Wow, Impressive level of missteps creates just a poor customer service environment. Dropped off an iPhone last week for repair, no big deal, got a call saying it was done a couple of days later, wasn't able to pick it up that day. Went to the store on Monday 8/19 around 12:15pm as the opening hours on their website shows 10am-7pm M-F. Get there and the door is locked , there is a handwritten sign on the door saying "due to staffing issues our hours are M-F 12pm - 5pm". OK fine, I mean maybe update your website but it's 12:15pm on a Monday and you're still not open, maybe your employee is running late...I'll stop back about 12:45pm. I get there close to 1pm and the door is still locked and it's now almost 1pm. I call the number on the front door and it's a non-working number ??? The website has a different number, when you call it it tells you "we're closed'....that's it, no option to leave a message just we're closed. So I wait until Tuesday, go back at 12:30pm and they're open, except I wait in line about 30 minutes. The guy in front of me is told his iPad was fixed and to come pick it up, then gets there and is told the part didn't arrive..so why did you call him and tell him it's fixed ??? I get to pick up the phone, I ask them if they were closed on Monday and he said yes, I asked why the sign written in sharpie said they were open and he couldn't answer. Then he hands me a non-charged, dead phone so I can't test it to see if it works, he also says to call the number on the receipt if it doesn't work !!! I tell him that the number on the door is the wrong number and he says "ugh yeah, we keep telling corporate", dude don't wait...just take down the number from the door. I only rated them two stars because they did fix the phone, but the rest of the experience is like watching clowns at the circus !!! read more

TLDR; incompetent and untrustworthy. charged me $150 to fix my phone, broke it, gave me a replacement that had a broken camera/not enough storage, then refuses to give me a working phone. btw, this whole process took a month and since they don't answer phone calls I had to go in store at least 6-7 times. read more

Ugh. I'm not even totally sure how to rate this place. Here are my mixed-bag reasons: ** I cracked my phone screen. I looked for someplace convenient to bring it in for repair, and the Cheektowaga UBreakIFix was nearby. ** I called and spoke to someone at the store. I figured they would have to order my screen because I don't have a Samsung or iPhone. The guy said he'd have to order. I said okay. He said they'd call when it's in. I said about how long. He said maybe a couple weeks. I said okay. ** This all sounded very wishy-washy to me. He did not give me a confirmation number, or anything. I marked my calendar to call back in a couple weeks, if I did not hear back. ** Sure enough, a couple weeks go by, and nothing. I called and get another guy, to whom I explained my order. He said that I they can't just order parts for me, that I have to put down a deposit. ** This was NEWS TO ME, as the last guy said nothing about a deposit. NOT HAPPY at this point. The guy explained they were short handed, and had new people. I just wanted to get it fixed, so I had them order the part, paid the deposit, and had to wait another week. ** I brought my phone in about a week later, around lunch time. The wait to get in the store itself was LONG, about 40 minutes, because only one person is allowed in at a time. And it takes each person FOREVER to be waited on. ** I came back after work, about 5pm, waited some more outside, and bad news. The screen they ordered was defective. UGH! He was able to pry off the defective screen and put my old cracked screen back on, which now had some additional damage of more cracks and black spots. ** So here we go again. :-( They ordered another screen. It was a Friday. He said if it were another day, he could overnight it. So I had to wait until Thursday for the new screen to arrive. This all sounded odd. Couldn't he have over-nighted it on Monday to get it on Tuesday? ** The screen came on Thursday, and back I went. I waited outside to get in for another 30+ minutes. I dropped off around 10am, and went back to pick up around 4pm. And again, BAD NEWS!! He could not fix my screen. He said the manufacturer could not troubleshoot the issue either. He refunded my deposit, and I left with no fix, and no hope. So GAH! About a month has passed since I first needed my phone repaired and started this process with UBreakIFix. I ended up with no fix, and an even more damaged phone in the end. :-( I gave two stars instead of one star because besides the very first guy I spoke to, the other workers were at lest very nice and apologetic about the issues. I realize the defective parts were not their fault, but the poor training of the first guy and the failing to fix it was disappointing. "IFix" is in the name of the store! But no fix for me. I've had my phone for a few years, and really like it. But it is an older mid-range model, so I guess it is time to move on and upgrade to a newer phone. RIP poor phone. Would I go back to UBreakIFix? The long waits at the store and even longer waits to get parts makes me think I'll try someplace else next time. If you have a more mainstream phone, perhaps you'll have better luck here. read more

By far the best repair assistance I have ever had in my 15 years of owning a cellphone. I needed my screen replaced and it was done in minutes. I have never had a service completed so quickly. On top, I was able to have a screen protector (protection pro) added on. The quality here is worth the value. Customer service is also amazing. Tyler and Brian were both very knowledgeable and so kind to help! I was also introduced to the benefits of their Homeplus to protect and discount any other device breaks I have. I was astonished to find out that their Homeplus program can help me with any device I own. Kindness and knowledge went very far for me. I highly recommend the Cheektowaga store of western New York. Absolutely horrible experience. Made an appointment and figured it they didn't have the part to fix my phone, they would call me and let me know that beforehand but they did not. So I drove 36 minutes to find out they couldn't fix it because they have to order the part. The gentlemen at the store was super nice and said he could order it and took down all my information to do so. Said it would be 3-5 business days and they would call me when the part is in. After 2 weeks of them not calling, I called to see if they got the part. I was on hold for quite a while and was told by customer service (who isn't even at the store) that the part isn't there and I have to put 50% down for them to order it. That was not what the gentlemen at the store told me. I then asked to talk to someone at the actual store and was put on hold for another 5+ minutes then was hung up on, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nice work. I guess a fair price. I Needed a phone fixed and was told to bring it down. Just need the glass replaced. Phone worked except the entire glass was shattered. Get there and about 6 people standing in line outside. Waited almost 2 hours after I called. Told the rep. Both on the phone needed it today and they both said it would be done in 2 more hours and they would call me. I offered to pay about $80 and they said nope Gotta pay at the end. Ok. They called within 90 mins. Phone done come and get it. I get there another 2 hour wait outside inline. Paid and left. Everything and everyone was great. Wait sucked. Got to be a better way. 5 stars otherwise. read more

I was having a problem with the home button on my iPhone and thought it was gonna cost up to $90 to repair but they checked it out while I stood there and fixed the button and didn't even charge me because it was just a couple loose screws.
