This past weekend, I was once again very pleased with their great and friendly service.

I was referred here as the only place that could perform certain tests on Samsung phones. I dropped my phone off, and was told there was no charge for diagnostics. They said they did not know how long it would take, but to check back in an hour or two. I had lunch at the taqueria next door and checked back. I asked how the progress was on my phone, and they said they hadnt started it yet. They were incorrect, there WAS a diagnostic charge, and I could pay it right then. I said, how much was the charge, they said $40. I said, no thank you, and asked for my phone back. They seemed incredulous that I wanted my phone back. I will not be going back. If Tech Heroes cant do it, it doesnt need to be done. read more

Laptop hinge broke and was told they'd need to replace the entire back panel. Started great- was told about a week to confirm what parts were needed, got an update in a few days. Was told about a week for parts to arrive & then maybe another week for repairs. Called a little over 2 weeks for update. Was told they hadn't even opened box & they would contact me next day with update. I called 2 days later & was told wrong part was ordered, but corrected order was on its way. I had to call weekly for an update as they could never give me a straight answer on part status nor even a rough ETA. In total 5 weeks went by when I was finally told they couldn't get the right part. The last 3 weeks were frustrating as I felt I was getting the run around. read more

Only bring your phone here if you want to pay for an expensive repair, have the repair not work, have to argue the repair didn't fix the issue, get told their fix couldn't possibly have caused the new issues I am experiencing, get told you have to leave your phone there for 3-5 business days or it won't be in their "queue", and then ultimately have to purchase a new phone. UBreakIBreakMore WARNING: Do NOT Bring your phone here unless you want them to destroy it. I brought my phone here in July simply to get a cracked screen replaced. They said I should come back in two hours, so I came back in three hours and it still wasn't completed. I came back a half hour later and finally picked it up. Shortly after I got in my car, the phone died and I couldn't turn it back on. So I brought it back in and had them try again. I really don't know what they did, but I picked it up and it seemed to work fine. The very next day, the phone starts going completely haywire, flashing these crazy weird colors constantly so that I couldn't read anything, like it was trying to give me a seizure or something. So I brought it in again so they could try to fix it a *third* time. I picked it up three hours later and they said it was all fixed and good to go. But now the volume is only about half of what it normally should be (I did a test with my girlfriends phone and proved this to be true). The phone itself no longer works so that I only use it on speakerphone. Half the apps don't work because they just sit there loading but never actually open. The apps that do work take forever to load, such as mail, or my banking app. The screen is super hyper sensitive so that if I try clicking on an app, it asks me if I want to delete it - literally every single time. The map function just completely freezes constantly, which is an incredible hassle and frustration given that I drive all over the state for my job. And overall the phone is absolutely nothing like it originally was. These people are completely incompetent and have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They completely destroyed my phone and now I need to buy a new one. Do not come to this place if you value your electronic items. They have no idea what they're doing and the cost will be on you. read more

Very disappointed that the team here is not properly trained. They are not able to give an accurate quote on an iPhone repair and wasted over an hour of my time. I brought my phone in and they quoted me one price that I agreed to and an hour later when I returned to pick up my phone they had doubled the price due to an employee error. Please work on training your staff and when an error like this is made you should own your mistake and not waste a potentials customers time. It is not the customers fault when a team member of yours makes a mistake. read more

This company is a drop spot for the Asurion home appliance/electronics insurance company. Took in a MacBook Pro for a simple battery replacement. They ruined the laptop. Simple process, yet they broke it. Spent all day on the phone with Asurion. Did the manager bother to bring the ruined laptop out when I went to go get it? Nope. Never, ever bring your stuff here. UPDATE: number is a joke. Called and was pointedly useless. Literally just a tele-grunt who instructs you to fill out a feedback form. If you have an issue with this place you have to deal with Asurion. Run from this garbage dump, or better yet, let your dog have a run at fixing your stuff, it will do better. read more

I don't know what happened to this place. Used to be great. When you make an appointment you put in what kind of tech you need help with so it "looks like" they actually can do the repair. Then when you go into the shop, you find out they can't do it or that it will take an unreasonable amount of time. The person I interacted with did.not.care to help really - could not care less maybe is a better way to put it. I can't recommend them any more which is sad. Maybe they changed hands or something. Another thing - their system does not have a way to cancel your appointment; weirdly, you can change it but not cancel it. They take walk ins so not sure why the appointment is needed anyway. read more

Took my laptop into UBreakifix in Janesville on a Friday and they said they could have the battery changed by the following Wednesday, Saturday at the latest. The Sunday after arrives and they tell me that the tech put screws through my computer while attaching the battery. I tell them to keep it while I am on vacation. I come back 2 weeks later and they don't have it done. They then call me a couple of hours later to tell me it is done. I go to get it and the keyboard and mouse pad don't work. They assure me a "keyboard specialist" will look at it-in a couple of days when they are at that location. All told they had my computer for almost a month, had me travel in multiple times only to find out it wasn't fixed, and STILL charged me over $100. I wouldn't let them change batteries on my flashlight let alone work on any of my electronics. Ever. Go some place, any place, else. read more

Thur, June 4,: Print UPS label from email they sent me. Fri, June 5: Take phone in package to UPS and send out. Mon, June 8: Received by LANG at 10:11 AM. Tues, June 9: No contact. Tried their "Track Repair" on their website using repair number sent in email. Get a message: "We could not find that repair. Please make sure you have typed in the tracking code correctly." Tried to send a message through their website. No confirmation it went through at all. Have not gotten a response yet from form as of 6/11. Messaged on Facebook, they said to use their Chat feature due to high volume. Wed, June 10: Still have heard nothing from all forms of contact initiated. This was the first time I've needed a cellphone repair. Upon recommendation from my cellphone carrier, I called the store and spoke with a very kind and helpful technician. I visited the store and within minutes they fixed my phone charging port! Very kind, professional and went above what I expected. Horrible. Absolutely Horrible. No words can describe how careless and unhelpful the employees at this store are. I brought my phone in to get the screen replaced, and they told me to come back later that day. I called them later to see if it was repaired and they told me that it had been repaired but they CAN'T FIND THE PHONE. Once they found it, they dropped it so it broke again! Employees were extremely unsympathetic, and did a horrible job repairing the phone. When I finally got my phone back, the screen randomly turned black about 4 days later so I went all the way back to uBreakiFix to get it repaired again using the warranty. Their website said that they were open, but when I got to the location I was told that all locations were CLOSED INDEFINITELY due to cooperate issues. Every employee I talked to sounded like they wanted to die, and frankly, I don't blame them because I'd be depressed if I were working at a phone repair store at their age as well. I am now writing this review at a library across the street. I am a college student who has finals this week and I need my phone. I have no way of getting back to campus because I don't have a phone. This place has been the best experience we have had with screen repairs bar non and we have had quite a few. The employees were honest, polite, efficient and went beyond their call of duty to help their customers. My iPad was unable to stay on for longer than 5 minutes if the screen was being used. I brought it into them in order for them to back it up and restore it because I did not have enough memory on my computer for a back up. They decided to completely wipe the memory from my iPad without asking/warning me and said it was necessary in order to fix it. I know this is not true because I was able to sync it to my computer but just didn't have room to back up all my info. They CHOSE to not back up my iPad for whatever reason. I am a veterinary student and lost 2 years worth of presentations, documents, notes, study guides etc. I will NEVER give them business again. I'd rather pay the extra $ at Apple and know my devices/data will be taken care of. EDIT: My ipad isn't even fixed. It continues to die every five minutes. Looks like my memory from the last two years was wiped for absolutely no reason. read more
