DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE WITH YOUR COMPUTER. If I could give zero stars, trust me I would! I brought my laptop to this location to have a replacement part ordered and installed for the back plate. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. First, I waited a week for the part to arrive. After receiving a text that it was ready, I brought my laptop in and was told the repair would take approximately 48 hours. After 48 hours, I called for an update only to learn that my laptop had not even been properly entered into their system and no work had been started. I was told it would be addressed that day. Several days later, I called again and was informed they had the wrong part. What is unbelievable is that nobody from the store ever contacted me to let me know. At this point, they had already had my computer for over a week and a half. Because I work from home and could not continue waiting indefinitely, I picked up my laptop. When I spoke with the store manager, Stephen, I was met with excuses instead of accountability. Everything was someone else's fault, and there seemed to be no concern whatsoever for the inconvenience they had caused. The worst part came when I got home and discovered a screw protruding through my laptop screen. That damage was not there when I dropped my computer off. The laptop had been in their possession for more than a week, and now it had new physical damage. I contacted Asurion for assistance. They attempted to help, but because this location is independently owned, there was little they could do. The store then claimed they never opened my laptop and even said they reviewed security footage. That statement makes absolutely no sense because employees opened my laptop multiple times in front of me while I was physically standing in the store. If they truly reviewed the footage, they would know that. Instead of taking responsibility, they denied everything, refused to address the damage, and effectively blamed the customer. Everyone makes mistakes. The real test of a business is what happens after a mistake is made. This store failed that test completely. Poor communication. Poor management. No accountability. And a refusal to stand behind their work. If you value your computer and expect honesty when something goes wrong, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Based on my experience, if your device is damaged while in their possession, don't expect them to admit it or make it right. read more

I generally only do reviews that deserve 5 stars, Not this time. This review is directed at the "Manager" in the back room, who couldn't bother herself with talking to me directly about a repair that ended up taking 16 days because of a problem on their end. Also, no apology. I needed a new battery for my Moto G Stylus, which is a couple of years old. They needed to order the replacement and said it would take 3-4 days. It's a 2-year-old Motorola, so that seemed reasonable. The person at the counter said they'd keep me posted, and the receipt said they would call me in 2 days. After a week, I called to check on the status and was told their records showed it was "out for delivery", but they couldn't give me a date. Several days later, the tech called my wife to inform her he broke the screen when replacing the battery. He apologized and took full responsibility. That was appreciated. Again we were told it would be 3-4 days. I would expect that since it was their fault, they would have paid for expedited delivery this time. There was no word while I waited for the repair. After a week from talking to the tech, I called (Friday) and was informed the screen was expected by 4 pm the next day, which would be on Saturday. They'd let me know if it came in early, but the worst-case scenario was that it would be Monday before I could pick it up. I finally received a call that it was ready 16 days after dropping it off. When I went to pick it up, the counter person was indifferent and charged me the full price of the battery and service. (They did not charge me for the broken screen since it was their fault.) I asked them to consider a discount due to the inconvenience of the extra 9 days without my phone. He said he'd check with his manager in the back. He said his manager said policy didn't permit discounts on shipping delays because it was out of their control, but the best they could do was to knock $10 off the total. I responded that any alleged shipping delay was directly attributable to them breaking the screen which was their fault. He held his ground. A paltry $10 was a missed opportunity to keep my business. The least the manager could have done was get off her ass and talk to me directly and offer a sincere apology for my inconvenience. They probably don't care, but I'll take my business elsewhere in the future and tell anyone I know to do the same. read more

Wow! Terrific customer service and our iPhone was ready when promised - great experience! We stopped in at 10 am, dropped off our iPhone for a battery replacement and for new gorilla glass install. We were told it would be about 2 hours. We ran some errands, came back by and Serena (who is wonderful!) said it would be about another 15 minutes. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, we received the text on our other phone that our repair was done. Very professional, very clean store and they are abiding by all Covid rules. Recommend this location highly - great location but if you are a WF resident, you know this parking lot can be a real pain. Very small parking spaces and not a lot of room to navigate - I'd recommend parking by Vitamin Shoppe and walking over, just easier to get in and out of lot from that side. $119 for iPhone 7 Plus battery and brand new glass read more

Never fun to have to replace glass on a smartphone. You're already in a bad mood because you smashed your screen by dropping it. Certainly it's not UbreakIFix's fault... but you start out grumpy. My glass had to be ordered, as it was not in stock. Rather than offering to contact me to confirm that it had arrived, I was instructed to call back on Saturday. Not a great start. I called back, and after explaining the whole story - again - I was told that the glass had arrived. I was told that I could drop the phone off anytime and they would estimate amount of time. I was encouraged. Arrived at the store, intake was pleasant and efficient. All the COVID protocols in place. I was told it was a 3 hour wait, which meant 4:30. They said come back at 5, just to be sure, and we'll call you if we're done earlier. I was further encouraged. Arrived at 5:00. I was told it was almost done, 5 - 20 more minutes. At 5:40 it was actually done and I walked away with a sparkling new screen. For quality of the work, 5 stars. For friendliness, 5 stars. For customer service, 2 stars. I really appreciate that they honor masks and social distancing. I have seen them very kindly ask customers to wear their face covering. I appreciate that respect for everyone's safety as well. My son damaged our Nintendo Switch with water and I submitted a diagnosis request online. Someone followed up with a call and I have them all the details, specifically letting them know it wouldn't turn on. I was told they'd diagnose it for free within no later than 7 days. I called on the seventh day to ask for an update and was told no one had looked at it and that they'd call me before close. Bo one did and then the store was closed for the next two days. I call this morning, ask for an update, and get told still no news, but to wait until the end of the day. I call again an hour before close and get told at first that they suggest I replace it... They then move into a pitch for their $25 MVP service which would replace my NEXT broken Switch for only $100, but not this one. I decline on the grounds that I was strung along for over a week. They the. explain that the first guy didn't work there anymore and that they should never have promised a free diagnosis since it wouldn't turn on and they'd need to order parts to test it. How do you not have spare parts in house for a device you claim you can repair? You can only diagnose things that already work? Wouldnt you have to order the part to test it even if it did come on? Stick to cellphones and don't claim you can repair game systems. read more

