Positives: Great gym with nice quality equipment. I enjoyed going there but I moved and needed to cancel. This is where they fall short. Negatives: I cancelled in person and they had me pay one month after cancellation as their policy. So I paid for a month that was unnecessary but ok, it's their policy, understandable. Yet, that month they also charged me for personal training that never happened and then the following month charged for my gym membership despite it already being cancelled over a full month prior. Then they also charged again for personal trainings another month after the cancellation ended. I called multiple times to address this issue. Told to talk to two different people Cassandra and the person in charge of the trainers, who never seem to be there when you call and even sent an email where I never got a response. They seem to take your money and won't give it back no matter what. For this, I am rating them badly. Gym is beautiful, but their business practices are not proper. Be aware of this when you sign up or cancel. You will still be charged and then ignored when disputing. read more

You would think the gym would be clean because it is new but the bathrooms have been dirty. They also ran out of soap at night and this was at 9:00 pm. The machines aren't as bad though! Most people clean up after themselves and put away the equipment respectively. I love this gym! At first I honestly thought, "What am I even going to do here?" lol but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've taken Zumba, Glute Lab, and several HIIT classes, and I recommend them all. I've also started using the treadmill, which I used to avoid because I thought I hated it but it turns out I just didn't know how to use it. At UFC, the treadmills are super easy and comfortable to use. I also really enjoy the sauna (love it!) and I've recently started swimming in the pool. The recovery room is amazing and such a great bonus. Most of the coaches are really good. There was one instructor in a weekday HIIT class who felt a bit unprepared and the class wasn't very engaging, but Kiara's Saturday HIIT class is fantastic I absolutely love it. The gym is huge, has so many options, and for the price it's honestly a great value. I had a weird moment were I was stretching and I had barely finished... there was so much space for this trainer to do her workout with her client and she began training her client with an elastic band right over my head while I was putting my stuff away. She had ZERO spacial awareness and it was just very rude of her to not even let me know that she maybe needed that spot but other than that the people who workout there are far more kind. read more

I'm a frequent UFC gym go-er and I always recommend UFC to everyone but I cannot recommend this location for now. I've been to this location back to back since grand opening so this isnt even a review based on a one time visit. I understand this location just opened up but I wouldve hoped management invested in staff to keep this location nice and operational. My standards are set high from Rosemead location and this location fails short for a few reasons. Sanitation station are limited and lack solution. Even in the past 2 days I've been coming consecutively, the sanitation spray is empty or there are no bottles. Also there are lack of trash bins. Overall cleanliness. I understand theyre still less than a month from grand opening but theres still ton of equipment, boxes, etc laying around. The restrooms in the past 2 days has not had soap in the dispenser. They have the pump dispenser mounts and the ones on the counter and only the mount has been having soap yet the past 2 days, there has not been soap replaced. I noticed the same pieces of trash in the locker room like nobody is taking maintenance to sweep in there. The lowest floor by the stairs and weight area has a urine odor (I know cause I work at a hospital). In general, construction for this location is not fully complete so some areas are still blocked off. Staff is also non existent at the entrance but also no form of greeting. Parking is bad during peak hours but thats not their fault. The lot is just small. This is all just in comparison to Rosemead location. I only chose to come here cause its closer to home and theres more variety of equipments/machines. I only hope to provide this feedback so there is improvements in the future. read more

Dirty facility , staff is unfriendly, machines are scattered randomly throughout the gym. You know it's filthy because the health department closed down their hot tub. And the gym does not enforce its Bjj, mma, and boxing participants to wear shoes around the gym and in locker rooms. The members step out even into the restrooms and back onto the mats. There is an outbreak waiting to happen. The urinals smell like they haven't been cleaned in weeks and you can tell they haven't because they're full of the same gum every time I would visit. I feel everyone has such high standards of their gym based on how much they pay. As someone who has had 2 memberships at different luxury gyms (equinox and john reed), I feel that UFC is the best bang for your buck. I pay for the premium because I work in Boyle Heights but live in the South Bay so I like the option of going to multiple places depending on traffic and my mood. I also travel often and I have seen UFC in multiple countries and I'm excited to train in them. This location is new so of course the machines are well kept and fresh. For the love of g0d everyone, clean your stations! Every time I'm working out I do see cleaning staff vacuuming but you're responsible for the sweat dripping off (or not off) you. I'm the type of gym person who cleans the machine before and after use or even the slightest touch and I think that will keep the machines well kept. This UFC is HUMUNGOUS! Three stories with the top being cardio forwardp; the middle with the machines for legs, hiit, and arms, and ufc ring; the bottom having the punching bag room with classes with additional glute machines and free weights. While it could