Well, in case you've all been following along at home and wondered how this saga has gone with my phone. I was asked to call Asurion directly after leaving a review. I talked to a woman named Jennifer. I've talked with her no less than five times. She has assured me that she is working on my case she claims she can get no one to respond to her and she's unsure what to do next Jennifer's last statement was today June 19 telling me she would call me back before the end of her workday, which was 6 PM Pacific time. Guess what? I received no call back. My phone is still broken. The screen is not cracked. It's not been resealed correctly. Assure on will not make good on their warranty and Jennifer has not been able to resolve my problem. I was really hoping that I was going to be leaving a review that would tell you they stood behind the work that they did and they were a quality company. Unfortunately two weeks later and there has been no improvement at this point I will be going to Apple getting my phone fixed the right way and I will reach out to others and let them know that this company is not to be trusted. They cannot resolve your problems and by no means, should it take two weeks to resolve my issue when they did not seal the phone correctly for anyone wondering do not use any of these companies and I wish you all the best in repairing your cell phones. read more

I had a claim for a broken screen and was referred here by my carrier's repair plan. It turned out they just the screen protector was broken but we needed to change the claim which was proving difficult. I still received excellent service and the fix was fast and free due to the claim. I would definitely come here for any repair needs. read more

A two week repair took three months, after multiple phone calls and multiple excuses they told me my device was unrepairable. I took it in for water damage, other than that the device was in perfect condition. They returned it to me destroyed, it wouldn't shut properly, it had crack, you could see the components on the inside. They were too lazy to put back the screws. This establishment is a scam. So I hate giving low ratings but I definitely had a mixed experience with uBreakiFix. The staff and everyone was super friendly but the services have been lackluster, at least for me. I came in for, what I thought was a simple battery replacement for my iphone. Everything else about my phone was still fine, just my battery health was at like 75%. I was able to drop my phone off and just come back in a few hours and all would be better. The battery replacement cost like $110 so felt steep but I figured thats probably ballpark what to expect. Anyway, came back later, battery was replaced and all seemed great. Shortly after though the middle third of my screen was unresponsive to touch. No problem, I thought, just bring it back and have them look at it. They did and basically realized upon putting it back together and sealing it, the pressure inside somehow messed up the screen. So they now had to replace my whole screen with a third party one as thats all they'll cover without extra payment. Third party screen works but apparently uses more battery and is much less clear. So now im back to the same battery life due to a less efficient and clear screen. On top of that, just recently found out I can't record sound on my phone now so thats a fun new development. Overall, nice guys, possibly shoddy workmanship at least on apple products. Wish I just went straig but to apple but live and learn. read more

Made an appointment for 10am, right when they opened open. Somehow when I got there at 10 there were already 3 people ahead of me. Waited for 20 minutes in line, then left. What's the point of having people make an appointment? Frustrating. read more

My husband came in because he was having space issues on his desktop computer. For some reason he wasn't able to add or remove programs from the computer and it was giving an error. We called and they said they could see him immediately, so we went down in about 15 minutes. He dropped off a desktop and was quoted $109. the next day, we called to check the status, and they hadn't started it yet. This angered me a little since my husband is a gamer and really needed this back. However... After purchasing the $25 warranty, his computer was then fixed in five minutes?? Everything's working well, no real issues. I come back here. Parking is extremely annoying and limited but the place was easy to find off Bethel. read more

I was dooped into purchasing the Asurian insurance plan being told they repair / replace home items. I have a home theater item they said "we don't cover projectors" then I had a keyboard for my iPad that is for some reason "not covered" even though it specifically says "Keyboards" on their list and says "home theater ". BEWARE OF SCAM!! We were unknowingly signed up for home owners insurance through Asurion. We dropped off our PC on Monday and were told they would look at it and call us next Monday. On Tuesday we received an email thanking us for signing up for Asurion home owners insurance and we would be charged $30 per month! We were not told this but had been given a brochure when we checked out. This is a complete scam. We returned to the store today and asked that the unwanted charges be reversed and the policy cancelled. They said they couldn't, that we would have to call Asurion ourselves to cancel. Like I have time for this!! If you use this service be aware of this before you check out. read more

