The ENT who was treating me had concerns about doing any further work and couldn't quite pinpoint the reason for recurring sinusitis (as seen by CT). That ENT was great because they knew they were at their limit of expertise and recommended Bhandarkar to review and take any further action. In Dr. Bhandarkar's office, they have an endoscopy machine, and he's extremely adept at using it. He can instantly look into your sinuses and visually see what is occurring with no discomfort. Usually, when I've had in-office endoscopies of my sinuses, there's some pain, maybe even bleeding afterward. No issues of pain or discomfort at all. He'll show you and explain what he's seeing, so you know what's going on. Unfortunately, there were some issues with my prior sinus surgery, so I needed to have revision surgery. They did an outstanding job of working with me and my insurance to be sure everything was adequately pre-approved with my insurance. The results of the revision surgery were exceptional. I don't get the severity of the sinus issues I previously had. I'm able to exercise a lot better now that I can breathe a lot better, as well.

Christian the office manager is unbelievably rude, doesn't return calls or emails in a timely manner and talked to my Mom, child and I like we were complete and total idiots. I only go here because it's one of the few places our insurance will send us. I never understood the entitlement behavior of those in the medical field. You are not better than me because you work for a dr. Spare me. Kindness is free and Christian and Tenasha thrive on being rude and causing pain to others.

I went in for a consult about an elective procedure - not the procedure itself, just a meeting to discuss potential side effects. The entire visit took about 10 minutes, but I'll be generous and say it was 15 minutes. Dr. Verma did a laryngoscopy that took less than 2 minutes and then explained the process for the procedure. I learned nothing new about the procedure that I hadn't already read on Reddit. But fine, this initial consult is required for the procedure. Figured it wouldn't be that expensive to just ask a doctor if Reddit was right (BTW he confirmed Reddit was, in fact, a good resource to learn about this procedure). When I got the bill for this "consult" I figured there had to be a mistake. They had billed the office visit as a code 99205 at $974.00. That was **in addition** to the laryngoscopy code 030575 at $592.00. That's a cool $1,566.00 all-in. Dude's billing $6,264 per hour? That's Beyonce money. If you look up the description for a code 99205 "provider visit", you'll find it's typically 60 minutes with a comprehensive history, comprehensive exam with high complexity decision-making and an extensive amount and/or complexity of data to be reviewed. This exam was none of those things. That's called insurance upcoding, my friends. This was a code 99202 (99203 if I'm being generous). My insurance adjusted his $1,566.00 to $1,035.79 and then billed me $530.21. I spent about 2 months trying to get Dr. Verma's office to bring the billing code down. Always difficult to reach, always referring me to the billing department at UCI Health (who couldn't do anything for me), but I finally got the office to lower the provider visit code. These MF'ers lowered the 99205 at $974.00 to a 99204 at $739.00 and said that was the lowest Dr. Verma was willing to go, like he was doing me some big favor now. And then, of course, somehow my insurance increased what I was responsible for. I finally had to say F it and just pay the bill. So all said and done my 15-minute exam to rehash what I read on Reddit cost me $556.10 and my insurance paid him another $497.38. Complete f'ing scam. I ultimately decided against doing the procedure before I got this first bill, but man I'm glad I didn't go through with it because if this is what he's charging for a short office visit, I'd probably have to file for bankruptcy after doing the procedure. I would have been better off setting fire to $556.10 cash than doing this little office exam. Then I at least would have gotten some warmth from the flames.

I was lucky that someone had cancelled while I was making the appointment so I was able to see Dr Sun the same day otherwise the following day was available which was still reasonable. I planned on having my ears cleaned while I was there as they have the latest suction equipment/ device and the process was extremely quick and effortless to handle the task. I arrived, filled out the paperwork, and was in and out promptly. Dr Sun was friendly and professional - no issues.

The window sill ledges on the sides of the building were so rotten that you could probably put your finger through the wood. I'm assuming the lease costs were VERY low and a big factor in the choice to set up shop here. The inside was much better kept, with some effort obviously put into making it look much nicer than the exterior. It looked and smelled clean inside. The ladies behind the front counter were very nice, but couldn't find match appointment I'd made 2+ months ago, and had no record of me in the system. Luckily I had my referral info available on my health provider's online portal, and they were able to get me in to be seen after completing the intake forms. Dr. Nguyen was very nice, professional, and fully explained the root cause of both issues I came to see her for. She was not able to provide solutions for either, but did demonstrate exercises/massage that can help with one, and a type of OTC device that helps some people with the other. She did not attempt to sell me any snake oil medicines or devices, and explained the other solution isn't usually effective for most people. I appreciated her honesty and professionalism in regards to all of that, and walked away with a good impression of her and her practice. Overall I'd suggest not judging the office from the exterior, but make sure to head in with your referral just in case of issues with your scheduling.
