I live 26 miles away from this business. Calling them because they carry unusual batteries. I tld the guy I wanted to see if they had the battery I need. No numbers on the battery. Told him the color and what the dimensions were as for the positive side was indented. It was closer to the size of a C battery than an AA. He checked and said he had three different battery that fit my description. I started my 26 mile treck to the business. When I get there and show him , he shows me a battery that is a little longer than the one I want to replace. I asked him what did the other ones look like, you said you have three. He said he thought it was a different battery? As I described it in every way. Now they only have one that might work ????? I did buy it and it did not work. I brought it back for a refund. As I was leaving he said try the smoke shop down the road , they may carry the battery I need. I stopped in the smoke shop across from Knights Street lay gold course. As I walked in and was greeted by a guy. I said I was sent down from Battery shop, he said the number ID of the battery I needed. I did not say a word and he knew what I was looking for. He said the Battery place sends a lot of people down. They were out of stock on that battery at the time. Knowing what the guy at the Vape/ Smoke shop told me , why did the guy at the Battery place sell me a battery he knew did not work. That was a 54 mile trip to and from this business. Instead of doing the right thing for customers, they will sell you what knowingly will not work. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this business. They wasted my time, miles on my car and gas. Very knowledgable staff when it comes to rechargeable batteries and LED lighting. I had already invested a small fortune in rechargable AA's and 9v's and little did I know that my AA rechargeables are only 1.2V (instead of the standard 1.5) and my 9v's are only 8.4v. There are better alternatives with higher voltages, but one needs to have the matching charger for the 9.6v rechargable battery. The one I bought will consider the battery fully charged at 8.4v and will not continue to charge up to capacity on a 9.6v battery. That's right, I didn't read the really tiny print when I bought my rechargable batteries at worst buy. I wasn't about to reinvest another small fortune, but now I know where to go get the real deal and get the voltage that doesn't start out weak from the get go in about a year or two when my current group of batteries stop holding a charge for very long. read more

Phong is the man! So here's the story.. I had a cracked iPhone 5S screen and originally used the company iCracked to fix my phone. This guy named Philip with iCracked came to my house, and broke my phone attempting to fix it and they still charged me. HE TOLD ME MY PHONE WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX. (So uhhh you want to stay away from that moron..) After that my battery started to malfunction on my phone to make things worse so I took it to the Apex location of Batteries PLUS. I AM SO GLAD I DID. I went in and told them what happened and the technician there named Phong immediately opened my phone to diagnose the problem. He then showed me that Philip had skipped steps and just basically did it all wrong. So I guess it wasn't impossible to fix. Phong was super nice, helpful, careful, and efficient. My phone is back to brand new condition and I'm really happy. read more

Great place when you need a cell phone battery, or a special light bulb. Wife really liked the bulb over the kitchen sink and when it blew, we couldn't find it in any local Wal-Mart, Lowe's, or Home Depot. Showed it to these guys and was back in my truck maybe 3-4 minutes after I climbed out. They also replaced my iPhone battery in about the same amount of time. Great place. read more

I am very grateful to Batteries Plus in Apex/Cary for fixing my iphone5. My battery was not charging and Verizon told me that I needed a new phone because these types of batteries were "internal" and could not be replaced.. I used to go to the Batteries Plus in Decatur GA regularly and had excellent customer service so I assumed it would be the same here. I was wrong. When I walked into the Apex store there were three guys hanging behind the counter and no customers. I came in looking for a deep cycle battery for a trolling motor for my Kayak. One guy reluctantly came over to talk to me. I told him what I was looking for, A deep cycle marine battery that weighed as little as possible because I was going to be putting it on a kayak. I told him it was for a trolling motor. He asked the specs. I did not know anything other than the model number since I had just bought it. He said he needed that info to be able to help me properly. He did not offer to go over to his computer to look it up for me. Nothing. I asked if I got the smaller battery and it was not enough could I bring it back a trade up for a larger one. He said no. Once it had been used there are no returns. I said fine and walked out. This is not what I was accustomed to from a Batteries Plus store. Usually they are more helpful. This place was a total disappointment! read more

AAA quoted me at $150 for a new battery. Found Batteries plus Bulbs online and decided to call real quick. Watson quoted me at $108 over the phone. I want to take a minute and thank Phong and Josh at Batteries Plus and to provide a glowing review of the service I received today. This morning I dropped my IPhone 6 in the parking lot which resulted in a shattered screen. Although the phone was still working it was pretty much useless in my opinion. Recalling my wife opted for AT&T insurance when we upgraded to the 6 I called to see what steps I needed to take to have the phone repaired. AT&T was kind enough to point me to the ATT.com website but was not able to discuss the process as Asurion is their claims provider and was who I needed to speak with. Based on the quick research I did, it looks like my deductible was going to be $150-$200 and would require receiving a refurbished IPhone 6 as a replacement and would have to send the cracked one back. So I'd have to back up my IPhone 6, restore to a new device, hope everything transferred over and try to wipe the old one clean before sending back. This would have me taken countless hours to do and no real guarantee my phone would be the same. In addition I suspect there would have been a few days of processing/shipping involved. I recalled seeing a sign in Batteries Plus that they repair IPhones so I called the store closet to my home. Josh explained pricing, indicated that they had parts in stock and had a technician onsite that could have me on my way in about 30 minutes. So my decision was this, I can spend about the same amount or less than my deductible, only take about 30 minutes of my time, would not have to backup/transfer/restore on a new device and would rid myself of a cracked screen on the same day I broke it. It was a no brainer! I showed up at the store and I'm quite sure Phong could have finished in less than 15 minutes if I he was not providing great customer service by answering some of the questions I had, showing me what he was doing and identifying the potential challenges I could have run into had I tried to this myself. I was very pleased with my decision to let an expert handle this as I'd likely still be filling out the paperwork to get the claim started. Great customer service and will recommend these guys to anyone I see with a cracked phone screen! read more
