I have mixed feelings about this practice. My initial experience with two providers was positive, but it soon became complicated and lost the patient-focused care that initially impressed me. During a recent visit, the PA/Nurse was curt when I raised and expressed the need for review of other related issues. She mentioned it was a follow-up appointment and that those issues were not part of the visit, and she would need to consult the doctor for further review. The point is that the issues were directly related to the follow-up need. Despite needing only 30 minutes, I received pushback, and the doctor seemed annoyed when I asked questions and expressed concerns. This made me feel as if I were being talked down to and treated like a child ultimately the visit was rushed when there was no reason to do so. I was on time and their was no fault on my part and when I scheduled I noted exactly what the need was. I understand that being a practitioner is challenging, especially in a teaching institution, but it is never acceptable for a provider to show the disdain that this provider showed. I will seek healthcare elsewhere and caution others that the care provided by UCF lacks quality, compassion, and care. read more

While the doctors here are okay, (they can be condescending), the office staff is incompetent. This can particularly impact care if you have a condition that requires specialty meds that need insurance prior authorizations. If you have a rheumatological condition, you will eventually need those medications and it would be better to have a doctor with a good back office to handle the insurance companies. read more

I visited the Dermatology Department at this UCF Health location and saw Dr. Weinstein for a basal cell skin cancer spot that was found on my scalp. He performed Mohs surgery and I'm very pleased with the results. Everything healed nicely. He was very conservative and didn't even have to use stitches, which I was happy about. Additionally, his nurse Karen is fantastic. After the procedure she told me I could reach out to her directly, which I did. She's very positive and upbeat! And Akea at the front desk is wonderful! She realized I accidentally paid for something twice (it was totally my fault) and she called me immediately to tell me she was refunding me. Everyone here goes above and beyond!! The space is also very clean and they're still enforcing social distancing, temperature checks and even a separate cup for used pens. A+++++ read more

I was anxious, terrified for this visit. My last visit, almost three years ago, did not end well. That last visit I felt let down, unheard, dismissed and uncared for. But because of health reasons, I had to go. When I made the appt I was informed that the offices have moved from University Blvd. to Lake Nona, on Tavistock Ln. The new offices are very pretty. There are alot of safety measures, the sitting area is spacious, masks are required, hand sanitizers are easily accessible. The woman at the front desk was effective and courteous. She took our temperature. She confirmed some information, handed me some forms to complete. Once completed, minutes later I was called back, weight taken, and walked back into a room. I will admit, I lifted my eyes up and prayed for a good visit, for compassion, understanding, wise, supportive, patient, understanding and kind. In walks Dr. Bhanusali, and prayers answered. She was kind, she was compassionate, she listened, answered with empathy and patience. She explained the process was more a journey to a diagnosis and the plan to achieve it. She offered an assessment that was not terrifying but approachable and let me know we were in it together. I appreciated the time she spent with me, not rushed at all. Her nurse, Kimberly was also very kind, answered all my questions and confirmed alot of the information the doctor mentioned. Quickly tests done, follow up appt made, armed with all my lab and imaging referrals, all done in less than two hours. Grateful for a good visit. read more

5 stars all day long......Ladies & Gents, your attention please. If you are in South Orlando, then you have found your new medical practice. Located in Lake Nona at the corner of Tavistock & Narcoossee Road at Laureate Park. This is NOT a teaching facility but rather a practice in which the Doctors that are faculty at UCF school of Medicine; gotta see patients and teach if you don't want a teachers salary! I've yet to see a student even shadowing anyone. It's just an incredibly well run practice. In fact, I have never once had to wait for my appointments. The nurse actually came Into the exam room and apologized that Dr. Smith was running about 5 minutes behind and they were "very sorry about the wait". Wait? 5 minutes is a wait?? They should have seen my previous dr that was notoriously 2 hours behind schedule. So far my general practitioner & dermatologist are both part of this practice; hands down they are the best. Dr Christopher Smith is not only an MD but he also practices medical acupuncture! What??? It's so nice because he fully believes and uses western medical methods however he also will look at things from a holistic approach as well...particularly if that's your cup of tea. It's never easy to find a good (or great) practice where you've had positive experiences with all the docs. This is the place for me and if you're in this area, then I highly recommend you check it out. read more

