A Little Kid Wonderland -- Clean, Creative, and So Much Fun! I went here for a two-year-old's birthday party, and this place completely blew me away. Walking in feels like stepping into a perfectly crafted mini town built just for kids -- every tiny storefront, every little prop, every corner is full of personality and charm. The amount of detail is honestly phenomenal, and you can see the love and creativity behind it the minute you step inside. One thing that impressed me right away was how spotless everything was. The floors, the play areas, the furniture -- everything looked fresh and clean from top to bottom. Kids wear little non-slip socks (which I love), and parents wear booties over their shoes to keep the play spaces clean and safe. That simple touch made the whole place feel extra cared-for and well-maintained. It even smelled clean -- not like chemicals, but genuinely fresh, like a place that's cleaned often and cleaned well. You can tell they take real pride in keeping this space beautiful. Once the party got going, the kids were in heaven. They were running from the salon to the market to the vet clinic -- completely immersed in pretend play like they had stepped into their own tiny city. Their imaginations lit up in every direction. One minute they were doing hair, the next stocking groceries, then suddenly treating stuffed animals at the vet. They even have a bright, colorful LEGO wall that adds an extra burst of creativity and charm to the space. It's such a fun touch, and it fits perfectly with the whole imaginative, kid-sized world they've created. And each of the places where the kids "spend money" has the cutest little cash registers stocked with pretend dollar bills and coins. The kids were ringing each other up, paying for groceries, taking orders, and making change -- it turned the whole experience into fun little "transactions" that made the pretend play feel even more real. Watching them hand over tiny bills and "count" their change was absolutely adorable. I even pretended to get my hair washed, cut and styled at the salon! On top of that, they also had a blast at the firehouse, putting on the little fire jackets and helmets and pretending to race out on a "call." Then they were pretending to "make and serve" pizzas in the pizzeria like little chefs, and taking turns "serving" food at the diner, which looks like a mini restaurant straight out of a movie. Every play space is its own world, and the attention to detail makes each one feel magical. Even the adults were amazed. I heard several parents say, "Wow, I've never seen anything like this!" And honestly, same -- the whole setup is unforgettable. They also have the cutest little soft-play area just for the tiniest tots (6 months to 2 years old). It's enclosed with a charming white fence and includes a soft slide, a mini ball pit, and cushioned toys made just for crawlers and new walkers. It's thoughtfully designed, safe, and gives the littlest ones plenty of room to explore without getting mixed into the bigger-kid excitement. The party setup was honestly so cute! They served pizza and juice boxes, which the kids loved, and the table was decorated beautifully with bright colors and fun details that made everything feel extra festive. The photo nook was absolutely adorable--the balloon arrangement, the "Happy Birthday" sign, and the little character cutouts created the perfect spot for pictures. It all came together so nicely and made the whole celebration feel really special. Everything from the design to the cleanliness to the overall experience was top-notch. I really can't say enough about how well put together this place is. I can't wait to bring my grandchildren back here for some playtime -- they are going to absolutely love it. If you're looking for a fun, creative, beautiful, and incredibly clean space for a birthday party or just some imaginative play, this place is a must. I'd recommend it without hesitation!!

Definitely recommend & would come back! I'd say this place is great for kids 5 and under. I brought my two girls (5 & 1) here to play & they both had a blast regardless of the age gap. The facility was clean & also smelled fresh - it was very welcoming! The gentleman at the front desk was very kind, professional and informative as well. They had a great snack station & drinks along with a cute small gift shop area. They host birthday parties as well! Glad Waldorf has a place like this for our little ones finally instead of traveling to larger cities next door to us!

Thank you so much to Mrs Fraizer & Mr Bob for such a beautiful day! Your play centre was absolutely amazing it was our first time there and we absolutely loved it, we will definitely be booking another birthday with you guys in the future it was magical!! Everyone was so lovely , kind, helpful and pleasant to be around!!! Thank you for making our son day so special it meant the world to us! The decorations the cups cakes were so detailed and actually thought about and I felt your beautiful spirit and heart put into it. I Would recommend your play centre to anyone! We look forward to celebrating Kylins 4th Birthday with you guys! Gloria Hughes

The cutest, cleanest, friendliest play place and we finally have one in Waldorf. Customer service is so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is so aesthetic and cute. I caught myself getting caught up in imagination play with my 3 year old! We had a blast. All the little touches in here so adorable!

This play place is absolutely amazing! It is like a little world made just for kids, with so many fun and creative areas to explore. Your child will love pretending to be a firefighter in the mini fire station, running the grocery store, and styling hair in the kid-sized salon. The attention to detail in each space is incredible. It really sparks the imagination and keeps little ones entertained for hours. What stood out to me most was how clean and well-maintained everything is. You can tell the staff really takes pride in keeping the play areas safe and welcoming. Speaking of the staff, they are wonderful, friendly, attentive, and so great with children. It is rare to find a place that combines this level of fun, creativity, and professionalism. If you are looking for a place where kids can learn, play, and pretend while parents have peace of mind, this is the perfect spot. We will definitely be coming back again and again!

I love that we finally have a unique place for children in the area! I brought my niece and nephew on grand opening day and they did not want to leave. The owners are beyond professional and you can tell they took their time in making this space safe and fun for children. They also offer party packages that do not disappoint, definitely a one stop shop for children's parties. If you're looking for a black and family owned business that caters to children this the place for you!