get crowded after 4pm, I didn't find it difficult to find an alternative machine to work on any workout. I do wish the machines were more strategically placed , ie., all the leg machines on one floor, all upperbody on another, etc. The facilities are absolutely clean and I love the option of the recovery room. I really really really wanted to like this place. The staff and the shower room make it really hard to want to keep coming back. The shower pressure is awful. Someone stole all the hairdryers apparently! They won't be replacing them. When I asked about the shower pressure I was met with defensive behavior and was told to use the one shower stall that has good pressure! The jacuzzi isn't warm enough or it rarely works. I am consistently mis-informed by the staff. Then when I come in to ask about the same exact thing I called about I'm then told something different. Cons: - To get quality instruction, quality, and sparring/rolling opportunities with diverse groups you probably need to pay extra for the comp class package and private or semi-private classes. - Not enough women. - Inconsistency in quality of coaching and safety. - Some things are still closed like sauna, swimming pool, etc... - App is wonky and only way to get things figured out is go during the week when Cassie is around. - Class tickets don't print out for me even though I'm not waitlisted, but print out for the person after me. - Private class policy messaging inconsistent. - Julian, the Assistant Manager tries to make things sound like deals, but they aren't. - Still didn't get my free shirts. Overall: I give it a 4, because for the price I purchased membership at it's a great deal for a gym, and some fun class offerings, guest priveliges, and kids klub. If you are looking for martial arts training that us more than just cardio, you probably will have better luck and get a better deal looking at places that specialize in the specific sport. Ugh. first there was inconsistent timing with kids club. Not opening kids club with the hours they have posted. THEN they reduced the kids club hours. I also have witnessed a male staff member enter (in and out) kids club to flirt with the female staff in kids club while kids are there. Maybe keep an eye on your staff??? I hope all employees have had to follow a background clearance like they have staff in schools do since they work with children. Today, they said they would be closing early at 8pm on their social media page to honor 2 holidays, which i understand. But myself and my partner show up at 7pm and they have a sign posted "closing at 7pm" today. This location NEEDS to be consistent with their information and also send members updates via the app or email not just social media posts. Seems like management doesn't care. I signed up as a founding member of the gym back in August, so I was super excited for the grand opening today, Jan 31. It's 3 levels with a full octagon, cardio, group classes, recovery, free weights, a pool (under construction), jiujitsu and striking room... it just doesn't end! Tons of staff and everything is brand spanking new. The one thing I'll be carefully watching is the cleanliness and upkeep of the gym. The UFC is a very respected brand and I hope they keep those standards in the maintenance of this gym. It would be a shame if it went the way of dirty LA Fitness / 24 Fitness. I've trained at several UFC Gym locations, so I'm comparing this gym to the standard I've experienced at other locations--not to an unrealistic expectation. For the monthly membership fee, I expect a clean, organized, and well-maintained facility. Unfortunately, this location consistently falls short. The restrooms should be kept spotless. Equipment should be readily available, and the gym should be properly stocked with basic workout necessities. This location doesn't even have exercise mats, which are a fundamental piece of equipment for many workouts. On top of that, the dumbbells are often locked inside the classroom, limiting members' access to equipment during workouts. Another ongoing issue is cleanliness. I've noticed ants in the classroom on multiple occasions, which is concerning in a fitness facility. There also seems to be a lack of attention to keeping the sanitizing paper towel stations stocked, making it difficult for members to wipe down equipment after use. I also pay for a children's membership, and that experience has been equally disappointing. I've been able to observe many of the classes firsthand. Unfortunately, the classes often become chaotic, and the instructors don't seem to establish or maintain control of the group. I've also noticed that incorrect technique frequently goes uncorrected, which is concerning in a sport where proper form is important for both learning and safety. Considering that the children's membership is not inexpensive, I expected a much higher level of structure, instruction, and coaching. I also want to acknowledge that I've had consistently positive experiences with the front desk staff. They've always been friendly and welcoming. However, my experience after joining has been different when it comes to membership sales. There seems to be a strong focus on upgrading memberships, and those interactions haven't felt nearly as welcoming. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've trained at other UFC Gym locations that were consistently clean, organized, fully equipped, and well-managed. I know the brand is capable of providing a much better experience. I'm leaving this review in the hope that management takes these concerns seriously. I had to cut my workout short because of this. I have been to this location several times since they open and I notice the member are generally younger and are very inexperienced with gym etiquette. Yes, parking is bad on peak hours, but the walk from other parking areas are less than 2 min if that. aaaannnnnd you add more steps to your day. 3. The culture is awesome, not only from the employees, but from the people working out inside. 4. Classes are fun, take advantage of the knowledge from awesome instructors. 