailing! Sharon's customer service alone is reason to go back to mail all my packages. read more

My trips to the post office often involve running in to mail a package with one or two kids in tow. The Automated Postal System has saved my life. Once you learn it, your trips will be quick and easy. I love the location of the APS in this office- I'm usually in and out in 5 minutes. The only downside is the weird exit that makes you exit south into the alley. read more

I went to this post office location this morning to apply for my passport. I had heard so many horror stories about the application process (long lines, mean employees, etc). But, that was not my experience AT ALL. I had to stand in line, for maybe 15 minutes, and the lady that helped me was extremely kind. She explained everything in detail and informed me you can track your status of your passport online. She was very knowledgable and made small talk through out the review. The actual applying part took all of 10 minutes--she looked over my application, verified my driver's license/birth certificate, allowed me to pay, and sent me on my way. I recommend this place for anyone that is applying for thier passport. read more

Small yet professional post office. Parking is a nightmare but you can park along Henderson if need be. There can always be more employees up front helping to cut the line down, especially during the busy times, but that's most post offices. I will say there are several large drop off boxes behind the station so you can roll up and roll off fast but this is only for your basic envelopes and smaller parcels. this is the worst post office i've ever been to. they only have one employee working, today is 11-27, holiday season. it's busy and they're taking their sweet time with each customer, about 6 min each one, yes i'm timing them because i literally cannot believe how comical this is. i've been in line for a half hour and just when it's about my turn, the lady walks away for 10 min leaving no one at the counter. every time i come in, these workers are super rude and makes me feel like i'm bothering them, when in all reality, this is your damn job. i work in customer service and i'd be fired a long time ago if i acted like these people. so save yourself and go to a different post office if you need, or use fedex/ups. read more

No since of protecting the packages the deliver also on more then one occasion birthday cards and packages have arrived open and things missing. I should read review before I went there. No wonder not many reviews. Parking is absolutely RIDICULOUS. What are they thinking? Drive through? Had to circle around a couple of times to get for a spot. Once I got in there, I had a bad feeling - None of the two staff memebers had any trace of pleasant facial expression. I asked for a receipt and got a lecture about "it is against the policy to give out a receipt". I never had problems getting a receipt at other post offices. I dont know what is the policy and itt is not written anywhere, and wondered where she got training. I hope my package will arrive safely. It is holiday season. Put some smile on the face and make customers happy, for crying out loud. It really makes me wondering how usps train their staff members,cause they are so differnt. read more

They lost a package that was sent to me several months ago. It had a tracking number which indicated it was out for delivery on the truck, then it vanished! It was not insured, so no recourse. I doubt they even questioned the substitute carrier. Just posted an important letter there Friday that I paid for a tracking number. It was being sent to a local address so never left the Clintonville PO so I thought it would be safe I tracked it on line. It was on the truck for delivery Monday morning. Then 3 hours later, tracking info indicated No Status Update and it has been that way since. Was it delivered??? Of course, no one answers when I phone the PO. I'll head up there to see the supervisor, however I don't expect any positive customer service...or the delivery of the letter. I should have known better. Never again. read more