Could have saved half the cost by just buying for 2 kids. You definitely don't need more than an hour either. It's really loud, so it's not great for autistic or sensory sensitive kids. My kids don't enjoy water directly in their face, and there's nowhere to go that doesn't have water landing directly in your face. There's nowhere for adults to sit, and it's a small room so there's residual splashing everywhere; wear pool shoes even if you don't go on the play structure and are just supervising the kids. During the 5-minute breaks once per hour, it would be nice if you could use the adjacent pool I but it was occupied with aquatic sports teams. Staff were very friendly, and the overall sports/rec facility looks huge and very clean. Locker rooms were very clean as well. For our family, however, it just wasn't worth the price paid nor was it the type of water park that would work for older kids or autistic kids.

I wrote the following note to the staff at Scramble on February 2nd. I received no reply - it…read moreapparently registered no concern with them. I am writing with some concerns about the way my family was treated by your staff on Saturday morning at the Alexandria location. First, let me share that my wife and I discovered Scramble at Christmastime, and have now been several times to both the Alexandria and Falls Church locations. I felt we had discovered a true gem - a place where we could retreat with our now two-year-old for a morning or afternoon of fun. The whole environment is designed for fun, and I appreciated how inclusive things felt, as we interacted with your staff and strangers with smiles all around. But our visit on Saturday left us feeling unwelcome, embarrassed, and like second-class citizens. We visited the Falls Church location a few weeks ago and asked about birthday options outside of hosting a party, because we envisioned a very small gathering. The staff member there explained that if you do not book the birthday package, you cannot bring in outside cake or balloons and that we would only be able to purchase food from you all. Got it - all good! We invited two friends and their little ones to gather with us on Saturday morning, we paid the entry fees for everyone who joined, and we ordered a few pizzas to enjoy while our little ones ran around. We were first approached by your staff member, Cora, shortly after receiving our food. She came to our table and told us to move the two tables that we had pulled together apart. Her approach was curt - she didn't start by explaining any rationale for what the issue was - she simply gave us the directive. I asked her if she was serious because of the tone - I was honestly surprised - and then she explained that it was a fire hazard. So we moved the tables apart and returned to our fun. About twenty minutes later, while we were all away from the tables where our belongings were sitting, Cora approached again. This time, she snatched a gift bag while my wife was nearby. She told my wife that gifts were not allowed, and proceeded to move it outside of the play area. I intervened to ask her what the issue was, and she explained that we could not have a gift without having a party. I then went to the front desk and spoke with her and the party manager for a while to ask what the issue was and to share that I felt like we were being targeted because we had two separate interactions, and none of this was explained when we checked into the venue. We are not rule-breakers. I am fastidious in honoring the rules of any space I enter. My wife jokes about me being too straight-laced. I understand that Scramble has rules, and have no desire to work around them. I believe that this interaction could have been resolved through a simple dialogue where a member of your staff could have politely shared the policy and asked us to make a shift. Instead, we felt like delinquent teenagers, and the experience was deeply embarrassing and off-putting. Our guests, visiting for the first time after our rave reviews, wondered what the issue was. After Cora removed the gift bag without approaching us to explain things, I felt unwelcome and uneasy about even staying. I felt the message she sent to us was that we were second-class citizens that day - those deserving of respect at your establishment are those who pay a premium for expanded services. And I could not help but wonder if the interactions would be different if half of us were not people of color. I am not sharing this because I seek retribution against Cora. I share this instead, hoping that your establishment can be more considerate of your guests. You say that your mission is to "provide extraordinary play for all children"; I hope you will consider that the environment you create for families has an impact on your ability to attain that mission.

I feel obligated to share a deeply concerning experience at Scramble in Alexandria so other…read morefamilies can make informed decisions. Last October, while I was 7 months pregnant, I visited with a friend and our toddlers. We had been regular customers, but this visit turned traumatic. Several older children repeatedly harassed and frightened our kids, and when I addressed the adults supervising them, one woman physically assaulted me--striking me multiple times in the face. What was most alarming was the complete lack of response from staff. Even after I called for help and was attacked again--while holding my child--employees stood nearby and did not intervene. The situation escalated to the point where I was being choked, and it was ultimately another customer--not staff--who stepped in to stop the assault. Police were called, but the attacker fled before they arrived. Afterward, I was told that staff are instructed not to intervene in altercations, and incredibly, both the attacker and I were banned pending "review." Despite the severity of the incident, management never followed up with any apology or concern for our wellbeing. Additionally, Scramble was unable (or unwilling) to provide identifying information or footage to the police, despite requiring waivers from guests, and staff indicating this individual had been involved in a prior incident. This experience was not only physically harmful but emotionally traumatic, especially for my young child who witnessed it. While we are grateful to have since welcomed a healthy baby, the lack of accountability and basic safety measures at this establishment is deeply troubling. I cannot recommend Scramble to any family that values a safe environment for their children. I love that there are also crafting options, some tables with puzzles as well. In a shopping area so plenty of easy parking. Your child gets to pick a snack at the end which helps with the "I don't want to leave" tantrums Cons: The price is hefty $16 for 1.5 hours. It's hard to get behind this when I can go to a place like me land in chantilly for $10 and unlimited play time with a much bigger space and a lot more to do. The snack helps with that but still, at this price I'll come maybe every other month. At $10, I go every week sometimes multiple times a week. The space is small and they are cleaning while you're playing, in such a small space this feels rude/ puts unneeded pressure on the customer. Especially since they have a gap to clean before the next time slot. Overall: I would come again but not often due to the price. If you have a really crafty kid and only one younger kid I feel the price might become worth it. If you have kids in a spread out age range, or who don't like crafts, or you don't want to deal with the stress of having to be there at a certain time, and leave after just 1.5 hour. There are certainly better options both from an affordability standpoint as well as quality.
