Just had an excellent experience here. Evan was polite and funny and very helpful, making sure I understood the options for replacing my broken iPhone screen. And the technician was fast and did a great job. I highly recommend the place although I hope I never have to use them again! I've been to this business a few times now for broken iPad/iPhone screens, and they always do excellent work. This week, I took in an iPad with a cracked screen, which they expertly replaced. Unfortunately, the "Home" button somehow got dislodged during the repairs; however, the company fixed the button with no added charge. Update, I contacted the company's customer service and they arranged for me to have my phone fixed at their Oxnard store. The Oxnard store was really helpful: they replaced the screen and the battery at no cost in 45 mins., as the battery was leaking and may have affected the screen. The battery problem could have been caused when the Ventura store repaired the screen they broke or not, but they replaced it for me anyway. The upshot is, go to the *Oxnard store*, they are very knowledgeable and reasonable, explain very well what the issues are with your device, and try to be as helpful as possible. Also, uBreak's and Asurion's customer service representatives were very helpful when I related my experience at their Ventura store. I'm still giving the Ventura store one star, but would give the Oxnard store five. read more

Took my phone in for screen repair and while it was there it caught on fire and fried. They replaced it with a refurbished phone, which was okay. However, they charged me for the screen replacement on the phone that was destroyed while in their possession. Not cool. $80 out the window. read more

Company should be called "ubreakitican'tfixitbutichargeuanuyway" I brought my Chrome TOUCHSCREEN laptop in for repair. They told me it would be $300, but if I signed up for their insurance club for $30/month, it would only be $150 for a new touch screen . So I signed up, paid the $30, plus $150, and left my computer there. They told me it would be about a week. They called a couple days later and said my computer was fixed. I picked it up and tried to check it, but it wasn't charged. I brought it home, plugged it in, and realized they replaced my touchscreen with a regular screen. I brought it back. This was now my third trip to the store. They said they made a mistake and were still waiting for the part. They assured me as soon as the part was in, they would call me, and I could come in and have it fixed instantly. I waited. And waited. 8 days later I called them and tried to find out what the holdup was. They called me back and said the part was in. I went to the store again (4th time) and they said it would take two hours. I returned to the store in two hours (my 5th trip), and they handed me my laptop. I turned it on to see if they fixed it, and it was still not a touch screen! 13 days passed. Five trips to the store. I demanded to see the manager and get my money refunded. I explained everything to the manager, Tyler Miller, and he refused to give me a refund. He wanted to put my broken touchscreen back on my computer. I told him he is not touching my computer - he had 13 days to fix it and was obviously not competent to do so. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau. I also made Asurion aware of what happened and they refunded my $30. read more

Last week KANE (the asurion mobile serviceman) arrived to my home and completed a screen repair in 20 minutes. Kane was extremely pleasant and very professional. He also gave me tips for future phone repair. This week I needed to complete a data transfer from my old iPhone to my new one. TYLER (the Telegraph Rd store manager/supervisor) was happy to help me and put one of his technicians immediately on my project. When picking up the phone a few hours later, I met with VAL who was just as helpful by wrapping up a few details and returning my phone back to me, ready to roll. These people stole 280 from my daughter replacing a back glass that was not necessary. I called they agreed to refund and when I arrived they said no . Juan the manager was such a coward and would not come out to face me . Never fixed the phone . I will be filing a law suit against them. So I was way overcharged for my ps5 supposedly it came with a one year warranty only for my ps5 to again break in the SAME SPOT. The hdmi port again came loose and then broke shortly after. THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT UNDER THE WARRANTY. Do not trust these guys to fix your stuff. Not only will they overcharge you but they also will do shotty work that will last mere months but you'll pay top dollar for repairs We called the manager multiple times but he never tried to reach out only ignored us. Extremely unprofessional. Absolute terrible way to do business. This place really went downhill after the ownership changed. Expect to be ripped off if you go. Made appt online. When you make appt it asks specifically what device and part Go to store on a Sunday they don't have part. Okay, flaw in system. I get it. Online appts don't check available inventory. They tell me they will order Pixel screen and it will be there by Wednesday. Make appt for Thursday. Thursday I go to store on lunch break. No screen. Repair person goes in back to look. Apparently no record of my order or something. Come out from back and tell me it's backordered. Not sure I believe that but okay. Take my name and number again. I came in with iPhone problems that I expected were unsolvable. My mind swam with how much this was going to cost. Stepping inside Asurion, I was immediately struck by the clean lines and pleasant presentation. I told the staff member about my problem, and he immediately whisked the phone off, went to the back room, and quickly returned with my fixed phone. To my surprise, there was no charge. Brought a phone in for water damage. Friendly front desk (which bought two stars). Was told the phone couldn't be repaired, for no charge. I was glad that I do auto backup. I brought it home and bought a $15 replacement battery on Amazon. I installed it myself and the phone works fine. I don't know if they are too busy or just don't care, but there seems to be a disconnect. If water damage can short a battery, why don't they know that? read more

