Pay $400 for original Apple parts to have my screen replaced or Purchase an Asiurion home plus insurance where I pay $25 to cover all of my electronics plus $25-$100 deductible per item. I thought it might be too good to be true, but I went with purchasing the insurance. When it was time to file my claim, it went quick and smooth and just as they said. I paid the $99 deductible, I gave them my laptop, model, and serial number, they ordered the part which only took about two days to come in. I brought in my laptop on the same day and it was ready to pick up in about three hours. My laptop looks brand new. The staff communicates well and timely. They are friendly and helpful. Brought in a broken iPhone screen. The guy was aloof --not friendly and could care less --ya know when you just know you're not gonna get a good deal--then he quoted $220 for screen repair but if I get the membership for $40/mo (minimum 2 months) I can get it for $140, so that's $220 also. The whole experience felt off so I left. The next day I found Smart Fix on Tenaya who did it in an hour for $116 with tax! Much friendlier guy too. read more

I went to the W. Charleston store the store had no customers. I asked a few questions about my phone the only person working out front said it would be $80.00 to tell me the model number thats a good reason why I was the only potential customer. I took a 2 in 1 laptop to get fixed because the screen was falling off on one side. As soon as I got it back I noticed something was wrong as the device no longer held charge and only worked if plugged in so I went back and they corrected the issue. But upon fixing that they messed up the other side where the screen connects. Now the other side is falling apart. The screw that should be holding the device together doesn't tighten anymore but I will not go back here. Additionally, the fan now runs all the time while in use and it is extremely loud which is nothing like it originally was before taking it to this store. It would have been better and much easier to get a brand new device instead. read more

If I could give zero stars i would. Spoke to Brian Hinge on my laptop broke and took it in on the 23rd of September was told 5-7 days for part delivery and paid the $216 deposit. They waited 2 days to even order the part. A week later I call for an update and am told "today or tomorrow". Another week later, I'm told the part may not arrive until the 18th (nearly a MONTH later). I know they cannot control shipping times but they can control timely ordering of parts and set reasonable timeline expectations with the customer so they can decide if they want to proceed. My laptop needed work. When I dropped it off I asked if they wanted me to leave the power cord with it, and they said "sure." I noticed they didn't include the power cord as an accessory when I dropped it off, and asked about it. "Victor" told me because it wasn't like a mouse or something, it didn't need to be included on the ticket. So guess what? When they gave the laptop back to me 2 and a half weeks later, no power cord. I asked about it. They said it wasn't listed on the ticket as an accessory when dropped off. I relayed the info I was given at drop-off time. They said they would "look for it" and get back to me. So I don't even know if my laptop got fixed because I don't have a power cord to try it. They never got back to me either. I had put my name on the power cord. I never even knew what this place was until i cracked my phone, and AT&T told me to pop in. It takes about 2-3 hours for them to fix a cracked screen, but when you get it back, its brand spankin new! I was shocked because i legit thought my phone was toast. The man who helped me was very patient with me. He had great customer service and even emailed me to tell me when my phone was ready. I suggest you go in earlier in the day to have it back the same day. If you go after 3:30/4, they might have to keep it overnight. My only suggestion is to have better magazines in the waiting area. Be aware!! Before you bring your units into the store for repairs, make sure you read this. I brought my Xbox in perfect condition to the store for repair due to the hard drive being defective. When I picked up the unit today, the bottom cover was loosening, and it couldn't close 100%. They said they are not the manufacturer, so they are not responsible for any damage during the repair according to the store manager Ray. They should have informed me first before I hand over the machine to them. Now I have a not perfect Xbox unit sitting in my room. I do not recommend them to anyone! read more

