I believe my phone was hacked when I used someone else's computer at a car dealership, or I did something to a Google setting that royally screwed up my phone. Google voice was overlaying over my regular number, I couldn't access any of my Gmail accounts etc. I went to Geek Squad and got some issues resolved, but my ability to actually use my phone to make calls still wasn't working. I then went to Spectrum store who was useless, except they said remove Google voice so that helped me make calls. But everything else was still a mess. Being new to Orlando and driving around blindly because my map wasn't working, I had to ask people how to get somewhere and stumbled upon ubreakifix by accident. Giuseppe was very nice and professional and after playing around with some settings got some more of my phone to work while I was in the building. I didn't leave my phone, or have anything cracked to fix, but he did help me with what I needed so shout out to him. And for the record, all phones are designed to fail by the manufacturer so I would keep that in mind when trying to revive an older model phone. read more

After being told I was imagining the difference in my iPad display quality after the screen was replaced, it was discovered the store replaced my Liquid Retina LCD screen with a basic LCD screen. Kudos to the Windermere ubreakifix for the discovery. The Windermere store advised ubreakifix does not carry the Apple Liquid Retina LCD, so the only option for them was to use an inferior replacement part. I thought I asked the Winter Park store if they would use Apple parts but I DEFINITELY was not told they would replace it with an inferior part that would affect the quality of images on the iPad. Customer Support offered a $50 credit toward a future repair, on a $350 inferior repair. At the very least, the technician should have advised they could not replace my screen with the same original quality. I would have taken the iPad somewhere else, but I would have been grateful for the honesty and still a potential future customer. I've since learned that BEST BUY makes repairs with Apple parts. That's where I will go to fix this problem and all future repairs. read more

I brought in my husband's Kindle because it wouldn't open up to the next book. The young man started looking around in it and figured out the issue very quickly and was able to reset it I asked him how much but he said, "no charge." I was, of course, very happy and would be confident to bring anything else in to this location to be fixed!! Don't waste your time going here. First of all when you go and they give you a time frame to fix it assume that is fiction. I went back 3 times for a fix that was supposed to be 2-3 hours and took 8. Once they give you a quote for fixing assume that is also fiction. They told me I needed a new charging port and Battery $280. I picked the phone up and noticed that the microphone no longer worked. I went back and they said come back tomorrow we will have the part to fix it. I did so and now they want an additional $500. The good: her phone screen is fixed The bad: the back is still cracked Regardless of yet another $308 The ugly: when we were there previously they sold us a plan they said would cover our electronics. I specifically asked about phones and they said yes- all your devices. Well that was a lie. The coverage does not cover any phone. The man I called and talked to after my daughter dropped off her phone wasn't listening when I called to ask about it and find out the cost for the repair. When I asked how much it was going to be to fix her phone he said he had to know what type of phone. I said iPhone- but beyond that idk, but he had the phone. He laughed and said I can't tell you how much if I don't know. I repeated he had the phone. He said he had to know that information so I asked him if she needed that to pick her phone up or if she would give her name and why couldn't I just give her name. This went on several minutes because he just would not stop to listen to me say you have her phone. While we were talking I received a text that said it was ready. lol. Still said he needed make and model to tell me how much! Sir!! Her phone is ready for pick up! When she gets there how much are you charging her?? He finally figured it out. So another $308 in the books and the back of the phone is still broken!!!! He told her the machine to fix it is at another store. Seriously? Years ago we went to another location and they fixed her phone- all of her phone. Is this what we need to do? Go to a different location to at least get the whole phone fixed and not have paid another $308 to have a partially fixed phone again?! I'm very upset we were lied to before about the insurance plan. I'm never coming back. I was told the repair would take a couple weeks. My laptop repair took 3 months with barely a single update on the status of my laptop for the entire duration. Fixed, but the laptop is dead and you lost my charger. I now have to wait for who knows how long for my charger to be found. The repair tracking info never updated, except for two times when you asked me to call you back. The tracking information said "awaiting callback" even after I called back, no update; still displaying the same message. I was told on August 10th that my laptop repair was complete, but that you just needed my charger to make sure it works correctly. That worried me, because I had already given you my charger when I first brought the laptop. Then I was told that the charger was found, and that it will be powered up soon. That was August 10th- today is October 19th. Over two months passed and I heard nothing about what is going on with my laptop, and today it's returned to me with the charger missing! it to mention how two different employees told me two different stories about the charger's whereabouts. Today, you said that you don't always see the texts that I send you. How was I supposed to know that? Sometimes I got responses, sometimes I didn't. This is so upsetting and frustrating. I can't even check to make sure the laptop is fixed because it is dead! Brought in an Apple watch for a screen repair. Made the mistake of not testing how good the new water tight seal was. Just after the 90-day warranty, wore the watch while washing dishes. Since then, the watch has had all kinds of issues. Clearly water damage, and definitely because of the new screen not being installed correctly. Repair price is that of a new watch. Total waste. I have a new Samsung tablet S6 Lite which fell out of its magnetic case and shattered the screen. uBreakiFix gave me a quote and said the new part was being shipped overnight. I left the tablet with them. 2 weeks later I still had not gotten my tablet back. Upon making periodic calls to get updates it appeared the part had not been received and the technician suggested I come and pick up the table and take it to another mobile repair vendor.
