I've been using Batteries Plus Bulbs since it was just Batteries Plus. This is a great location to find any kind of battery -- whether it's a common AA / AAA / etc. or if it's some hard to find, odd battery for an older camera, etc. Their knowledge and selection of batteries is excellent. My most visit reason for visiting Batteries Plus Bulbs was to dispose of some old florescent bulbs. Having recently redone the ceiling in my kitchen and replacing the old florescent fixtures with new LED fixtures, I had a box that contained both new and old tubes. Legally, you're not supposed to dispose of florescent tubes in the trash and finding a facility that was willing to take the bulb for recycling was a little challenging. After doing an internet search, I found that Batteries Plus Bulbs did recycle florescent bulbs -- for a fee. The fee was reasonable and I loaded my old florescent tubes in the car and they were safety disposed of by the folks at Batteries Plus Bulbs. So if you need to buy batteries or bulbs or if you need to properly dispose of CFL or florescent bulbs -- Batteries Plus Bulbs is a great place to go. read more

Very impressed with the staff at this establishment, especially the manager, Mark. I had my battery replaced here last Sunday and apparently there was a power surge during the installation, which caused a fuse to blow. I noticed it before I left there as my key fob, my windows, wipers etc were not working. Mark sent me to a local auto repair shop, offered to pay my out of pocket expense, and even called the establishment to make sure I would be taken care of. Unfortunately, the repair shop over charged me for what turned out to be s blown fuse. Mark reimbursed me on the spot. Don't go to the Batteries Plus store near I-70 and Brice Road (the store located near the former J.C. Penney Outlet, later re-opened as JCStar Outlet, which also recently closed). I had Batteries Plus install watch batteries in two wristwatches. I put on one of them then noticed a couple of days later that my wrist started itching. I removed the watch, rinsed and dried my wrist, and wiped off and dried the wristwatch. Then, my wrist started to itch more intensely over the next few days. I pulled off the wristwatch and I ran my finger along the back and sides of the watch. The surfaces which had been smooth prior to the battery installations were now 'rough' and full of tiny sharp metal, along the back and sides of the watch case. Upon further examination, I discovered that both watches had been etched and scratched. I ran a new nylon stocking over the areas and it snagged badly on both wristwatches. Not only that but the sides' finish was chipped really bad from the damage and impaired the nice finish the watches had prior to the battery replacements. Also, the Batteries Plus installer mustn't have had a clue that on one wristwatch he first had to remove four tiny little screws BEFORE prying off the watch backing. He could easily have removed the screws without causing damage. I found this totally incredulous, but note that I am certain there was no damage to this area prior to the battery installation. I phoned the manager of this store and described the situation, but he was already trying to say that his installer couldn't have scratched up my wristwatches. He thought it was probably just wear prior to the battery installation. I never had problems with either watch before this, though. He said to bring the watches in, but couldn't pinpoint when he would be in the store, not even a particular day he'd be there. I was very nice when I returned with the watches to Batteries Plus to explain my visit back to Batteries Plus after having spoken to the manager by phone, who was not there that day. The explained the situation again to the manager's assistant, and he examined both watches. However, he was adamant that his store employee could not have caused damage to both wristwatches. I told this assistant manager (A.M.) that I didn't want them to replace the watches, just that I wanted them file the rough edges smooth so my skin wasn't irritated (as described above). I told them that if they would just file the rough edges I could at least get some use out of them. The assistant manager (A.M.) refused saying I had caused the damage. Now let me be clear about this: before I took the watches in I had left the watches on my wrists for several days as a kind of reminder to stop and get batteries. Never had a single problem with any irritation, itching or skin rash from wearing the watches in the days prior to the battery installation. I told the A.M. this, but I could see by his facial expression that he neither would budge from his position nor would he tell me when I could meet face with the manager of this store. He told me to leave the watches with him. I refused and left with both wristwatches. Poor customer service is one thing, but damage, without satisfactory restitution, is quite another. I would not recommend that anyone get their watch batteries installed at Batteries Plus. read more

