Stopped in for lunch over the weekend and wow, they have some really great deals that I didn't expect! Plenty of seating, especially at the bar. Sushi was delicious, even though the prices were more reasonable for lunch you are gonna pay a little more than most sushi spots, but the quality is worth it if you ask me! Service was great. Everyone was so friendly. I'll definitely be back. I wanna check out there happy hour Omakase $120 for two people and nine courses? Yes please.

Came here for lunch/brunch and let me just say, the lunch special here is excellent. Extremely reasonably priced food and even better priced cocktail (6 dollars drinks in Cherry Creek at a nice sushi restaurant? Can't be beat). Every drink was extremely tasty and well-crafted. I ordered the Cha Soba Tempura, which is chilled dipping soba with tempura, and the dish was wonderful. It was very light and definitely refreshing, perfect for a hot summer day. My wife ordered the Chirashi Bowl, which expectedly has extremely fresh fish. That said, the dishes were definitely on the lighter side for sure. Will definitely be returning here in the future for lunch/brunch. I think this is definitely one of the best lunch in the area and as a whole, I think I prefer Uchiko over Uchi.

Got a Friday evening happy hour reservation at the sushi bar, it was perfect! The staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. Our sushi chef was James, the head sushi chef. We were greeted with a refreshing sample of a pallet cleaner drink then we got hama chili a delicious melt in your mouth citrus forward hamachi. Then the chef provided us with a sample of mackerel. Then our sashimi of sake toro and hamachi arrived beautifully presented with a side is aged soy sauce. We followed up with hand rolls. The lychee martini was refreshing, simple and beautiful a perfect. The subarashi, a tequila based drink was also refreshing with a peppery rim that added to the experience. Once they brought the check, they followed up with a surprise vegan sorbet and banana that reminded me of a coconut banana fosters.

First time here, its an intimate little sushi spot. I wanna know how long before the interior wood sucked up all the odor. If you have been to uchi, you know walking out you smell like steak. But otherwise very accommodating, the wait can be a bit but server is nice. The madai crudo was balanced, fresh and savory sauce to top of it off. Hard to mess up a crudo. Grilled swordfish was a bit too chewy, wasnt sure if they overcooked it. It was a bland taste, needs the side topping to create a flavor profile which was kind of disappointing since the main showcase should have been the fish. A variety nigiri, fish was great. But the rice is a too sweet for my taste. Needed something savory to compensate for it even a drop of soy would help. But they dont offer any soy sauce or wasabi. Not many restaurants do this unless they're confident in their cooking....

I've loved Uchi in Denver for years, so I was excited to try Uchiko in Cherry Creek, and it absolutely delivered, but in a different way. Where Uchi feels lively and bright, Uchiko leans darker, sexier, and a little more intimate. It's the kind of place you book for a date night when you want the energy to feel magnetic but still refined. One of the most unique elements? The wood-fire section. I've had a lot of sushi in my life, and I've never experienced that subtle, cozy aroma woven into the dining room. It added warmth without overpowering the delicacy of the fish, such a thoughtful touch. We couldn't decide what to order and weren't quite ready for a full omakase, so our server suggested a guided meal curated by her and the sushi chefs. It ended up being the perfect move. She took our hunger level, budget, and flavor preferences into account and paced everything beautifully. As someone who notices intentional hospitality, I really appreciated that. We also asked about a sake flight (they don't formally offer one) but she created a custom tasting experience throughout the meal. Each pour was selected with care, and she even walked us through the tradition of drinking from the overflowing glass-in-a-box style as a symbol of abundance. It made the whole evening feel layered and immersive, not just dinner. Standouts: * Charred smoked edamame (never had them this way...addictive) * Oyster with root vegetable granita (bright, textural, unexpected) * Yellowtail and bluefin nigiri (so fresh they melted instantly) * Rock shrimp karaage tobanjan (the most elevated "bang bang shrimp" I've ever had) * Roasted lobster with trumpet mushrooms, tom aha, and meboshi butter. I would genuinely bathe in that broth. We kept dipping everything into it. The hot rock prime beef with ponzu was beautiful quality (though we wished the stone had a bit more heat), and the smoked salmon maki, while good, just didn't compete with the rest of the lineup. Overall, the experience felt curated, buzzy, and intentional from start to finish. I'll absolutely be back, especially for the wagyu tartare and crispy tuna next time.

