This so-called business on Virginia Boulevard in Reno you break we fix is a Samsung authorized dealer! Or at least that's what they say I had a simple fix after being on the phone with Samsung and waiting for one hour to take it to the store they take off the back of the phone and make a simple fix to a common problem with the Samsung Note 10 plus and this problem is the on/off button they looked at me they went in the back and a minute later they came out and said"we don't feel comfortable doing this" what? Samsung explained this would be a very simple fix and it is a common problem and they didn't feel like it? I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy they are worthless when I asked him what the problem was the man at the desk just stared at me wouldn't speak and turned around and walked away in the back. Obviously their paycheck is not going to change $1 the people losing the money are the ones that hired them and pay their paychecks and that won't be affected but the store can't meet its bottom line because the people who work there don't feel like it!??! I sent out a quote from atnt. Show up to the ubreakifix reno location at 2pm from carson. TV screen flashing behind receptionist saying how Samsung repairs are under 2 hours typically. Showed up at 4pm waited in line behind a father and daughter. Finally spoke to receptionist " sorry, it looks like it's going to closer to 6:30". Show up at 6:20pm the customer ahead of me at 2pm was in there collecting his phone so safe assumption my phone was a least close to being completed since my phone was delivered immediately after his. My phones still not ready, told now maybe 7pm the time the store closes. Then the father and daughter from my 4:30 return trip walk through the door, their phone is complete. I have a family of five, waisted my whole day in reno. I will not personally be waisting my time at this location in the future. Maybe the location in sparks (farther away), or maybe have them come to you. I'm not sure if this falls on the company itself or atnt, but all I arrived for was a new back glass and front screen on my galaxy s23 ultra. Feels like I've been jerked around all day by ubreakifix. My phone wasn't charging and I took to the repair place near costco (the "other guys"), they said they cleaned the port but about 30 minutes after leaving the store it stopped charging in my car. I had a strange customer service interaction at that store, so figured I'd give uBreakiFix a try. I walked in expecting to shell out $$ for a new charging port, I mean if it was cleaned it and it wasn't charging then it must be a bad charging port or worse. Patricia was working the counter at uBreakiFix and a total rock star and able to get me out the door in a few minutes. I brought my Surface Pro in for a simple issue--the USB-C port wasn't working, but the device was otherwise fully functional. After their attempted "repair," the laptop now won't even power on. So now, instead of a minor inconvenience, I'm left with a completely unusable device. At no point was I asked to sign any kind of waiver or informed that further damage could occur during the evaluation or repair. Had I known that fixing a USB-C port could brick the whole machine, I never would've taken that risk. But they never gave me that option. To make things worse, I reached out for a resolution--whether repair, replacement, or some other remedy--and have received no response at all. No apology, no accountability, nothing. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly caution others to think twice before trusting this business with your electronics. read more

So, I was just here earlier by about an hour. White dude is an extreme simp & lazy jackass. This phone center advertises help with phones but neither the tech in the backroom or even the clerk wanted to help and was more trying to do a write-off to get me to leave quickly. Told him my issue and: 1) Didn't even try to get it fixed. Just walked to the back room and pretty much asked the "tech" if he feels like doing it. 2) This store sells gear for Galaxy A70, A71, A73, but quotes that "We have nothing equipped to fix your phone". When I asked what they can do, simp said: "We'd have to order parts and it'd take 5-7 days". Then tried to dismiss me again. 