Had nothing short of an amazing experience at the Wake Forest location. I would highly recommend this place to anyone experiencing tech issues. I brought in my iPhone, which had been submerged in water and all the camera lenses were full of moisture. Not only did they have to try multiple different techniques, including ultimately opening up the phone and drying it out by hand, but they were very patient, professional and communicative throughout the entire process. I dealt with two different techs 8/20/24, one at the front desk who was very understanding and helpful. The other who is one of the managers of the store and stayed after hours to make sure that my phone was taken care of, operating properly, and handed back to me that evening after the store should already have been closed. It's hard to find places that'll go above and beyond in the customer service world, but these employees definitely did and I absolutely will be using them again! read more

Came in with an iPad mini that I thought had a cracked screen. A lesser repair shop would have let me continue to believe this, as I am an idiot and wholly subservient to anybody with a modicum of authority. That's not what they did, though, no sir! Duder told me it was just scratched and fixed me up with a glass screen protector, which, if you're not in the know, is a lot cheaper than a new screen and even a lotter cheaper than a new iPad mini. Giving specific numbers would be passé, but suffice it to say I spent more on my pants and they are not very good pants. Now I'm back to reading comic books I download from something my grandkids call the dark Internet and posting well meaning election misinformation on Facebook. ********BEWARE FOLKS******* I Took my phone in because a few days ago I dropped it and cracked the back glass( I have a galaxy s9) several hours before hand I took it to a Authorized Verizon dealer and had liquid glass put on the front if it, but did not want them to replace the back as they would have charged me $84 with tax. I dropped off the phone with the BRAND NEW LIQUID glass on the front, WITH NO CRACKS OR SCRATCHES! when I came back to pick it up it had MANY scratches and also a crack!!! I cracked my iPhone 8 screen Glass only. The display screen was not damage. Making appointments online is easy but misleading. the wording Indicates they fix it while you wait but they have no waiting area. In fact the front area is awkwardly roped off requiring you to yell across the room and loudly project your phone number and pin code for everyone to hear. Really? on both visits, immediately the service associate attempts to up sell you on some unnecessary warranty plan that clearly isn't helpful for an already broken phone. the most frustrating part is they clearly did not use OEM quality replacement parts on my iPhones. I only requested the glass to be replaced and it's obviously they replaced my display screen also with a lower quality (dimmer and blueish hue) Screen. The touch sensitivity is not as responsive to fine movements and there are parts of the screen that domy respond to touch until repeated tries In comparison to an OEM screen/ glass you will notice the difference what I really want to know is what did they do with my unbroken, original Apple iPhone screen?? I would have paid extra to have the original quality replacement parts. Instead I got inferior with a 90 day warranty The price was reasonable but I just wish they had informed me that my iPhone would not perform as it did before the repair. Ask if they use equivalent parts before deciding to let this company perform a repair. read more

Quick service and reasonably priced- My iPhone was not charging like it should, so there were 2 possible remedies, have it cleaned and if it did not work I would get a new port put in. Fortunately, it just needed cleaning. It took a few hours, but I got an email when it was ready. My cell phone is my only phone, so I am glad to get it back. I discovered this while I was away on a work trip. When I got back into town, I got sick with Covid and was out of commission for about three weeks. By the time I contacted them to replace the screen, they informed me that I would need to purchase another one, warranty had expired. iPhone XR. Missed promise date. Could not recover data from the original computer SSD, though I was able to use online software to recover valuable doc files after the computer was returned. They had the laptop for 9 days and yet simply loaded Windows OS on a new SSD (which I provided). The customer service was curt at best. I did call a couple of times for updates after they missed their committed repair date - they were not proactive. Also, staff was not wearing mask on either occasion when I arrived at the store; she had to go to the back to get a mask, yet barked at me for not having my mask on correctly. Staff are very nice and polite and I got quick turnaround. Issue was USB port not charging on my HP Spectre. However repair was not even tested for success before I came to pick up my computer. This place actually made my phone worse. Several others have had same experience. My phone worked fine but had a cracked screen. After they replaced the screen the cell service would not work and phone kept resetting. They treated me like it was somehow my fault. Awful customer service had to go back multiple times ended up getting refund and having to buy a new phone. Would have just lived with the cracked screen had I known. New phone cost $700.