Well since I go my cellphone back from my first visit, has not been the same. Then I went back for them to fix the issue and all I got was excuses and that it was my fault, that it didn't happen there at that location. Which again same lame service dropped the phone off was given a time of 2pm the next day and did not get an invoice or receipt again, so I called ahead and to see if the phone was ready and was not. Was told by 3:15pm and got the call around 3pm, picked up the phone and it looked like they just ran systems check. Told them the issues and they said they reset the phone, which it help with the touch but not the battery life. Since the beginning I have asks to see the old parts and they refused to show them, cause now I am thinking they never replaced the old battery cause it runs low quick. Won't be going back to this place and going to let Samsung and Asurion to investigate/audit this location or maybe all to make sure there not scamming customers. So make sure you ask for your invoice/receipt showing what they are going to do and also ask to see parts change/replace cause this is not right. Cause if they replace them parts whats the harm in showing what they change out, simple. Plus if you work on someone's CPhone clean it and return it to the customers like new/spotless, not with tape, fingers prints, Smudges and adhesives. They utilize low quality products for iPhone screen replacement. I had my screen replaced in February by March It had cracked with NO Impact. I had it in my purse with a Lifeproof case on. When you go on their website they state they have a 90 day guarantee. Not for screen replacements. - although it states for all services. When I go to the store they are not able to tell me what the brand, manufacturer or what the name of the company is that they utilize to replace iPhone screens. All they say is that they are "premium" parts. Yet no one knows who makes them. I have to fix my phone once again so I pay an additional $130 for another screen with the $10 off discount. Also I replace my back that was a bit cracked for another 100.. now I've spent $410 with them with two screen replacements and one back replacement with the additional warranty they sell to bump you to the front of the line.. Why do I go here again. Because they offered same day service. I will trade my phone in now so the CHEAP parts didn't matter to me anymore. I can't keep my phone due to me being afraid next month my phone will crack again. Also managers were not helpful/understanding. The girl at the check out dismissed everything I said until I ask to speak to the manager- who said the same thing and just gave a $10 discount. When I call the corporate they tell you to contact the store.. no one can tell you or WONT tell you what parts they use. Cracked screen and needed it repair. They had to order the correct screen for my phone. Apparently Samsung is very strict. They kept me updated the entire process as far as ordering and when to return to the store. Repair took a couple hours but that seems to be the norm. Price was about $250 so cheaper than a new phone. The do work with some insurance companies. In my case it was just easier to submit the receipt after the fact. Hopefully I won't need their services again but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to return. read more

Just noting. Samsung repair price is lower then store price by about $30. Even using the Samsung.com referral system for in store repair. I suggest getting quotes directly from stores. The Samsung web site quotes prices, but they are not what the Ubreak fix store will charge you. So expect it to cost more by $30 for a screen repair on a Galaxy Samsung S22 Ultra 5 at a Daytona beach store. $289 online and with local store repair $319 when calling local store to confirm repair and pricing. I did not get the feeling that the battery and bezel would be replaced as is noted on the Samsung web site. So those my be extra charges by the local store. Store clerk was very friendly on phone. Thus the 3 stars. Pricing is way off though. read more

Came to fix cracked front screen for my iPhone. After replacing it worker never told me that the screen that's being replaced would cover my Face ID. After telling them the issue they wanted me to pay more for them to find out why when they installed it. I should've been told prior of what would happen before making the $150 purchase. I brought my phone into At&t becauae I couldnt get into my phone with my pin because the ok button ia not lit up and the inner screen needs to be replaced. At&t helped me to file a claum with you break it I fix it by Asurion and assured me they would fix it. So I brought my phone there. They had my phone for 4 hours, and when I went to pick up my phone they all acted as if they had fixed the problem. I get home and yes I can get into my phone with biometrics, but the original problem that I had brought my phone in to be fixed for DID NOT GET FIXED.!!!!!!! and now I cant get into my phone again. They never mentioned that they did nit fux the original problem and that using my biometrics to get in would be a temporary fix. I DO NOT/WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE EVER FOR ANYTHING. So I have brought my devices here before and never had an issue, but my mind was changed this morning. Yesterday, I brought my computer in for a little problem with the hinge. Didn't seem to be anything serious, something had just moved out of place and needed to be put back in. Had my husband drop off my computer while I was working. The employee looked at it and quoted my husband a $150 fee for the repair because "a part likely needed to be replaced" and they would run a diagnostic over the next four hours to see if anything else was wrong. I should note we intentionally left the computer open when it was dropped off because starting to close it was seemingly breaking my device, and we mentioned this to the employee. Came back to get my computer this morning and THIS is what it looks like. It's been forced closed, which is exactly what we were attempting to avoid. The hinge is basically off, so the top (screen) of my computer no longer lines up with the bottom (keyboard). We can see damage inside the hinge that was not there before, and small pieces of plastic keep falling out of my computer. Furthermore, they didn't tell us anything new when we picked it up, so it's weird they wanted to keep it for hours. Understandably, I'm pretty livid. I don't expect to be back anytime in the future, and I recommend you stay away too. read more