5. Recovery room, sooooo worth, a little pricier, but worth it for my old man bones. 6. Restrooms/Cleanliness can be just a bit better, but let's be real, THEY JUST OPENED, give it some time to grow into the perfect home. 7. Putting weights back seems to be the talk of the town, but hey I do my part and really that's all that matters. Be the change you want to see and maybe you'll inspire someone to not be a turd. 8. What is wrong with UFC Gym Alhambra? Honestly... just about everything. From the moment you walk in, the customer service is disappointing. Most staff don't acknowledge or greet members unless they're talking to someone they're interested in. During recruitment, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Now it's usually a quick "hi" and that's it. The front desk often seems disengaged. Staff are on their phones, texting, headsets on, scrolling on tablets, or flirting with members instead of paying attention to the gym or helping people. The gym itself feels poorly managed. There's a member constantly shouting across the treadmill area, creating an unnecessary distraction. Attachments on the second floor are always missing, whether they're being stolen or the gym simply isn't replacing them. Either way, members are left searching for basic equipment. The layout makes very little sense. Dumbbells are on the third floor while EZ curl bars are on the second. Why separate equipment that many people use together? The turf area is frequently occupied by group classes, limiting space for everyone else. Some classes are led by amateur fighters rather than experienced instructors, which is absurd. The overall setup feels confusing and poorly planned. Basic maintenance is lacking. Paper towels are often unavailable, the jacuzzi still hasn't reopened, and the sauna barely gets warm. Members rarely rerack their weights, and staff don't seem to enforce gym etiquette. Some employees also come across as overly cocky, acting like wearing a UFC staff shirt automatically makes them important. Professionalism goes a long way, and that's missing here. Even issues that existed when this was LA Fitness, like the unreliable water fountains, still haven't been fixed. It honestly feels like the building was given a fresh coat of paint, a UFC logo was put on the wall, and everything else stayed the same. Their social media presence isn't much better. It feels disconnected from the actual member experience and doesn't seem to understand its audience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at UFC Gym Alhambra today was frustrating from start to finish. I came to the gym specifically to swim laps and was about to enter an open full-size lane when a swim coach abruptly told me I couldn't use it because she needed it for a lesson. When I asked why the lesson couldn't use the other available lane, she said lessons take priority. My issue isn't that lessons exist--it's that there was no signage, no reservation system, and no indication that paying members could be displaced at any time. If lessons take priority, that policy should be clearly posted. If a trainer needed a machine for a client, would it be acceptable to walk over and tell a member already using it to move? That's how this felt. I was forced into the smaller lane, which was too narrow for me, causing me to scrape my knuckles on the walls while swimming. While trying to finish my workout, an older man entered my lane and swam directly toward me, trapping me in a corner. It was uncomfortable and felt unsafe. I had to yell out for him to use the other lane with the male swimmers. After finishing my laps, I went to use the jacuzzi only to find it shut down. Then I headed to the locker room, where the overall condition of the facility became even more disappointing. The restrooms and shower areas were dirty, the locker room looked poorly maintained, many stalls lacked toilet seat covers, and the sanitary trash can doors are swinging open hitting the toilets wtf?? For a facility charging premium membership rates, basic cleanliness and hygiene should be a priority. The most disappointing part is that going to the gym is already intimidating for many overweight people. Simply walking through the door and committing to improving your health can be difficult. When you're made to feel like your access to facilities is secondary, policies aren't communicated, and the environment feels unwelcoming and poorly maintained, it makes that challenge even harder. I committed to a membership that works out to roughly over $600 over three years because I wanted a place where I could improve my health and feel welcome. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, dismissed, and disappointed. Between the lack of communication regarding pool access, the unsafe swimming experience, the unavailable jacuzzi, the cleanliness issues, and the overall disorganization, UFC Gym Alhambra has a lot of room for improvement. I don't like this gym. The music is LOUD and they are playing the worst rock ballads of all time. Trying to speak to a manager while Meatloaf is screaming in your ear isn't very pleasant. The "recovery" room is a gimmick with wonky saunas and a red light bed that would need to be sanitized after every use. The central area with the Octagon is ok but there are classes there every hour and it's not amenable for open workouts especially hitting the bag while people are running around. The bottom most floor is the most uncomfortable experience of them all. The boxing/kickboxing room requires you to take your shoes off while slipping all around in your socks trying to punch at bags lining the wall. Fretful and annoying. The free weight and squat rack area has ceilings so low it feels like it's going to crush you. The fluorescent lighting it's oppressive and migraine inducing. Whatever. I know it's just a paint job over the LA Fitness that was here. But this gym is a big bad Jenga tower of punishment. read more