3) The imbecilic cognitive processes where he kept trying to send me to other places saying "be sure to call them first" was facepalmingly bad. Excuse me... How would I call anyone? With what phone? If I had the ability to call anyone, then my phone wouldn't be damaged and I wouldn't be arriving to this lethargic excuse for "tech repair". This is also a HUGE indictment of terrible customer service based on the fact that they don't know their competition at all whatsoever. It's one thing to be focused on your grind, but to suggest Best Buy-- an affluent market that would even charge $25 just for a USB dock with only 4 ports-- and not even know that they major in iPhones and won't work with any phone without insurance, ignorant. The same ignorance when you sent me to Batteries Plus when YOU ALREADY identified water damage/potential moisture as a root cause despite the fact Batteries Plus is only for parts and not repair is beyond me. A very good experience! My battery for my Samsung Galaxy Note8 was dying. I got five years out of it, so I was not complaining. After having tried two other providers: an other authorized Samsung provider: Best Buy in Reno, and Batteries Plus in Carson City, and being turned me away because they didn't service my phone due to its age (from 2018). So I decided to give ubreakifix by Asurion (Asurion Tech Services) a try. Afterall, they had good reviews on Yelp and were an authorized Samsung provider as well, so I knew I would get genuine parts and correct service. I went in on February 1, 2023. They asked me what was wrong. They confirmed they could fix my phone, but had to order the battery, since I had an older model. Then they quickly looked up the model of my phone, got me a price, wrote me up, and gave me a receipt after I paid in advance (since it was a special order). The genuine Samsung battery came in three days later, and they promptly called me to bring in my phone. It would take an hour to replace it. Since it was my back-up phone, I just left it there in the morning and came back later in the day. I told them it was backed up already and unlocked. They again promptly called me when it was done, in time, as promised, for the quoted price, which was reasonable (similar to what they charge you for an iPhone battery at the Apple store). When I swung by at the end of the day, there was a brand-new battery and the phone worked great! The store itself was just a small room in front of the two stations at the counter, with a few chairs for waiting and some products for sale. No one was in the room when I walked in, but an employee quickly came out from the rear area. He was knowledgeable, professional, and polite, as was his co-worker, who also came out when another customer walked in. I heard him answer all her questions and even give her some free tips. He also helped out another customer who came in later with some technical advice on how to use his phone. They were happy to help and did not push sales. I heard a third employee in the back also working. Everything about the store and the employees instilled confidence in me that this would be a good experience, and it was! I am sorry I didn't get any pictures of the inside when I was there, but I will try to get some in the future. The store is in the The Commons Shopping Center on S. Virginia St., with stores like AAA, Starbucks, PetSmart, DSW, and David's Bridal. Since it was at the end of the plaza, things were quieter, and parking was tight, but sufficient. read more

He found the battery at the sparks store which he told me was about 15 minutes away. When I punched it into a direction app it's 25 minutes away. Don't waste my time. Let me start off by saying " thank you Patricia " :] I was looking for way to get the iPhone charging port fixed without having the store keeping my phone for repairs or waiting for 3 hours - trust me no shade towards Apple Inc. Anywho.. I called the store, Patricia answered and reassured me she can fix my iPhone SE (2nd GEN) I drove right over. Patricia greeted me and asked me what's the issue and is there anything else going on with the phone. She showed me where the problem had started with the charging port, also, she showed me what was inside of the ear piece ( where you pit your ear to the speaker) and showed me the bottom of the speakers and it was filled with GUNK. Patricia was able to remove all debris and ear wax from the phone -- we conducted a hearing test . I called the phone and we talked . I heard her clearly and she heard me too, from there I seen the store sells iPhone SE protective screens - Patricia went ahead and replaced the old one with a new screen. IWe brought our newer Google pixel 7 phone to this location right before Christmas. Patricia helped us out in an unhurried way, pleasant and great to deal with. I had screwed up my husband's phone so it was stuck on an help mode for those with disabilities. (We aren't disabled, and how Google could ever think this mode could help anyone is beyond me.) I spent over an hour with a Google Pixel tech, who gave up on me, told me to take the phone to UBreakIfix...and that I'd have to pay for the repairs out of my pocket even though I have insurance on both our phones. Patricia knew what the problem was right away, and fixed it in about 5 minutes!!! She only charged me a very nominal fee! I'll bypass dealing with a Pixel tech in the future and just go here for any future problems. Google Fi techs are great...just not pixel techs. read more

