I used to come here when it was Ballys. They have changed the layout of the main gym. It looks brighter and has some equipment that can use some TLC. The locker room (womens) doesnt look like the other branches with the "spa" esthetic wooden like lockers. They remained the same as it once was. Parking is public, but there is a structure devoted to LA fitness, and it is always empty. A good place to practice driving if you have a student driver. read more

ROSEMEAD, LA Fitness located at 3508 is Terrible! It use to be good place not its the worse and the Staff is very pushy and treat you like your in High School. The steam Room never works and the girl in front tell you its working when its not. Jacuzzi is always dirty and smells bad. Sauna and the Pool are totally filthy. I seen roaches and bug in the gym and the mens Locker room. I don't who the new Operation Manager but he or she should be fired. Also the front desk in staff is also the worse I have ever seen it and witness it to be. Especially, the one girl who was recently hired, a heavy set light skin girl that gives people are hard time checking in. I think they call her Celelia. She is Bossy and Nasty, to us as we check in. She gives always give us attitude. And , we do nothing to her to treat us this way. I guess because we are Spanish Speaking and she is does not. She looks down on us, we are just good hard working people and come to the gym to work out. We don't need drama or her telling us things. who does she thinks she is? I will not renew my membership here, I dislike this place now. It's going down hill and the staff are really new and seem to hate there jobs at the this Rosemead LA Fitness! What a sham this Gym's Management has been not only do they not fix thing here an d if they do it takes months. Also they do not Clean the gym very well, its so dirty always and the Staff all seem like they are pissed. Maybe that the culture That the new Manager has created there! Because they continue to hire rude people to work there especially for the Front. The Woman staff who check you in are mean spirited to members and act like the do not care about members. The really lack skills sets for the job. Get rid of these loser types that add to the gym's decline. All the staff here does not does not get it; they should understand that the members are the bloodline that brings money in to keep the gym operating. The staff seems not to care here at Rosemead. Been coming here for a couple months in the early morning. And honestly I can say WORST LA FITNESS I've ever been to. First off The cleanliness is 5 out of 10. Janitors are too busy conversing with members they know. Hardly cleaning Locker room is filthy most of the time and no attachments on any workout equipment. Most members are elderly using the locker as a spa. Very annoying. Front desk worker Valeria is a very off putting and NEVER has a smile on her face. Ignores me when I say good morning. And always has a bad attitude. Also anytime I ask to input my phone number to check in, it always seems to bother her, like sorry you have to enter 10 digits. So hard. I Already filed complaints with corporate and management about her rudeness and unprofessionalism. Managers don't seem to care about it. So keep that in mind when you think about coming here. If you want a good working gym with nice staff and equipment go to Baldwin park or West Covina. Very nice gyms. This one is my last resort for sure. read more

I've been consistently coming to this LA Fitness every morning for the past 3.5 months--wahoo! As a morning workout person, I really appreciate how much calmer and more manageable it is compared to the evenings, which can get pretty busy. The gym is always clean--there's staff constantly wiping down machines and keeping the place tidy, especially in the early hours. Some of the machines are a bit worn, but it's never an issue since there's usually a newer or well-maintained one right next to it. Big shoutout to Jessica at the front desk! She's super friendly and always welcoming in the mornings. Her professionalism and positive energy help start my day on the right foot, or two! read more

Talk about traveling back in time. This gym takes you back to the 80s/90s theme feel which hasn't been well maintained. The art and everything is outdated-treadmill, weights with rust, the upstairs with a racket ball court which no one uses, just a waste of place. If you don't want to feel motivated then this is your gym. LA fitness you can do better.. like hire cleaners during your prime time. Terrible terrible terrible...... I came to the morning Zumba class 15 mins early trying to secure a good spot and the class had started already like 3-4 songs in... whaaat? .. the room was full and you couldn't see the teacher at all. I guess the teacher comes in early and just starts. I talked to management to either change the class time on the app so I know it starts at 8 instead of 8:30 or follow the app. There was no space to move, you can't see the teacher at all and the regulars know it happens early so they are already there. I just left :(. C'mon LA Fitness, do better! Give us all a chance to be part of the class and Teachers I know you want to start but start at the correct time or just change the time to an earlier time so we know to be there early and make sure everyone can see you not just the regulars, be aware of new students. read more

After leaving a phenomenal review to applaud two LA Fitness Pasadena Roaemead Blvd employees, I now must discuss the below average and unprofessional equipment technician. I've been an active member since 2019 and the past two years I've noticed many cardio equipment down for service. I've also noticed the same equipment maintenance technician who arrives every Thursday attempting to fix several machines and those same machines remain inoperable or halfway complete after his service. This is totally unsatisfactory especially with the amount of paying customers utilizing the cardio equipment daily. The equipment maintenance technician displays a lack of care or concern for the job. I truly hope this situation gets resolved very soon. If I could I would give this review ZERO stars. read more