Shady practices are used to get you to sign up with a promise of easy cancellation and a refund and the manager, Brian, even gave his personal phone number but calling him or the gym doesn't lead to anything being done. I went in person 4 times and still nobody was able to give me a clear answer about getting a refund and it seems like I was just given the run around. Ultimately, I was told that I could just call instead of going in person but now they are trying to charge me again so it seems like they never intended to refund me in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone and all the previous reviews about their manipulative sales tactics and difficult cancellation are true. 7-6-26 2300 hrs. Just finished at Alhambra UFC gym. No paper towels and 2nd and 3rd floors. But my biggest concern which I have repeatedly advised the two managers at UFC is the security. No cameras in the back parking lot...UFC loves our monthly payments but doesn't care about our vehicles getting broken into. Lets talk about the driveway leaning from Main to the rear parking lot. As I walked down the driveway I immediately noticed how super dark it is. I asked the young lady behind me if this alley was was to dark...she said it was and should be fixed. I can take care of myself....but a young lady walking at late hours. I've told my daughter's...there not going late. And if UFC can seem to put security as a priority....LA Fitness here i come ...back. It's not that hard UFC personal...a light bulb and a Best Buy security system...pretty cheap. Get on it UFC. It often seems like anyone can walk in without proper accountability. Coaching quality has also been underwhelming: disorganized instruction, minimal attention to members, and a lack of professionalism that doesn't reflect what you'd expect from a branded franchise. The "recovery room" was heavily advertised, but it feels more like a marketing gimmick than a legitimate wellness space. It does not match the image they sold. If you're signing up because of those amenities, temper your expectations. The most frustrating part has been trying to cancel my membership. You cannot cancel through the app. You cannot cancel over the phone. I've gone in person three separate times trying to locate a manager, and no one could give me a clear answer or resolution. That kind of runaround feels intentional and extremely unprofessional. For a brand with this name recognition, the management and customer experience fall far below standard. I hope someone on the UFC Gym*Alhambra, either management side and/or corporate reads this! I have been a UFC Rosemead member since it opened up. I thought transferring to this location, to be closer to home, was the right move. Not only did I regret it, but decided to transfer back with the UFC-Rosemead family....apologies for ever leaving. I understand there are some hurdles when things start up. The Alhambra gym has some nice machines, BUT, there's a lot of work to be handled, and managed. To the GM, please PLEASE have someone on the maintenance / janitorial side do their job! With the two weeks I lasted there, I lost count with how many times I noticed the mess, filth , trash left behind throughout the gym. For being a new facility, It's not a good look and representation. At one point, a gym member was cleaning the countertop of the sinks because it was disgusting. Also, there is absolutely NO GYM ETIQUETTE with the younger crowd attending this location. It feels like, us older folks (25yrs +) are constantly picking up weights after them. Don't know if this crowd is from the Planet Fitness, or elsewhere. Same goes for the cleaning up after themselves. Hopefully, with the negative reviews AND complaints, they get this sorted out. Good equipment. Friendly staff. But.... Hot tub is set to about 85 degrees. Should be 104. Lockers don't have numbers on them = super confusing. No towels!?!? Showers are absolutely terrible as the water just barely comes out in tiny jets. Drink machines only accept cash and no one has cash these days. I've been a member at UFC GYM since this location first opened, and unfortunately cleanliness and sanitation have been an ongoing issue. My most recent experience was especially frustrating because the kids club was already at full capacity during peak hours. If management knows these are the busiest times of day, staffing should reflect that. A lot of parents choose this gym because the kids club is included as an amenity, so it's disappointing when we can't even use a service we're paying for. What was most concerning was seeing one staff member trying to manage around 20 kids at once. That's not fair to the employee, the parents, or the children. I really hope management takes member concerns seriously and improves both sanitation and staffing moving forward. read more

Good gym but they don't even have the sauna on the mornings in the men's locker room. It's off by 5am and for whatever reason they turn it on later like 11am. Like today it was still off at 10am. I love ending my workouts in the sauna and it's pretty upsetting to see it off when the gym is open 24 hours and I'm paying over $50 a month for my membership. This has been a constant problem still since they opened in February 2026. Other patrons and I have told their front desk just to be brushed off. Be wary if you like the sauna like I do. I would give 0 stars if I could, and the gym isn't even open yet. I signed up in August 2025. I emailed the manager Brian Sherman to cancel a week ago. No response. I call the gym today (December 2025), and Megan tells me they can't cancel until the gym opens (now expected to be end of January 2026). That is an outright lie. If they can start a contract, they can cancel a contract. This kind of lying, deceitful practice confirms what I suspected from the beginning. This gym is honestly a mess and needs some serious basic upkeep. The locker rooms and bathrooms are consistently filthy. Cardio equipment like treadmills and stair masters are crusty with dried sweat, and the music is blasted so loud it completely overpowers my headphones even at full volume. To top it all off, the classes are totally mediocre. I just walk out feeling like I didn't even get a decent workout in.