Came here opening week for their HH omakase and drinks ! The inside is absolutely gorgeous and it was packed. The HH omakase highlights a lot of their HH menu if you were to order à la carte. It was a good mix of items that we had and for 120$ I thought it was a fair price. I do wish it was more sushi forward but overall a good experience. About 3 courses were seafood. Pork Belly appetizer was a miss for us, felt too dry even with the sauce. HH lychee martinis are the perfect little sip! I had a reservation and it was still packed /- will be back again!!

Uchiko officially opened in Cherry Creek North 2/17/26 -- and yes, it's bringing the heat. From the team behind Uchi and James Beard Award winner Tyson Cole, Uchiko is the sister concept with the same sleek vibes + pristine seafood flown in daily -- but with a smoky, fire-driven twist with a whole "from the hearth" section. Open daily for lunch + dinner, with a strong happy hour 4-6pm (including a 9-course omakase for two for $120). What we loved: - The iconic hama chili from Uchi is on happy hour here, too. - Also present is another favorite from Uchi, the gyutoro (72-hour wagyu) - Seriously shocked by how good the braised celery root dish was (also on HH) - Daily special: smoked akami tataki (lean tuna loin in whiskey san ba zu) - Roasted lobster in creamy tom kha (favorite bite of the night) - From the hearth: grilled swordfish & bok choy in sriracha butter with lemon gremolata (also on HH) We thought the service was impeccable!

Great employees and moody vibes! Be prepared for expected longer wait times because you are getting each dish as they are ready. -crispy tuna rice: tobanjan aioli, chive. Standard crispy tuna rice. I wish the rice was fried longer so it was crispier and I wish there was more flavor in the tuna mixture. -karaage: fried marinated chicken, cucumber, seasonal pickles. Can't go wrong with karaage. Chicken was tender with a nice outside coating. The sauce was not overpowering and paired well with the refreshing cucumbers. -take nabe: seasonal mushroom, koshihikari rice, farm egg added gyutoro. Nice savory teriyaki like flavors. Helped get the group a little fuller with the rice and mushrooms- would definitely recommend splurging to add the gyutoro -braised celery root: gochujang maple glaze, black garlic puree, sesame beurre monte. Very balanced dish, the gochujang was mild and did not overpower the dish. The celery root was cooked perfectly and not mushy. inari: crispy tofu, avocado, red kosho. This is a veggie roll that surprised me the most! The sushi rice is cooked perfectly and the crispy tofu had an amazing like sweet and savory flavor. BLUEFIN OTORO NIGIRI: not as a fatty as I would like and had a piece of chewy connective tissue that I have never experienced before at a nice sushi restaurant HAMACHI NIGIRI, KANPACHI NIGIRI, and sake toro/scottish salmon belly: Standard cuts of fish and expected amount of rice- nothing out of the ordinary. GYUTORO NIGIRI: Everyone at the table got different sizes... great charred flavor paired with a sweet and savory sauce. I appreciate that they brought it out as soon as it got off the hearth. NAMAHOTATE NIGIRI: one of favorites of the night! This had the slightest touch of some sort of ponzu where you could taste some saltiness and a splash of citrus. The scallop was a good firm texture and mildly sweet. NASU NIGIRI: Everyone got different size pieces at the table... but eggplant was nicely tender with an amazing char and teriyaki like flavor. milk and cereal: fried milk, chocolate mousse, toasted milk ice cream. The fried milk was a fun texture and did not taste burnt even with its darker color. The mousse was rich and paired well with the toasted ice cream. cheesecake: calpico, mandarin, yuzu. The star of the night! The cheesecake was crust-less with a nice sweet and tart base. The calpico was made into Italian ice so it's carbonation and bright flavors surprisingly paired perfectly with the cheese cake and mandarin oranges.