So, if you're using their services... you cracked, shattered or broke or want updates or installation. I myself shattered my iPad screen. Upon recommendation, I took my poor taped up screen of an iPad to this business. I was a little worried that removing the screen might cause other damage like wiring and functionality. However, I put my trust in uBreakiFix that their experience was top notch! I went in, they set up and ordered the replacement screen and in 2 days it arrived. They made it look brand new! It works just as it did prior and it wasn't an arm and a leg price wise. The staff were very attentive and pleasant the entire process. I would recommend them to anyone for repair services. I first made an appointment at the Henderson location to get the internal screen protector replaced on my Fold4, but when I arrived the day of the appointment, I was told the the only tech that performed those replacements was off on the weekends, and to come back Monday (if that was the case, why did you confirm my appointment?). So, I drove 35 minutes across town (after calling to confirm the repair could be completed) to the West LV location. I dropped off the phone and was told it would take 2 1/2 hours "since they have a special machine to do the replacement" (is it a machine or a specialized tech like the other store told me?). I was told it would be covered under warranty, but then told it wasn't covered since there were air bubbles (you know, the very reason I needed it replaced...). I paid and proceeded to drive home (35 minutes away), waited an hour, then drove back to the store (another 35 minute drive). When I arrived, I was told the replacement was not done because my phone was in the wrong mode (the tech who took my phone didn't say anything about it needing to be in a particular mode, nor did they check apparently). He proceeded to ask me to come back another day. At this point, I had spent almost 4 hours trying to get this done, and since I had already paid for the service, I demanded it be done, letting him know I would wait. He took the phone back and not more than 10 minutes later, he was back out with the screen protector replaced. Why did you make me drive back and forth (I mentioned the previous hassle and the distance up front) for a service that could be completed so quickly? A pure lack of competence, concern and customer service. Horrible experience all around. read more

This place was excellent for pricing, service and overall great. I messaged around online to fix the broken screen on my ipad. Since it busted the antenna, it was much more expensive. Apple care is a joke. This place did it for $300 vs the $500 that apple wanted to charge. They also sold me on the Assure plan for $25 monthly to cover most of the electronics in our home. You really can't beat their prices on repairs. They're very thorough on the process, organized and professional. They said it would be ready in 3 days. This is for a repair I got a few months ago, before the pandemic: After accidentally cracking my work phone's screen (an iPhone 8), I was desperate to get a replacement. Fortunately my company had some kind of plan set up with uBreakiFix, I was told just to drop the phone off and get it fixed, with no money out of my pocket, and our accounting department would call and handle the charge. Just dropping off the phone took north of half an hour, first waiting for an eternity behind a clerk helping walk someone else through the various rates they had, then going through what felt like a bizarrely long set of clicks and paperwork, watching the uBreakiFix video ads on the wall loop for maybe the one millionth time. Came back to pick up my repaired phone later that day, only to soon discover soon after that the iPhone's proximity sensor (which detects when the phone is held up to your ear so your phone is turned off) was damaged in the process. Returned again to request another repair (which, to their credit, they did no more questions asked and at no additional charge) only to leave with a phone screen that slowly started turning blue over the next month. After the third time my screen was finally replaced, with no apparent further issues and no extra cost, but plenty of lost hours waiting in line. read more