Saw the similar stuff again today. "selective application of certain rules". People of lighter skin tone are allowed to bring big bags (which is fine) but if you've darker skin, yeah the rule is you can't bring gym bags to the floor. I know this is LA. Be it blunt or sharp, racism is normal and expected here. But why not to make it official, you know. Just mention in the rule who does this rule apply to or for whom it's not applicable. lol. Most people will be cool with it. Rather than creating confusion or indirectly targeting people of darker skin color. read more

The weights aren't in the right place, not a single worker coming to fix the weights. Weights all throughout the gym, trash all around the gym on the ground & on the equipment, probably one of the worst LA Fitness I've been too. They need to hire more people to keep this place clean & organized. read more

This review is for the high quality personal training I received at LA Fitness from master trainer Jonney! Training with Jonney was my second experience with a personal trainer. He really took his time teaching and explaining all of the different techniques and how I can adapt them as I got stronger. I saw a major difference in my strength. The reason why gyms have a bad reputation can easily be traced back to gyms like LA Fitness. My mother and sister had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Jesus, a staff at LA Fitness that helped them sign up for a membership. Originally my sister had intended to see if they could get a trial since my mother hadn't been to a gym before and wanted to see if it was a good fit, but Jesus told them free trials are not something LA Fitness offer anymore to potential customers. Instead Jesus sold a membership where my mother paid for 3 months of membership, and if she doesn't like it within 14 days she would be able to cancelled with refund. After about 8 days, my mother ended up not liking the facility because she found hygiene to be seriously lacking. She saw people spitting and walking with outdoor shoes into the sauna. That's where I come in to assist with the cancellation, and I also had the unfortunate pleasure of interacting with Jesus. Tell me why it took me 4 calls to reach him and he was so unhelpful. He informed me that we must have misunderstood since refund is only given if we cancelled after 7 days. Funny thing is that my sister wrote it down in her notes what date they need to cancel, and even confirmed the date with him verbally twice -- only to find out the date he gave her was completely wrong and he was not apologetic. It's one thing to be incompetent, but it's another to be that unhelpful and dismissive. He couldn't cancel the membership or fix the issue. None of this would've happened if we were just given the correct information in the first place. After getting nowhere with Jesus, I called the front desk hoping someone else who may be more competent and unfortunately-- the final boss of misinformation Taylor the manager is who I spoke with. She gave us yet another version of the cancellation policy--this time saying the refund was only available within 5 days. I reviewed the contract myself and, yes, she was technically more accurate than Jesus. But what frustrated me the most was that she reassured me that we wouldn't be charged the annual fee since we cancelled within the 14 days stated on the contract. AND GUESS WHAT, we got charged for the annual fee! My sister had to call Taylor because I couldn't handle another call with any of the staff there-- incompetence in the LA Fitness team made me stressed out. My sister ended up speaking with Taylor and in her own words, Taylor was rude and dismissive. My sister had to escalate the issue to corporate, who actually reviewed the contract, acknowledged the mistake, and confirmed the annual fee would be refunded. I'm only writing this review now since the annual fee has been refunded months later. And you know what is the most hilarious thing, when Jesus gave my sister her business card after signing the contact-- the back of the business card said they offer free trails to new customers. My sister had asked about it, and Jesus said it doesn't apply to my mom. It only applies to current members that recruit new members. After this experience, who in the right mind would ever recommend this gym after such a frustrating experience. Save yourself the trouble! Staff like Jesus is only here to make a sale regardless if the information he provides is accurate or not. read more

