Mike is what went well! I took my iPhone 17 in with a shattered screen. He told me he thought it was just the glass protector. I told him I didn't have a glass protector on this iPhone because Verizon told me I didn't not need one and they did not even have one in the store to sell me. Well, apparently I didn't believe them and got one (Now vaguely remember getting a glass protector at Apple) because Mike just peeled off the glass protector and my phone was fine! I realize how stupid this sounds, but Mike was friendly, helpful and so polite about the whole thing. I would definitely go back, though I hope I don't need to! read more

This past March, I went to uBreakiFix to have the battery replaced in my iPhone 13. Before the replacement, my phone had no issues other than the battery which I had intended to replace. I was told that the replacement battery was Apple-branded and was the best quality battery they offered. The replacement battery worked normally for about a month, but then I noticed the battery health began dropping significantly. It continued to decline by roughly 10% before the battery eventually began to swell and push the screen away from the phone eventually almost separating the two. The day the puffing/ swelling began, the silent mode switch on my phone also began to malfunction. Rather than the switch controlling whether it is on silent mode or not, the phone began going back and forth on its own despite the switch not moving. I was concerned, because the phone also began extremely overheating, and seemed it was going to catch fire or even explode. I contacted uBreakiFix, and they replaced the battery for the second time, because it was still under warranty. Again, they informed me the battery I was getting was "from apple" and the best quality the offer. They also confirmed that if I would have waited to address this issue, the battery could have in fact exploded. When I received my phone back after the second battery replacement, I was told there was nothing they could do about the Ring/Silent issue. I then noticed that the Volume Up button no longer functioned at all, another issue the phone did not have before the original battery replacement. What started as a simple battery replacement has now turned into a much bigger problem, leaving me with multiple hardware issues that my phone did not have before the repair. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and expected much better from a professional repair service. read more

Be aware of faulty replacement screen when you ask their service for it. I had my screen replaced for my Galaxy Note 20. When i got my phone back, they had screen protect on newly replaced screen. I didnt think much of it, but several months later when the protector got peeeld off, i noticed a big scratch in the screen that was concealed by the protector. Very disappointed by their dishonesty. I then dropped my phone on thick padded bath mat. Despite the phone being in an OTTER BOX Defender the screen cracked. I paid to have it replaced again despite my skepticism that the less 2 foot fall on an ultra soft surface in an OTTER BOX caused so much damage. Two weeks latter while sitting at dinner the screen developed a flaw while we watched. A flaw that travels and changes at random. I returned to have it repaired under warranty but the manager refused. He claimed "that some sort of pressure" in the middle bottom edge of the screen damage it. (like maybe pressing the screen into place while installing it) It's obvious the screens are defective or just so cheap they designed to fail. ***********************************I have contacted Ubreakifix corporate and of course they have NOT responded. A reminder that a free diagnostic is never free because I genuinely regret ever bringing my Playstation into the shop. Broke my PS3 just to let me know it would be $250 to fix... crazy. Originally, I brought it in just to make sure it was working well and that the real issue were the controllers, worker agreed just to come home later and for the system not to display. Overall I would give 4 1/2 just to be fair. They gave me a estimated price range on fixing right away. Since they were completely honest and open of giving me two price range. One price was fair and the second was way over my budget addition on telling me that it's unable to be fixed since it won't last anyways since they didn't have the actual glass screen on the home button. So if you actually happen to accidentally drop in the water. Yet I had an iPhone 7plus (all phones are different yes! But just check with them on your price) My best bet is get the estimated price with them about it, they may say the completely the same thing! It's your money! They did not have the part in stock and they gave me an estimate on when it would arrive. It didn't happen. The part arrived later then originally estimated. They also failed to collect the phone's password and some other data at the time I dropped it off so they played phone tag with me several days. The experience was overly cumbersome. I have a Samsung S9 plus. This is the first time in my life I have cracked the glass on my phone. I had brought it somewhere else first explaining to them all I wanted was the glass replaced. The uBreakiFix in Arlington Heights repaired our controller in less than five minutes. I brought my working IPhone in for a battery replacement and they told me it would take about an hour so I left and came back a little over an hour later and they told me that they are having a problem with it. I know I should have called before I returned, but I trusted their timing. They couldn't give me a time to return so I gave them my home number for them to call me when it was ready. I received a call that they worked on it longer and they replace the battery however they couldn't get the screen to work again and they tried everything. So basically I brought my working phone in with a bit of a battery problem and got back a phone that was not working at all.