I had a watch battery replaced at the High Street location about a month ago. Now there is condensation inside and mold growing on my watch face. I was told since bought the more expensive option I did not need a receipt and they would keep it on file. When I went in asking for help, the kid behind the counter told me he wouldn't touch it and I should have read my receipt because now my watch isn't waterproof and it was my fault. I said I was not given a receipt and he got huffy and walked away. Another employee then said I had to talk to the manager who was not there. He is only there during the week. After telling him I could not come in at that time, this second employee told me to take time off from work if I wanted help. I will never go back and wish I could give negative stars. I went into batteries plus after I dropped my iphone6+ and busted the screen. I wanted to get it fixed right away. I took my phone into this location, when I entered no one greeted me. The gentleman that finally greeted me was so rude. He took my phone, looked at it closely, told me it might take more than an hour if they get busy!?? What?? If you get busy you are going to stop working on my phone to help someone that walks in after me. I was cringing at the customer service I was receiving, I wanted to get my phone fixed so not to cause more damage. He told me by Batteries Plus replacing the screen, it would void any warranty left on the phone. In addition to that the charge was going to be $169.00 plus tax! That is when I listened to my gut and asked for my phone back. Poor customer service, voiding any warranty. Yelp friends~if you are fixing an iPhone screen, take it to the Apple Store. I had my Samsung Galaxy S6 back screen replaced and charging port replaced. The Technician and store staff were very understanding and friendly. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, considering the Sprint store wanted $350 for the charging port and another $125 for back glass. Another $100 I could buy a new phone. Crazy. I am not sure but I believe that the store also replaced front glass too, Because scratches were completely gone. I would totally recommend this store for any of your repairs. Thanks guys read more

My iPhone battery was degraded at around 79%, I heard about getting a replacement one so my phone would last longer. I went into the store and got the replacement within 30 minutes. Right when I got my phone back, I checked the battery health and it said 100%. I used my phone (around 3-4 hours a day) for 11 days. I curiously checked my battery life as I noticed my phone already died fast. The health was at 92% in just 11 days!!!! My old battery had 79% in a period of 2 years. What I am getting at here is this is not a genuine apple battery. It must be a fake, cheap battery. I returned to the store and demanded a refund. They did not have my old battery(somewhat expected) so I told them to just return my money back and take the battery out. I might mention the employees here were extremely rude. While I argued politely for a refund, they started telling me(what seemed like a bunch of lies) as to why my battery degraded so fast. After around 10 minutes of arguing i was able to get my refund back. They took my battery out of my phone( took around 40 minutes), and i returned home. I ordered an ifixit battery replacement kit(DIY) and eventually managed to replace my battery. I have had this battery for around 2 months, and my battery health still shows 100%. My phone keeps its charged like it came straight out of the factory. I am extremely unhappy with the cheap batteries, poor customer service, and trouble I had to go through with batteries plus, and I will certainly never return again. read more

This Batteries Plus location is super. Every employee was considerate to every customer that walked in. Each was very patient, very helpful, gave options to the customer and was up front about cost options. I went to this store because I had a battery that died two days before and was checked by AAA, then given the okay. However, for the next two days my car was "hesitant" in starting. It was during the days just before the new year in persistent frigid temps. I went to Batteries Plus to have it checked again. Netta took care of me and listened, understood my "story" and checked out the battery. It seemed okay but she went above and beyond to do an additional check. The second test showed battery power dropped significantly when additional power-drawing items were added, as in a radio, cell phone charger, heat, etc. The battery needed replaced and Netta took care of that as well. I was in and out with my new battery in under an hour. If I ever need that kind of car service again or for any batteries or bulbs, this Batteries Plus will be my first stop. DO NOT TAKE A WATCH HERE TO GET BATTERY CHANGED!!! Unless you are okay with the back being scratched up! I took my coach watch here for the first time ever thinking it would be okay it's just a battery change right? NOPE! They scratched and took pieces out of my watch while attempting to get back off! The manager thought he was doing me a favor by telling me a few times he wouldn't charge me for the battery! ( Eye roll). The watch was pretty much new when I took it into the store! They sent it out to a local jewelry shop for repair, the fix wasn't too bad but it was still not restored to the original condition it was brought into the store. Spoke with a manager about the watch once it was back to see my options since my watch was still not in the shape it should be, I was offered a flat $150 because they found it online for this. I said well what about tax or what the total the watch will cost at check out, at this point the manager was soooo rude and got an attitude over tax! I was just asking granite it's only $10 for tax BUT WHY should I be put out and have to spend more money on something the store messed up????? The girl that even helped me said coach watch backs are hard to get off! Then I should have been told they can't do it and to try another place! They tried about 40times with a razor to get it open!