I have seen other doctors there as well and the first thing I ask when having to change Insurance is if all of the doctors there are on my plan. I drive from Poinciana and still wouldn't leave Dr Beg or Dr Sami! The whole experience there is great, staff, facilities and service is wonderful! read more

UCF Health has an excellent location in Lake Nona; and, I will have to visit this location several times a year, as my rheumatologist, dermatologist, and gastroenterologist are all out here! I had to only wait a bit, as the doctor was running ahead of schedule due to cancelations. I found the waiting room to be comfortable; and, the coffee is very good! Also, the wi-fi is free; and, it's fairly fast. I had a great visit with the internist; and, picked up her French accent (from France) as my family is French Canadian; and, she was surprised that I got it right! She was very thorough; and, went through my history, my symptoms, my complaints, and concerns. All these were well communicated to my doctor, who came in after. I left feeling very good, with updated prescriptions, and follow-up appointments all scheduled. read more

AMAZING!!! How often does one use that word when describing a doctor's office and everything that happens there? Words alone are simply not able to express just how impressive this particular location is from the physical attributes to the staff and doctors. This is more like a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton experience than a regular doctor's office. Don't be misled that it is part of the UCF Health network. I have NEVER been to a doctor's office in which the experience was more comparable to a luxury hotel than a hospital. Easy to find, plenty of parking, beautiful building and office and the STAFF is beyond accommodating. Nobody seems to wait more than 5 minutes from their scheduled appointment. After reviewing current condition and recent medical history with the RN in the examination room, we were offered coffee/tea/hot chocolate/bottled water while we waited. The nurse apologized and said that the doctor was still with another patient and it might be 5 minutes. What??? We were blown away. We declined the offer and the doctor and RN were back with us in less than 3 minutes and apologized for being late. Seriously??? From arrival to the building and starting the car on the way out, we were there a total of 24 minutes and I did not feel rushed in any way. This is a very impressive operation and it should be noted that they schedule pretty far our but will work you in if needed and they have the opportunity to do so. This billing at this place is horrible. First they don't bill the visits correctly which causes an annual exam to be billed as a doctor visit and not covered 100% by my insurance. Second, they never answer the phone so you can pay the bill that you should have never received to begin with. What a shame to the UCF name. read more

No reason to read reviews when you can read well researched articles in the Orlando Sentinel. The good doctors have left or been fired. UCF never had a handle on the business end - hired Doctors they couldn't afford and went how long at this facility without an X-Ray? This is a low-rent practice in a high-rent area in town don't be fooled. As an elite athlete I was hoping things would pay off with Dr. Michael Seifert. Total fail, he miss diagnosed an issue I was having with my hip - which I might add was resolved at Cora Physical Therapy just a few miles down Narcoosee in six weeks. Those people at Cora are the best. It seems as if the Facebook page for UCF Health has been extremely sanitized. Either they have no patients or remove a lot of the reviews. The last time I visited UCF at Lake Nona I was given this note by the front desk reassuring me Dr. Seifert would get in touch with me... kind of tacky, not on letterhead or even a signature or business card? When I got home I posted the photo on their Facebook page for others to see. Dr. Seifert didn't not call me that night and magically the image disappeared from their Facebook page the next day and I was blocked from making any comments. I've never been treated so poorly at a doctors office. I was rushed and ignored my whole appointment. I went in because of a migraines, I have IIH, and the doctor claimed it was just because of my anxiety. She gave me a shot that I told her I didn't want but she kept pushing, and then prescribed a painkiller but never called it in to the pharmacy. She also told me I had an ear infection but never gave me a prescription for it. I came for a note to help my job accommodate my migraines and she completely ignored me and just wrote a note that said I would return to work the next day. I asked her over and over again to revise the note and she kept coming back with the same thing and then left for the day when she knew I wasn't happy. I had to finish my appointment with a nurse who said she would pass along the request but I guess never did. read more

I have been going to UCF Health since they started the practice. I see Dr. Shazia Beg for rheumatology and she is excellent. She takes the time to listen to her patients and you do not feel rushed. Generally, their offices and support staff are excellent! I have also, over time, seen other doctors in the practice and I have to say that I haven't had any negative experiences. read more