We went to get the HDMI port fixed and was given back a PS5 in worse shape. To be honest, I am not sure if it is even the same PS5. The woman got very defensive when we returned after picking up our "repaired PS5". She even told us to leave. She said it was working when we picked it up. I recently bought a new cellphone from the nearest Spectrum Mobile store in Columbus. They didn't seem to have cases or screen protectors for the phone that I purchased so I got them online but could not install them myself. I took them over to the UBreakiFix store on Bethel Rd in Columbus and they installed the case and screen protector in less than 5 minutes and charged me nothing for doing that. They were really busy that day also. read more

Got a broken phone screen replaced under AT&T warranty. These guys were open on Sunday, scheduling right on their site, did the repair in about an hour, and even fixed the sound on another phone for me while I was picking up. Excellent experience, will use them again, I'm sure. read more

Tried everywhere to get iphone phone LCD and lens fixed. Micro Center across the street from their location recommended these nice people to fix while we wait. Quick service, great work and decent price. No appointment needed and knew exactly what I needed when I walked in. I took an old laptop in to the Reno location to get an upgraded hard drive. The person doing the work was helpful and patient with me, a near-total computer illiterate. Being happy with that result, I took a newer laptop in to get it upgraded. A different technician at the shop was was helpful and advised me that this newer laptop did not need an upgrade and suggested I contact my ISP to check on the bandwidth they were providing me. read more

I went in with a cracked screen and they replaced it really quickly. They also found a piece of wood (probably mulch) in my charging port and took it out so I'm able to charge it again. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was thinking of trading in my phone but now I feel like mine is basically back to new so I can hold off. This is my saga with ubreakIfix (soon to be Asurion) on Bethel Rd. in Columbus OH. My experience with them was terrible. They get one star because that is the min the site allows. It should be minus 100. My iPhone needed a battery. I thought this should be a simple matter that any phone repair place could easily do. I found this company online and they have a very nice website, and you can make an appointment on the website which I did on Monday June 5th. I made it for the next day. The website asked what kind of repair was needed and the model of the phone. Tuesday: I received an e-mail from them in the morning reminding me of my 2:00 appointment. I had been working in the garage, so I had to get cleaned up and change out of my dirty clothes to go to the appointment. When I got there I was told they did not have the battery in stock and they would have to order it and would notify me when it was in. Doesn't it seem like they could have called me before the appointment since they knew the model of phone I had, and that the repair needed was a battery? Thursday: received a text from them saying that the battery was in and I could bring the phone in at any time. I did so and left it with them for a while. When I came back they told me the new battery was working fine, but when they changed it, they broke my screen. They said they would need to order me a screen and that I would not be charged for the screen, but I did have to pay for the battery. They gave me 10% off after I complained & told them about the problem on the first day, in that I got an e-mail reminder to keep the appointment, and then they did not have the battery in stock. They said that the problem is with corporate & corporate causes them a lot of problems. So the charge was $106. They said the screen should be in the next day and they would call me. I took my phone with the broken screen. It was not cracked but had light-colored vertical lines from top to bottom. The phone then displayed two pop-ups labeled "important camera message". One said, "unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part". The other one said the same thing about the battery. Of course they weren't even fixing the camera so why would there be a problem with the camera? The next day, I found that the battery was not holding a charge the way I thought a new battery should. The battery was dead by around 6:00 o'clock in the evening. I was not using the phone a lot and I felt that with a new battery it should hold a charge for two or three days. I decided at this point that I was not going to trust them to touch my phone again and I made an appointment with the Apple store For Tuesday June 13 to check the Phone. I had a feeling that ubreakIfix would never call me & they did not, but I called them on Tuesday to ask if the new screen had come in. They said that it had and I could bring the phone in, and they would put the new screen in. I asked them if I could just pick up the screen and take it since I decided to get my phone fixed another way. They said yes, and I picked up the screen. Then I went to the Apple store. The Apple store did diagnostics on my phone and said it had a lot of problems. They said only one of the three lenses was working on the camera. And the battery was inferior. Also, the cellular RF was not working properly. They felt that this was caused by the problems with the battery install. They said they see a lot of problems, of this nature, with some of the shops that repair phones. They said that sometimes when these shops have the phones opened up they take out the Apple parts, such as the parts with the camera, and put in their own inferior parts. Then they have the Apple parts to sell. Of course, we do not know if ubreakIfix did this. My phone, an iPhone 12 mini, was only two years old, and it was just about ruined. Apple said to fix my phone it would be around $400, and they recommended that I buy a new phone. I got a new iPhone 13 mini. It has more storage and updated features, but it was $645 including the new phone cover & They gave me $55 trade in on my old phone. So now with the $106 charge at the ubreakIfix store I am down $751 and all I originally needed was a new battery. So, if you have any problem with your iPhone go to the Apple store. Do not go to ubreakIfix. I dealt with three workers at ubreakIfix, and they were never pleasant. At times they were borderline rude. read more

