Hard to prescribe new or update medications when they don't know my history. Seriously thinking about going to another health care provider. And talking with other patients who have experienced this also. Many are not happy with the service being provided.

She was told she was being admitted due to a severe infection. they moved her from one room to another in the ER Department, then after 1 more day, sent her back to the nursing home without any treatment except for a "dose" of Antibiotics and a "hope you get better soon" type of deal and they released her based on the 2.3 seconds the "doctor" (not even sure he's legit licensed to practice medicine), saw her and said she was "good enough to go back" despite the fact her blood work, and lab test results were still pending and hadn't been reported back to the nurses. Along with the fact they gave her antibiotics she is allergic to and of course said "you'll be fine" Hands down WORST hospital and staff I've ever had the unpleasantness of dealing with.

We had an excellent experience, and I'm so glad we didn't go to one of the chaotic, understaffed and overcrowded Syracuse hospitals. So worth the extra drive time. I'd go to Hamilton Hospital any time - it's superb in every way.

When I went back for a recheck and to have prescriptions refilled everything went wrong. First I was told I would not be able to stay on my current meds because of a policy they have. That right there would have stopped me from making the second appointment (my medications were seen in my chart on the first visit). Then, I was told my conditions didn't exist. I asked the doctor to call the ordering doctor and he refused. I kept telling him that I didn't think he was seeing the other doctor's tests and diagnoses, but he insisted I did not have the conditions I claimed to. A simple phone call would have fixed the situation. I absolutely cannot recommend a practice that calls new patients liars because they don't see something in their file right away.

'Desiree' checked us in but was quick to tell us it would "be a while because they were doing reports." We sat in the empty waiting room....for over 30 min with no one updating us on when he might be seen...in the EMERGENCY ROOM. His pain getting worse I stepped up and asked Desiree if she knew how much longer we'd be waiting as we'd been there for over 30 min. and his pain was increasing. (Waiting rm still empty except us). Desiree immediately snapped at me "You don't need to come up here with all that attitude!" (The only 'attitude' I had was concern for my husband and at no time during that interaction did I so much as raise my voice. I simply asked the question). Desiree then informed me that there was a shift change going on and we'd have to wait! In the empty EMERGENCY ROOM. I went back and updated my husband who by this time was doubled over. I stood up and asked Desiree if she knew how much longer they'd be before he'd be seen. "How am I suppose to know?" She snapped at me. My husband had enough and stood up to leave telling Desiree that it was crazy to show up in the ER and be forced to wait over 30 minutes in his condition because of 'reports' being done and shift changes. Bottom line: Fox Hospital EMERGENCY ROOM is the WORST! If you're having an emergency please avoid it at all costs, especially at 7:00am when apparently 'reports' & 'shift changes' outweigh the health and safety of patients having true emergencies. Side bar, Desiree literally covered her name tag up with her hand when I asked for her name. She finally uncovered her first name when the security guard walked over. We will be calling Bassett later today to report her and the poor excuse for an EMERGENCY ROOM.