We went to Uchiko's soft opening to preview their lunch service... twice. Overall, we were pleased with service and quality of food. Regular menu prices are on the higher end of the spectrum, but this is to be expected for the location, trendy atmosphere, and overall experience. We ordered ko lunch special chicken sando, lunch omakase, crispy tuna rice, several additional pieces of nigiri, dessert tart, and "milk and cereal" dessert. I will note that the table next to us got the ko lunch special burger, and I got a little jealous because it looked so good. Everything was beautifully presented. The seaweed salad was outstanding with crisp matchstick pieces of apple and perfect seasoning. The wedge salad was alright, but super fun and creative. Hamachi was in a bowl of light sauce with fun garnishes and orange supremes underneath. Tasty combination, but the orange slices were inconsistent in size and some pieces were too big. Temaki was very good. Seaweed stayed crisper than I expected. Tuna sashimi was nice. Nigiri was pretty good. The fish on the nigiri was of great quality prepared perfectly for good texture and flavor. The garnishes on the nigiri were creative, unique, and had amazing flavor. I love their creative use of herbs, like cilantro, on some of the nigiri. The kanpachi had garnishes that had southeast asian flavors, for example. A prime example of well-executed, and well-moderated, fusion. The sushi rice in the nigiri, however, was inconsistently cooked (some grains slightly tougher and some grains slightly softer), not seasoned enough, packed slightly too tight, no temperature contrast between fish and rice, and a little too much in quantity given the size of the fish. Don't get me wrong though, the sushi is really good. These are nitpicks against my opinion of absolute sushi perfection. I would give it a nigiri score of 84/100, which is average in top tier for me. Chicken sando was crispy and juicy, but not my favorite. I can't put my finger on why. Maybe it was chicken seasoning, maybe it was the sauce... just not to my personal taste. The fries were very tasty with some sort of seasoning that gave it a savory kick beyond just salt and pepper. One of my friends wanted ketchup with his fries, but they didn't have ketchup. I think it would be nice if they had any kind of sauce to serve with the fries. The tart was very good, but definitely felt out of season. Reminded me of fall. I would probably order it again though. The milk and cereal dessert was super creative with many components that integrated well. The best component was the captain crunch haha. Service was very professional and friendly. I don't expect everyone to be a sushi expert at a place like this, so I just brushed it off when the wait staff kept incorrectly naming the fishes presented to me. So if you get your nigiri and they start telling you what the fishes are, take it with a grain of salt. You come here for an experience, not to nerd out on fish and nigiri. If you want to nerd out on nigiri, like I sometimes like to do, then this is not a good place to do it. For nigiri purists and needs, there are other establishments well-suited for that need. Overall, 5 stars from me because they are doing what they set out to do very well.

We went to Uchiko back in February during their opening week. We had gone to Uchiko Austin and love Uchi here, so we were super excited for a Denver location. Unfortunately, the service was actually bad. Our server was nowhere to be found for long periods of time, and they also kept bringing dishes that weren't ours to the table and then taking them back (3+ times). We did the omakase where your server chooses items based on your budget, which we do this at Uchi all the time, and it was actually shocking how little food we got for the pricepoint. In all, we got 3 small dishes and 4 pieces of nigiri each for over $150 per person?? We had to go way over budget to have a filling dinner, which has never happened before at Uchi. I'm willing to write it off as opening pains, but we're going to wait a loooong while before going back and just go to Uchi instead.

I came in for lunch at 11:30 and sat at the bar. It was pretty quiet when I arrived, but it definitely picked up in the time that I was there. Rachel was my main server and she was friendly and attentive. I was surprised that they have a lunchtime happy hour and I got a delicious $6 lychee martini. Can't beat that! I did the $29 prefix lunch special. The brussels sprouts were amazing! It had a little tang to it and I appreciated that they left a big water bottle so I was never left thirsty. The burger was also good, but I was pretty full after the brussels sprouts, so I took most of that to go. There is a seasonal sorbet and it sounds like it changes pretty regularly. Mine was a coconut lychee, which was great. The servers who dropped off the food described it each time. I thought it was an awesome deal for lunch!