I think this is my 4th or 5time in over the years, handt had a bad experience before. Came in today 4/3/24 at 11:58am to have my iPhone 12Pro assessed due to middle range camera not focusing and clicking, they said they would give me a free assessment. I asked how long and new guy in white t-shirt said a few hours to assess, He said they would "call me" when they assessed it...I said you can't call me cause you have my phone, then he said do you have someone else we call call for you and I said no Cause my wife would need to call me if you call her and there is not point as we are not together today. I said why don't you just EMAIL me so I know to come in, I have my iPad on me and it has live internet access. He took my email down and said ok. I started checking my email about every 30mins, 4-1/2 hours to by with no email, I went on and checked and he immediately walked back for my phone and told me I needed a new camera for $199 and I would have to pay for it now as a pre-order, I asked why I handt been emailed yet? Same dude from before in white T-Shirt said "uh she called you" I said "I told you not to do that" he repeated "she called you" and I said "you've had my phone? Who did you call?" He said "both numbers including my wife's number" I said "I gave you my email so you wouldn't do exactly what you did?" Then I asked "what time did she call me?" He said "around 1:15" he handed me my phone and I showed him no one had even called my phone like he said (cause they had it) and I saw a text to me from my wife at 1:30 that said she got a call from them....I asked again "why didn't she email me?" He said "I don't know man but she called you, it's $199 and you need to preorder it if you want it" So yeah they wasted 3hours of my day and didn't follow a simple request. I run my business of my phone AND I run my YouTube off my phone. Yes I'm a youtuber which is why I really need my camera fixed ASAP, Pretty disappointed in the in ability to send an email and the guy in the white shirts inability to perceive that I was annoyed and not apologize. Breathe. I call on Saturday to ask if they can replace my iPhone 12 Pro Max black glass. I'm told yes and I make an appointment for Sunday. I'm also told $180. I live in Truckee and drove 50 miles for only this reason. I get to the store and I'm told $199. Fine. They take my phone, go in back talk to the tech, find the correct back for my phone, I pay $200 and they tell me to return in 3 hours. I return in about 2.5 hours to see if it's ready. "Oh, yeah, we don't have the right machine to do this work on your model phone. The tech tried to go get you but you "ran off"". I ran off? I left to not waste the next 2.5 hours in your parking lot. I twice told this business the service I was looking g for and they said they could do it. I then have to wait over 10 minutes for them to figure out how to refund my $200 and I was told, "sorry about that boss." I drove 100 miles, round trip, only for this reason. What's that? $25 in gas? The fact that I wasted this much time, half of one of my weekend days, is infuriating because twice I was told they could do it. Then to receive no sincere apology or a suggestion of how they can help me get this done, is beyond me. No care at all was expressed. So, what am I gonna do? Nothing. What can I do? Went in at 6:30pm, they close at 7pm, and we were out in 20 minutes. My screen was completely smashed and I couldn't see anything on it. They fixed it to brand new. I've got a pixel 8 that for some reason every 3 months enough lint gets stuck in the charging port, I need to have UBIF clean it out for me because my phone ends up being dead (I think it is charging on the charger and it isn't until I notice the phone is dead) and I have to make an emergency trip to get it repaired. It is very inconvenient for me since I live 40 miles away; so every time this happens, I have to make an instant 80 mile round trip to keep my phone working. Joshua and Caleb were very helpful on this last trip as they suggested I get a magnetic port and install that in my charging port to prevent the lint thing from happening again. Every time I go there I am in and out in 15 minutes and what's not to like about that after driving 40 miles to get there? This place is my go-to repair shop. read more

I went in here because I needed a new phone battery, my phone screen was completely fine when it was plugged in but my phone wouldn't hold a charge. They never called me, I waited 6 hours and finally called and they told me that my screen was broken and flashing. This was not the case when I went in so I think it was an error on their part. I told them I didn't want the screen fixed because that would be too expensive and I would just come get the phone and not go through with the repair. When I got there the lady working told me I would be refunded the $160 I paid and said the old battery had been put back in, therefore I shouldn't be paying for anything because a diagnostic is free. I ended up checking and never received a refund and it's been more than enough time to receive one. I've called like 4 times and can't get a hold of anyone. I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence but to me seems pretty scammy. Along with dealing with a broken phone it's really irritating to have to deal with this on top of it. read more
