Came here with friends for a birthday dinner, as it was one of the only sushi restaurants with a good amount of vegetarian sushi options (one of the group doesn't do fish, but loves good vegetarian sushi). It was a cool interior, nice sushi bar, and our server was fantastic- she even noticed the birthday when checking IDs and ended up bringing out an unprompted birthday dessert at the end! As far as the sushi, it was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but everything was tasty. The only real critique I would offer is that nothing was spicy- and everything I ordered mentioned "spicy tuna", "spicy crab", etc. I love a nice kick of heat with my sushi, so that was the only slight disappointment. However, the cost for a party of four including drinks was a pleasant surprise! I have paid much more for much less. Might have to make this a go-to when I'm wanting sushi!

I have to thank Hannah for bringing the old guys to one of her favorite spots in Denver. Go Fish is a great sushi place in Denver with an extensive menu. I was slightly concerned when we arrived as there was no one inside, that quickly changed and as we were leaving, it was packed to the gills. The service was funny, quirky and our server was very patient with all the special orders. Go Fish has a dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu which deserves a star by itself. Thank you Go Fish team! Everyone's order looked and smelled amazing. There's no blandiness here. My eggplant and tofu rolls were good but seriously the stars of the table were everyone else's plates. Hannah's dinner was plated expertly and looked delicious. Another diner's bowl was huge and the flavors in the steam was delightful. Two other diner's had stunning plated sushi. Overall, this was a great experience for all of us.

I finally came for Happy Hour. They offer it weekdays from 2pm-6pm and Fri-Sat 10pm-2am. I sat the Sushi Bar. I noticed several items not available during lunch, otherwise prices were reduced. I got a 12oz draft of Kirin beer for $5, the Ahi Tuna salad ($10) and the Chicken Karaage ($8). The beer was excellent. Plenty of chicken pieces with a spicy dipping sauce. The Ahi Tuna salad was misadvertised. I got 4 pieces of Ahi Tuna over a few leaves of greens. No mixed greens, tomato or cucumber. The tuna was buttery. I was still hungry, so I added the Volcano roll from the regular menu for $16. I was served by Riski P. He was quick. The dining area was clean and well cooled.

Go fish has the absolutely hands down best vegan/ vegetarian sushi menu that I have seen at a non vegan restaurant. They have some amazing combinations including a green chili sushi?! That being said, the gluten free options are sparse and they do not have a separate menu so you must ask for any item you are interested in. The staff was not very knowledgeable on this either so if you have celiac I might avoid or be ready to interact with the kitchen. They do only use a shared fryer as well. But they do carry soy paper and tamari! I did really enjoy the few rolls I was able to try, the eggplant roll was a showstopper and I adored the tofu pockets. My spouse loved the spicy edamame and their rolls. This is a great place to bring all types of sushi lovers! In the future I would LOVE to see allergen markings or a separate allergen menu available to customers!!

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. Our server Matt would always make sure to leave behind the sauce from every dish without us having to ask, which we appreciated. The menu items had some unique pairings and names I haven't seen before. The place offered outdoor seating as well as indoor options. Tons of parking was available in the back as well. Inside felt very moody with the lighting and well spaced out between tables. It was quite busy when we went but the service for even just our appys felt quite slow. Other than that the food was good and the desserts are not to be missed! They partnered with neighbouring dessert shop "Sweet Action" to create their ice cream dessert which I thought was a great idea.

This was our first time and it being Sunday we were unable to get the happy hour or weekly specials. The service was quick and friendly. The place looks small but has ample seating indoor and out. I liked that we could see the sushi chef and cook in the back. The rolls were make to order and you can tell everything is fresh and crisp. They were filled with amazing ingredients and very tasty... the rolls are a must! I'm glad we went in and will try again next time we're in Denver!

Go Fish has stood the test of time and has proven to be a reliable spot for sushi. Prices are right with no rolls over $20. You never leave here hungry. I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back. +Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo. +Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce. Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. Weather permitting, sit outside on the patio!

Stopped in for lunch during a recent trip and it was okay. I asked the server what vegetables were in the vegetable tempura and she didn't know so it was a gamble. Our gyozas were cold but I could tell they would have been good if they were hot. The air vents and the fans were covered in dust and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. My family was 50/50 on who liked their food and who didn't. We'd possibly check it out again.

In general, it's been a laid back, go-to place to get a meal that will be much better than average for the price. I've been many times since before and after COVID, and it was one of my favorite repeatable spots in Denver. However, the crew totally dropped the ball with our visit today. My wife ordered a tonkatsu ramen and got a chicken tonkatsu set instead (chicken cutlet, not bowl of ramen). To not make it weird, we just let that one be for the greater good of the table because it was our anniversary, grandparents were visiting, and we are here often. Our hamachi kama (one of my favorite dishes in the entire city, normally something I'd highly recommend on this review) was never sent to the kitchen, leaving us waiting for over an hour with two young kids at the table who had finished 40 minutes before. I watched the staff's confusion from my seat, even after we had been told that it was on its way. It was never even started, and it was obvious. That stuff happens, but it's hard to hide what happened in an open kitchen where you can hear what people are saying. But then after they had the "oh crap" moment, it wasn't even expedited. It was gonna take so long that it wasn't worth getting, so two people had to leave our not-busy lunch without getting the main thing we brought them to Ototo for. We were asked to wait for the dish, waited 15 more minutes, and it was not even close to ready. And while I appreciated the apology, the manager initially just tried to "take the dish off the bill," a dish we never received. So he basically tried to do nothing because no restaurant would charge for something that never came out. After I pointed this out, they took off part of the check, but that attempt at nothing under the guise of a comp was crazy. I've easily spent thousands at Ototo over the years. I've sent tons of people to Kizaki, Temaki Den, and the others. This will probably be the last time I go to Ototo. If you read some of the recent bad reviews, something is not working here anymore. I hope the otherwise amazing service at the other Dens can find its way back to Ototo.

However, with that in mind, it's not the biggest restaurant, so definitely call in advance to put in a reservation if you have a bigger party, like ours. I want to add, to my amusement, that they have Shohei Ohtani themed dish menus here. The Japanese love him, no matter where they're at or from (as an LA adjacent native, this was pretty funny). For our visit, I got: 1) Negitoro Don: -It's a minced fatty raw tuna mixed with green onion on rice. -I've had this before at a fancy omakase and after that I've fallen in love with negitoro. Goes great with the sauce they provided. Can't go wrong with crispiness of the breading and skin. Chicken was moist too. Good stuff.