This is definitely one of the best gyms in the area. The yoga classes alone make it a great value. Plus they have steam rooms and a coed sauna, as well as a hot tub and a swimming pool for laps. On your initial visit, the gym sets you up with a complimentary consultation and a workout with a trainer. I met with Jerry who was super friendly and helpful. What a dive and dump this Gym has become under the leadership of Taylor and District Manager Melissa. They both are low IQ managers that have no people skills or managerial skills what so ever. if you bring up any issues or point out a problem to them they get defensive and feel threaten If your thinking of joining don't nothing ever works. In the last month the big Sauna outside was down because of a piece from the roof fell down and almost hurt someone. For the past 3 month the steam has been down off and on and it's old and always broken. The irony here is that they take months to fix if they fix. And no one ever know anything or when things will get fixed. What a shame and a sham. They are already taken hours away from us from there schedule and now their sticking it to even further when things don't work and they take our money In the last 2 weeks the had someone break in to the Men's lockers and 4 members got there stuff stolen, right in front of the cleaning guys who said it's None of there business and close the Gym on at 9:45. Thus we lost 1 hour and 15 minutes of privileges. Last week someone that was manding the front deskj Quit on Taylor he had had enough of her B.S, so she was upset because she had to stay all day because she had no more workers, so she took it on the members by closing early like 10:30. Last night, there were two clean up guys and one was pissed because some had made mess up top, so in Spanish he hell with this pedo it was horter cleaning guy so when to the back and turned down the lights. At 9:49 it was Kaos, people got scared and the person in front that were suppose supervising that night started yelling at member's to "get out, saying we are close now. No only is this rude and unprofessional it's show that LA fitiness does trained this workers on what to do if something happens. That real put members in harms way. I witiness on old ladies in the wet areas stung and frozen they did not what had happen our what to do. There am old with cane that came out of the dry scared and he trip by the outside shower, all while being yell at my the front desk women to get out. This show no class but no sensitivity to humans who really did not know what was going on. I was in the shower when the lights when off put was on in certain areas In the Janitors area and the storage and close areas all the lights including and the lockers where on. So it was not power outages as Taylor had said. That was completely false. Because the emergency light would have been trigger and what have came on if there was an outage. I called Edison and they said that was a negative no power outage whats so ever. So the shorter Janitors got pissed and turn off one the lights that affected the wet areas and left side of the gym. So he could get even wirh members and so he could get to go home early. LA fitiness members should be afforded with better then this type of behavior and never have to deal with these messes and treatment again by staff. Taylor should be fired and staff should all be trained so they have higher standards and can be professional when things happen. read more

Place has turned into a dump, locker rooms smell like human waste. Floors always dirty and they give you excuses short handed while there sales and trainers sit on there asses. Never any soap in the showers, manager gives me same excuse for a year people break them , yet the day before there 4 dispensers and not one had soap. Called 5 times to coroner the last year and still noting gets done they tell me we will send email to regional , again nothing gets done goes for Monterey park location to if they have soap it's always watered down , montebello just smells like human waste from There shower pipes . These managers just don't care sit on there phones and collect a check . Gen Z at there best doing nothing thinking there entitled to a pay choked. read more

Christian was the most patient and helpful person i've ever encountered at a gym. Customer service was a 10/10, it really shocked me how kind he was over the phone. I had so many questions I felt embarrassed to ask but he was happy to answer all of them with kindness. When I decided to go for my first visit thankfully he was there in the front, he remembered me and continued to give 10/10 customer service it honestly made my day! I had a great experience. I ran into a guy named Christian & the general manager, Noah they helped me out very well. I understand how everything works. I didn't know much about machines, but they showed me everything and made me feel really comfortable. Dirtier gym ever..... cheap place.... No wet towels anywhere. They need to do something about it.

My son is taking swimming lessons here with waterworks aquatics. The pool is unreasonably cold for children. Even though this issue has been brought to the attention of the manager by the instructors, nothing has been done to fix the situation. Also, the swimming pool looks dirty to me! I'm not sure how often the pool is cleaned but it can't be healthy for anyone - especially for children who are potentially inadvertently drinking water during lessons!!! As a side note (not the fault of la fitness) but for parents that are considering lessons at this facility, there's the possibility of grown men exposing themselves in the pool area. The other day, my son saw a butt-naked grown man trying to enter the jacuzzi. He came with a towel wrapped around his waist, then took off his towel as he tried to enter the jacuzzi completely butt-naked! Thankfully, the men in the jacuzzi called him out immediately and he angrily stormed into the men's locker room. Waterworks does provide a small changing tent poolside to avoid kids having to use the locker rooms to change. read more

I really like the LA Fitness location. It's convenient, generally clean, and has a good variety of equipment for both cardio and strength training. Parking is usually easier than other LA Fitness gyms in the area, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It can get busy during peak hours, but overall it's a solid, reliable gym that gets the job done. read more

Anthony the "general manager" offered increased rates then tries to play it off by offering you a deal, but that deal is the original sticker price. He has sleazy sales tactics and would take advantage at any opportunity. Not to mention the gym is dirty, Smells musty, equipment looks like it's never been wiped down and weights are scattered everywhere. The reviews tell the truth, do not waste your money here. this company is Giving horrible service and pretty much all there gyms suck. there being cheap and not taking care of the gyms poor hygiene. most of there gyms have mold and I'm getting worried of getting sick.this location at city of Rosemead is one wort locations cause it's poorly maintaned and half the stuff is broken or out of date. the shower grills for the floor are all loose and I almost fell. I got a Lawyer and looking to take them too court . the sauna is always broken and take forever to fix it. the staff at this location don't care and are super lazy . looking for a new gym now.they always clean and scrub floors while people are in the locker rooms, that should be done before or after hours . crunch is a better gym too look at , same price but more professional gym read more