Took $60 from me without checking whether or not my damn camera worked. Once I had them charge my phone to see if it actually f***ing worked, they told me my camera was broken and just needs to be changed entirely, with an additional cost for them to change my camera AND the camera screen they already fixed. I wanted to put a new battery in my old iPhone 8 before I send it to my Brother-in-law. I dropped it off on Wednesday October 7th. In the mid morning. I got a text in about two hours telling me it was done. I wasn't in a hurry so I picked it up on my way home on October 8th. They did a quick and great job for around $50.00. The gentleman took my phone in back and returned 10 minutes later telling me that the port was fine, it was just filled with dirt and lint causing a barrier between the charge. I'm not upset, I'm just disappointed. About two years ago I brought in my laptop, a Dell XPS 13 9365, because it suddenly stopped working. Admittedly, I used an incorrect charger for this device, and it worked that way for a year before eventually not wanting to operate correctly. I relayed this information to the tech, left my laptop there for a day, and was told it was unfixable, needing a new motherboard. So I ended up buy a new laptop, and for the last two years this laptop has been collecting dust. Well I've recently gotten into electronics repair myself, and discover that this laptop still did turn on, and, what is more, the only issue with it was the SSD was bad. Only $75 for a new one, I installed it, computer works great now, and I made some good money on it by selling it. In conclusion, I don't think this is a shady establishment. I don't think that they don't know what they're doing. I feel like they were more than polite, and offer good pricing. I think it may have just been a simple mistake. However, I've learned to always check things for myself, because even professionals can make mistakes. read more

My phone battery couldn't last more than 20 minutes without powering off so I clearly needed a new battery. I called uBreakiFix, talked to Zachary and he walked me through what I would need to do to secure the last battery they had in stock for my phone. The replacement took two hours. When I returned, Zachary had replaced my battery and almost eight hours later (as I type this review) I still have a 55% charge (Amazing!) Zachary was polite, informative and thorough. Been going here for ages. I have always been satisfied. I had a small problem with a repair one time a few years back and they rectified it at no charge. When I damaged the phone the case was slightly bent, so the screen they put on wasn't quite fitting right but they straightened the case and everything looked fine. Their pricing is the same as going to the Apple Store, without all the hassle of having to make an appointment sometime in the future, and deal with Easton parking or Polaris traffic just to get a battery replaced. You just walk in, and in a couple of hours you've got your phone back. They are of course respecting COVID-19 protocols. I highly recommend this place. read more

disappointed I showed up on time for my appointment. Waited 15 minutes outside with people outside in the COVID-19 environment as I was forced to wait for my appointment. Went inside finally for my appointment to drop off my old phone. Was informed I could not have a repair, because I did not have a SIM/plan for the phone. I wanted a battery replacement. I use this device for watching tv/movies, and the phone calls and messaging work fine on WiFi. But without a valid SIM card and billed plan, I was informed I could not have a repair. I wasted 40+ minutes of gas and more than that on time for a repair. This is absolute garbage. read more
