I recently filed a claim with my insurance company Akko and they required me to visit one of their repair centers before they would process my claim. They advised that I needed to have one of the specialists at uBreakiFix assess the phone and provide a quote or diagnostic report via email. I made an appointment online and walked into the store yesterday evening. I was greeted by a helpful gentleman named Markkel and I explained my situation. I told him what I needed and he told me based on my own assessment of what the issue could be. It was deemed unrepairable which is all the insurance company needed. Markkel then told me he would send me that diagnostic report via email shortly. There were a few other patrons that entered the store that were waiting for support / pickup of their device. I told him thank you and I received the email shortly after my visit once I got home. Markkel was super chill and helpful give him my situation with my phone. This review is long overdue! Broke the screen of my cell phone one night. We will leave it at that. LOL I was not judged when I showed them my so broken phone. I thought it was not repairable but they gave me hope. A few hours later it looked brand new! Pros: -Instant quote on repair -Non judgmental on you item no matter how bad it looks -Fairly priced -I did sign up for the Asurion + plan this covers most of my electronics in my home to be repaired if needed. So far, it has come in handy but to read through the contract carefully -Repair only took a few hours -Did have to come back for a backordered part but again repair was done quickly -Customer service was very helpful and efficient Cons: -I do hate this parking lot but if you are just dropping off and picking up they do have a 15 minute parking zone up front. I was dumb and my iPhone slipped out of my hand and slapped straight down on the ground. Very, very cracked. Several lines on the right side of the screen. I thought I would need a new phone. But hey, first I'll try this place. Google told me it was cheaper than other screen repair stores. I went at 5 pm on a Friday and it was very quiet. The quote online is about $130. I got mine repaired for $105. I was told it would be done in an hour and 15 minutes. Instead it was all repaired in about 40 minutes. Easy, peasy. Nice staff. Quick and efficient. read more

Took my sons Nintendo switch to them. The guy said they would have it fixed in a week. I called a week later and a guy said oh the parts just came in and it will be ready over the weekend. I called today and another guy answered and said oh we have to order parts for it knowing I was already told the parts have come in. The guy told me that it would be ready this coming Monday. Well about an hour later I get a call saying to come get it. The guy on the phone got and attitude with me blaming me and telling me all kinds of nonsense. Dropped off PS4 to have them fix. Two weeks pass. I call to ask for an update and they say they don't see anything wrong. The machine is clearly lagging but they saw nothing which means they didn't even look. Don't use this place . Total waste of time. The employees don't even appear to be tech savvy. read more

Called in the day before to confirm my service and place a claim, employee walked me through everything and gave estimates for replacement costs. Took phone in for a simple screen repair. They put in a new screen apparently but the phone would not work, had to go get a new phone because they said it was unrepairable. It was a simple screen replacement. Cost over $700. Beware of this place. Poor employee communication also. read more

This company was recommended by Best Buy to repair a damaged charging port on a new Dell laptop. I dealt with two different staff members -- one was friendly but incompetent; the other was surly, rude, indifferent and unprofessional. If you want to be treated like crap you can either go to the Department of Motor Vehicles -- or this place. Everything about the Frederick, Maryland location is just SO MUCH BETTER -- professional, friendly, knowledgeable and every team member in that location actually acts like they give a damn. read more

I was told they were not able to fix my phone since the back was slightly cracked....so I went to Zagg in crowne and they fixed it perfectly within 1.5 hours for $150. The employee basically told me to get a new phone. The consultation took a total of 3 mins. So no....would not recommend. Go to zagg. read more

screen fixed aside the whole experience was zero stars for sure. I go in on a Monday asking if they can fix my phone and even asked if it mattered if if my phone was 5g or not. the guy I spoke with said yes they have the screen and it being 5g or not doesn't matter, he then tells me it'll be fixed by three that day. I call around 3 or 4 and turns out they never even did it because the screen they needed they didn't have available. no one called me to let me know. so they say they can order the screen and have it done Wednesday. I call Wednesday morning and they say the screen is coming in between 10 and 12 and it should be done by 2ish. I call at almost 3 and they tell me it'll be done before six, that it hasnt been done yet. I'm mad I complain about them giving me the run around but whatever call me if it's done sooner. and then magically i get a text saying it's ready at 345? and best they could do is give me 7 bucks off. it was all just so annoying, inconvenient, and frustrating. most expensive headache ive ever paid for, will never go here again. read more

I dropped a phone off for a simple replacement of a cracked screen. I have returned twice over two days and the phone is still not repaired. Each time I have walked in, the associate has mumbled, "Oh. I should have done that earlier." The associate provided no explanation about why the phone wasn't repaired, what needed to be done, or when it would be ready. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS LOCATION.
