When she refused my access i asked for her name to make a complaint about her. She refused stating "I don't care. I don't give a f---". When i left without my mail I snapped a photo of the situation. Powell mail carriers FREQUENTLY misplace mail (either in wrong boxes or just plain laziness ... apparently "lost in the sauce" of boredom and so don't take time to be careful ... I don't know? But it's frustrating just how frequently this USPS branch is messing up). In this day and age of high tech shipping and delivery services these people have not kept pace with the population growth of the area. They are constantly chasing their tails and don't seem to care about improving their process. Even the simple process of placing holds on mail becomes problematic every time I request holds - either the mail carrier doesn't follow through or the office doesn't effectively communicate with carriers. I do hope the Powell Post Master reads this and works on a more efficient and effective shipping and delivery system. Granted a few mistakes are going to happen and that's understandable, but on a very frequent daily basis there should not be the volume of issues that plague this branch.

Went today to pick up something I had to sign for, so this is a review for that but also for our…read moremail service in general. The facility is clean and in good shape, fairly large for a neighborhood post office, plenty of parking, big self-serve areas inside. Two people at the three counters today, I only waited a few minutes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pickup process was fairly easy. Got a note in the mail explaining what was coming, where it was from, and the options. Had to show ID and sign, and verify address, etc. As for overall service, it has had its ups and downs but mainly been good. We signed up for emails telling us what's coming, and they are usually accurate. A year or two ago we had a long stretch when they were not- we wouldn't get mail for several days then got everything they saved up, apparently. But before that, and for the last year or so, the emails have been pretty accurate and deliveries come almost every day. I think they were shortstaffed and went through a lot of carriers. When we moved in it was the same person for years, and here lately it's the same guy. I think that helps, them and us.

I thought we'd package it together but he said he'd do it later. I paid, got my receipts and left. Then I got an email and call from Nintendo and they said an empty package arrived to them. Nintendo is investigating for theft. So either the employee stole my son's switch or they packaged it up and it was stolen in route to Nintendo. Luckily Nintendo is going to replace the switch and I'm filling a claim with ups and reporting the store. My son is attached to his stuff. And even though he's getting a new one, he's upset because he just wants his stuff. I really really don't like thieves. I'm not accusing this store but it didn't feel right not seeing my sons switch packaged up. I should have demanded to see them package it because now I have no idea if it was ever in the box. At least if I saw them package it up I'd know it wasnt someone at the store who stole it. Nintendo told me they received a perfectly packaged unopened box with nothing in it but padding. Overall we got a bad deal from this store and I'll never go back accept to file my claim. If I could give no stars then I would. We are so disappointed.