A couple weeks ago my iPhone 7 fell in the lake and had significant water damage. It went completely black and started acting up. I called apple and another local fix it place and explained my issue. They both said it was beyond repair and that was that. Didn't even take the time to look at the phone. I was not satisfied with the response I got and wasn't ready to lose hope. A friend referred me to uBreakiFix so I decided to give them a try. Brian is who I initially met said him and his tech team would take a look, run diagnostics and do their best to repair the phone and recover the lost photos but explained it was a long shot and couldn't make any promises. I explained to Brian that all I cared about was retrieving the 7k plus photos I had lost that went back to 2012. Irreplaceable memorable moments! Unfortunately the phone was not backed up to iCloud therefore all 7k plus photos were gone forever, or so I thought and was previously told. I got several calls back, mostly from Moises, giving me updates regarding the progress. I'm not sure how they did it but this team of techs used their magic and recovered all the lost pictures and videos. I can't thank this team enough and will absolutely recommend them to any of my friends, family and anyone else in the future! read more

Over the years I've attempted to use them four or five times and each time the service has been flawed and the "technicians" are never the same. Not once has one of my computers come back completely sound, with the problem being resolved. I'm not techno savvy and yet I usually know more than these guys. I'm so disappointed that Juan and his staff were unable to help me...I brought my playstation in to be fixed on July 5th. I was told today, a month later, that the plan I purchased from them "Asurion Plus" would not cover my item. They said it was due to liquid damage, which clearly says it would be covered on the brochure. I guess it's true what they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. I asked Juan to please email me his diagnosis he said his store performed 4 days after I brought it in and why it took this long to tell me. He informed me his store did "an amazing job". Laughable. Asurion told me the store dropped the ball-although they gave me different reasons every week why it wasn't covered. A nightmare from both the store, and the warranty I purchased from that store. I brought my mac in and told them there was a dvd stuck in the slot. I had taken the Mac to Apple and they said the comuputer would have to be opened up to remove the disc and I should take it to a computer repair place. I brought the Mac in, told them the problem and they said it would be done in 2 days. Not hearing from them, a WEEK later I went in to inquire and they told me they looked at it but did not know what the problem was. So why didn't they call me???? I said I told them what the problem was when I brought it in. It had to be opened up and the stuck disc removed. Oh! the guy says to me, we did not know. So then why didn't someone call me?? How long would my computer have sat there???? Meanwhile I was without a computer for a week, inconvenienced and nothing was done and no one called me. Never again These guys are no good. read more

He explained the process to fix the problem I was having, gave me an estimated timeframe, said he'd call with a status in a couple of hours and did. Once for a cracked screen, once to help get the phone charging again. Twice I've been to these guys, and twice the process has gone great.

Avoid at all costs. We had my daughters phone screen replaced here 5 weeks ago for $290. Last week her screen started to be less responsive and over the weekend the screen started cracking from the pressure of her thumb. We brought her phone in, still under warranty, and clear screen protector still intact not cracked. After explaining the worker took her phone, started peeling off the screen protector cracking it and said, "see, it is cracked." When I told him he was being dishonest he slapped the now cracked protector back onto the phone and told us to have a good day. I would never use these people. They either used a non-Apple cheap screen replacement or didn't replace it correctly. I feel so cheated and still have to pay to fix their defective screen. read more

Took the insurance in May; have submitted 3 regular claims their staff said would be approved. All came back denied, without reason. Filed again to use right wording w their staff in store ( they are great) and again denied. Like many insurances, they discourage you using them, yet promote like they will fix all. I went in asking about a crack on my iPhone and they confirmed it was just in my screen protector, which I later changed myself (I had an extra at home.). They also advised me against upgrading my internal MacBook Pro hard drive suggesting I just get a portable external flash drive instead. - They could have taken advantage of my ignorance but they didn't!! I highly value any business that shows integrity and honesty like this. This kind of honesty is sadly too rare. My experience with this store(repair business) is so unbelievably miserable that it seems almost surreal. If it was not such a disappointing experience, and an ordeal saturated with pathetic responses from the agent I interacted with, my experience could be an incredibly funny satire video. Based on this one unfortunate attempt to utilize their service, even trying to give them any benefit of any doubt, I must honestly say, I would never ever consider going there again. In my opinion, they are incompetent, very misleading ( I'm not sure if it is intentional or not), unable to provide any consistent explanation of what they could or would do, after confirming my appointment to use their drive up curbside service. (Which seemed even more odd, because there was not any designation of any area surrounding the store that was labeled as such. In decades of personal and professional business interactions, I believe this was the most bizarrely incompetent "business" that I have ever encountered. Even the one agent who I eventually spoke with in person face to masked face, could have really been Woody Allen doing a cameo for a movie insert. If you have any reason to consider using the "services" of this "business" ,I regret that I needed to provide this review, and I honestly hope there is some sane explanation for how/why my unfortunate dealings there would not be mirrored if/when you ventured into the building. I doubt any business could commit as many errors and generate as many insulting communications, if they deliberately set out drive away any potential customers. read more
