I'm a college student who came in looking to a simple issue addressed which was my battery. upon bringing in my MacBook they took it in and replaced the battery; yet when I got it back my mac was dented up. They then proceeded to replace it causing another storage issue. I then decided to take it to apple and they mentioned parts were missing from my Mac and were replaced with fake parts, keep in mind I bought my MacBook from apple themselves. be careful with these third party companies especially this place. A visit to this location was completed 1-16-2023 with an overall poor experience. Synopsis: A lot of people have wrote reviews for this location for technical services performed on their machine. This review is for an attempt at evaluating a 2017 iMac computer for being sold and /or traded in. I visited this location to evaluate the value of a top of the line 2017 27" Retina Display iMac All In One Workstation in Like New Condition (Valued $2799.99 new). Additionally I provided the original box and packing materials for this device so it was mostly complete in box. Summary: While the initial interaction with the serviceman was well received, shortly after booting up and evaluating my machine, I spotted an identical 2017 27" Retina Display iMac for sale at their location was selling for $1,700.00. Additionally, on their wall, their company's plaque states "iMac's are built to last and hold the majority of their value even after 5+ years". Upon completing the review of my machine, the serviceman came back to me with a truly abysmal estimate and stated that they can give me "$175.00 because that's what Apple states its worth. It could be that these machines just aren't worth what they used to, or that Apple is phasing out the operating system". It is important to note, this location is NOT an "Apple Store", it's an Apple reseller and service team that focuses on Apple Products. After I asked about how are they selling the same item I brought in for the $1700.00 price tag, everything I heard from the serviceman reminded me of a snakeoil salesman. None of it was based on fact and he stumbled between sentences when questioned. The salesman's answers and supporting evidence were flat out lies and I was shocked that the salesman doubled down on such poor arguments. I'm no stranger to how businesses are run, I came in with a level mind on what to expect and my intentions were based on the reviews I saw prior to visiting. Even my degree is in IT Business Administration and from what I experienced, I would steer anyone as far away from this location with those kind of business practices. It was a terrible experience and definitely not something I wish upon anybody to go through for their own items. A location like this can take in items for cheap from un-suspecting customers and flip them for extreme amounts of margin and claim that the customer is getting a good deal. For any prospective customers looking to sell and evaluate your product at this location, do yourself a favor and don't work with them. That will be my first and last time visiting here. read more

This is a Great Computer Repair Place! I brought my Mac and they did a great job! The service was great and fast! I dropped my computer at closing time on Monday and it was ready Wednesday afternoon!!!! The people are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. I got 4 quotes for my iPhone cracked screen repair, this one is one of the lowest price. But when I went to the store, it's highly professional, to me this store feels like a apple store for used Apple product. It has 4 employees working there that day. The gentleman in Experimax Naperville embody all that is good in a person. They are polite to talk to. They are patient, they are Knowledgeable. They are as HONEST as they come. I'm a MAC guy have been for decades...my mother has my 2008 Mac that's been upgraded with solid state hard drives, and additional ram. It is a strong computer for her needs. She can FaceTime with grandkids, gets her emails and catching up on social media or learning a new project she's researching on the Net...well my 77 year old mom (I love her)...was complaining that the computer was slow, email not working, nothing on internet working. I had her bring it to Experimax bc they had made updates within the last year I thought they could help. We had figured she should just go buy a ' new' rebuilt computer they sell for $600-$800...Wouldn't you know, they fired the computer up, called me to say everything was working great and they suspected moms modem was damaged. Mom said to them she called AT&T who treated her poorly and said modem was just fine. One employee at the store got so upset with how big companies treat little innocent old ladies he gave her some encouragement and power words and had her call from the store so he could make sure AT&T treated her right. Two days later new modem arrives and moms computer is perfect!!! Now, my loving, sweat mom was going to the store to spend $600+ buying a new computer. If they wanted to they could have easily sold her a new computer and we wouldn't have known any different, BUT, because they are such upstanding fellas they did the RIGHT THING! They helped her get to the real problem. They SAVED her much needed money and I know they will be blessed because of how they run their business! I owe y'all a debt of gratitude!!