Good, but not THAT good. I just feel like for the price I paid I should have been mind blown. The meat / Wagyu was absolutely fire - that have that nailed but everything else was okay and expensive. Ambiance is cute, and right in the heart of cherry creek.

PJ was our sushi chef who just recently moved from Miami to Denver, & introduced us to the most delicious plates he takes pride in preparing in front of us! Ambiance was nice for a Monday dinner, great customer service and fast delivery of the most well prepared dishes! It was a beautiful evening with PJ taking special interest in suggesting some of his fine dishes, explaining about the process of preparing, ingredients preparation and what is the best way to eat the each dish! The pallet cleanser drink they offer at the beginning is just a beginning to an outstanding dining experience! After having our well prepared and well explained dishes, ( including their signature to-die-for Woodfire edamame appetizer), our chef suggested to try the milk and cereal as first time experience: it was heaven in a bite! I feel the name doesn't do it any justice! The handmade vanilla ice cream with chocolate mousse and soft small bites made out of cereal with a creamy milky inside that explodes in your mouth is a whole different story! PJ was telling us exactly how to save each bite and he was so right: it was an unforgettable dining experience! We live down the street, but we never thought about dining there up until a friend suggested it so we walked in on a Monday evening and it became our favorite place to hang out ever since! Good as to all the chefs and staff working there to their professionalism and great customer service!

Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.

Parking can be annoying (if you come to Cherry Creek you know it sucks) but once you're inside, it's great We got sat at this cute table that was set up, kind of like a cattycorner booth, perfect for two. Our server Marvis was great, he greeted us so quickly and talked through his recommendations for cocktails. I ended up trying the Yuzu margarita, which he said was the best drink on the menu, and I absolutely loved it. My friend had a lemon drop and also thought it was perfect. We started with the magic mushrooms appetizer - I almost looked past this but It wasn't mushrooms at all. (Thank god). It was really unique and yummy. I thought maybe they could elevate it a little more by adding some additional seasoning to the shrimp or even leaving it raw to accentuate the cold avocado in the center., but it was still really good. The nigiris were the standouts of the evening. - we tried the seared Ahi tuna, the grilled scallop, and the Unagi. Words cannot describe. If I could make a meal out of Nigiri alone, I would but with just two pieces per serving. It definitely adds up quick. We also got the big kahuna roll and the Pittsburgh roll. The big kahuna was delicious, with a spicy kick at the end thanks to the jalapeño. had a lot of depth of flavors and good texture. We finished off with the Ube crème brûlée, which was really rich and very Ube forward, definitely a unique and yummy dish. Prices are pretty standard for the area, for all this we each ended up paying about $80. Can't wait to come back and try more, and hopefully sit in Marvis' section again!

I came in alone, sat at the bar, and ordered a beer, sake, and maguro and shake sashimi (I made a point to specify, since we've received nigiri by mistake before). The order still came out as nigiri, and when I asked to have it corrected, the server told me, "when you don't specify, nigiri is default." I reiterated that I had ordered sashimi, and he took the dishes back to the chefs just a few paces down the bar and said, "she didn't ask for this, but we need to redo these as sashimi." After that, I asked for my check because the interaction felt unprofessional. When he returned, he asked if I wanted the sushi to go, and I said no. He then went back to the chefs and said, "I don't know what's wrong with her," and asked them to cancel the order. I still tipped on my bill, but I left disappointed. We'll continue coming back because we've always loved this place, but I hope the service is more respectful and consistent in the future.

He even brought out the different steak cuts and explained each one in detail, which made ordering so much easier. The service was attentive from start to finish. Jacob timed every course perfectly, checked on us often, and even helped box up our leftovers. His friendly energy and attention to detail truly elevated our meal. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The tuna tartare, steak tartare, steamed mussels, and French onion soup were fantastic. The porterhouse, Delmonico, and lamb chops were all cooked perfectly, and the sides and desserts, especially the chocolate soufflé and cheesecake, were just as impressive. A nice bonus was that dining here reduced our valet parking to just $7.50. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back, especially if Jacob is our server!
