*****DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO JOHN'S in Lexington, Illinois ****…read more This body shop is where we took our newer vehicle that got damage by a flying piece of tire debris only 3 hours after we bought it from the dealership. We took our vehicle here on the recommendation of a friend. Initially looked like it was gonna be a decent shop, but that changed rather quickly. This shop that does mediocre work. I say that because they supposedly fix cars for a living, but the customer has to point out damage that they said was fixed but wasn't. They called and said your car is done. Get there to pick it up and damage that we showed them when we dropped it off wasn't even addressed. So we leave it there to be fixed. During the time the shop had the vehicle in their possession it was damaged on the opposite side. I know this for a fact, because we have photos from when we bought the vehicle and their photos from when it was dropped off to be repaired. During its time at John's (ANTI) Auto Body Shop. Someone damaged my vehicle. We pointed this out to them and were basically brushed off and told we didn't do it. As not to go into a lengthy post. They said not our problem and have a nice day. The owner flat out said they weren't doing anything about it and to turn it in on a new claim. We tried to explain that the damage was not there when we bought the car or when we dropped it off. It's a deep scratch on the right side about 5 inches in length. I am generally willing to be understanding and try to work with people, but I take exception to someone calling me out and saying that I'm lying about something I know for a fact wasn't there. I was forced to make this group and post to help others avoid mistakes and getting treated like this. Take your car here at your own risk. Their work is shoddy and mediocre at best, especially when you have to point out what they should have seen when they first worked on it. In closing. If the owner is so sure his guys didn't damage my vehicle, then why did it take me pointing out work they missed in the first place? Obviously not too sharp or attentive to details and talking out both sides of his mouth. A pic of the damage and the others for reference when it was dropped off. No scratch until we went to pick it up.

Could not be happier with the quality of the work and the customer service. If you are in…read moreBloomington or Normal, it is worth the drive!

I took my truck for a scratch and small dents on drivers side of the bed of my truck near the fuel…read moredoor. It took over two weeks when I was told one week. When I went in to get the truck and I was trying to ask questions to Tim the owner about making sure that the topper was sealed back correctly he started helping another customer that came in after me and when I asked him he was rude and made a smart-ass comment that it was just a topper! They are understaffed and I get that he is extremely busy, but no reason to be unprofessional with a customer, so three days later I drive to Chenoa and opened the back topper and tailgate and found two of the clamps laying on the truck bed floor and the other two loose!!!! Thank God it didn't fly off going down the highway!!! I also asked about the glass/ceramic coating being put back on my truck and he was snotty again saying that the paint had to cure first, then his wife said for three months before I would be called to let me know when to bring it back, first time I was told that ever and I assume if I didn't ask wouldn't have been told! Will never do business with them again!!!!!

I walked in with my 8 yr old son at 1:15p, and couldn't find anyone, but then I saw a guy who I don't think worked there, I said I needed an estimate, he told me the owner was in the other room. I walked in, said hello and said I needed an estimate, and I got an angry, red-faced stare from Masching (owner), not a word, just awkward silence. I asked if they'd like for me to come back, he said that he was eating lunch and we were interrupting. Masching has a rep for being a jerk, I knew I'd regret going there but it's near my home. He has a busy shop so I doubt he cares what I trhink, but if you want to deal with friendly people with good work ethic and sensible hair styles go elsewhere. what a tool.
