I only give 5 stars thanks to Bella. She goes above and beyond my expectations every time I get my hair done by her. She is amazing. Not only does she listen to what I want done with my hair but she takes the time to explain what she is doing so that I feel comfortable. She is the only hair stylist I go to now. I even take my sister's and mom to Bella just because of how much I trust her. On top of always giving a great experience she knows her product and is always recommending items that will help keep my hair healthy. I had been waiting for this store to open, and when it finally did I was so disappointed. They mostly have stuff you can get at the Target in the same shopping center, but with a small (higher) difference in price, and some other products I personally don't care for. The main reason I shop at Ulta is so I can get Clinique products (makeup, skin care) and they don't even offer that, Lancôme was my second choice, at least for makeup, but no luck, of course. They have little variety in products overall. I rather go to the Parker and Arapahoe location or just buy at a department store. Hopefully the variety in products will improve in the future, but I'm sure it will most likely stay the same. read more

Hayden at the benefit brow bar inside this ultra is absolutely amazing. I'm 27 and have been getting my brows waxed for over 10 years. She hands down did the best brow wax I've EVER had. She also tinted them, which I was hesitant about at first, but her confidence made mewant to give it a try. I'm obsessed. This girl is unreal at her job. I had an incident here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful except for the manager PATTY. She was just so disrespectful and unpleasant. Didn't want or try to help me and told the other associates not to either and told them to help other customers. I was trying to be very polite and nice. I wasn't being rude or anything. Kinder is AMAZING and has a fantastic way of knowing what you are looking for as she's thorough and always does what you ask of her. She's a true hair professional. Messy... messy....messy. I've waited for this store to open and when it finally did I was so disappointed. I walked in and was greeted, good thing. But that's all this place had to offer. On a Wednesday afternoon this place was just a simple....mess. I was looking at brush sets and had no idea what went where. NONE of them were where they belonged, pricing was all over the map. Everything was scattered. They were not busy at all, I counted 4 associates, none of them looked even concerned about the disaster surrounding them. Yikes! Now, I can't say much about the customer service in general as a store, but I did go in for a cut and color at the salon and am SO pleased! I've lived out here a year now and Elise is the first stylist who I have found out here that's had me 100% happy with my hair. She was super sweet and did such a great job. I will never go to anyone else after finding her. The prices are very reasonable too, plus you're able to pick up any hair and make up supplies while you're there. This is a new ulta that just opened, its alot closer to my house then the parker and arapahoe one i usually go to. I have to say this is THE WORST ulta ive ever been to, for 1 its small and doesnt have alot of brands, like clinique, the one i was looking for, and 2 the staff is terrible, usually im always getting asked if i need help, but this location i had to walk around the store to look for help, when i finally found help the girl that was doing my color match did not know what she was doing and she smelled like cigarettes bad, she matched me with a way darker shade then i am. I had a coupon from their magazine they said i couldnt use it on makeup?? Then she kept my coupon, didnt even give it back to me. Worst salon experience ever! I had got my hair done by Bella at the salon. I was quoted 360! I was like ok if that's how much it costs. Come to find out she is the lowest level of stylist and I had to go get it fixed at another location. I showed the girl the photo and she said yea a full highlight for D1 starts at 100 and if you add on some treatment and a gloss it should be 147 plus 12 for extra batches. So I had to get something I didn't want just because she wanted to charge me 360! I was so mad. Just re assure I called a different Ulta in Westminster and she said the same thing. I called back to this Ulta and sled to speak to the manager and the woman at the salon said they don't have a manager! Are you kidding me so you're just allowed to charge what ever you want at this location! The whole service she made me feel stupid because I went to a cost cutters before. She was like oh no don't go there they don't know anything. Okay fine I get that but you're making me feel like crap. The girl sitting across from her looked at me the whole time like " I'm so sorry you got her" During the service all she did was talk crap about Ulta and the employees there. The girl sitting next to her was arguing with her guest to no end about what she wanted to do with her hair. This place is a shit show. My hair looked like crap. Not only that she didn't even look like a put together stylist. No makeup hair looked unwashed, her leggings were see-through and when she bent over OMG I saw way to much! I'm officially in love with Ulta and this location. You don't have to mess with shopping mall shenanigans or parking much like when you visit a Sephora. You can easily find an Ulta location in your hood with ample parking and great late night store hours like this one at Ironton. I frequent because parking is great, I can stop in late (open until 9pm), it's never busy, staff is always available and knowledgeable - more than willing to help you find drug store products for comparison when you just aren't feeling the designer price tag - and there's never been more than a 2-3 minute wait in checkout. Items are always in stock and they have a feature product each day on sale. Rewards program is worth it, too! Also shares lot with sprouts and target which is incredibly convenient. read more

I came to this Ulta because it's the only store that carries the MAC line in Aurora. I went to check lip liners at the bottom of the display, and notice they are the only product not taped shut. I assumed I could test them seeing as they are NOT wrapped. A "wonderful" worker decided to YELL across the opposite far end from my man and I "You can't do that, and you're going to need to pay for that." She must of assumed I opened a new box which I did not. She apologized bluntly after noticing they were ULTAS TESTERS. She then told me testers would not be available for 2 weeks but will let this time slide. My anxiety sky rocketed after having many people in the store look at me. I would have like to been approached on MY SIDE, and not be accused of such a silly situation or to be yelled at???? I will not be going to this store for Mac products, I'll happily spend my gas and money at Littleton or springs. Sorry for YOUR inconvenience, sincerely a previous ULTA employee. Poor customer service every single time. It's very disappointing because it's so close to my house but it's never worth going. I rather drive out of my my way to go to another location. It's not their fault-it's just poorly staffed. Waited almost 30 mins simply looking for someone to check if a product was in stock. Two girls were at the register and the only other two girls on the entire floor were each doing a makeover. It's such a HASSLE anytime to get help--you have many customers here, why not put more people on the floor so they can be served? Then they walk past you without a nod or smile, they act like you don't exist so you don't bother them lol. Waste of time. Go elsewhere. read more

The stylists were very nice, but my hair is nothing I wanted it to be and I was there for over 5 hours at a price double that of an Aveda Master stylist. The manager had to guide the stylist most of the time because they were both clearly practicing a new technique. I was crying by the time I got to my car. This branch doesn't have a wide selection like the other branch i went to, even though it was larger in size. I also didnt like that some of the price tags werent shown for several products which can be irritating. I bought the suede velvet NYX lipgloss and i DONT recommend it, it has a nice color but it dries your lips out and becomes flakey. There are cheaper lipglosses and lipsticks that are better and cheaper than the 6.99 price tag at ULTA. read more

I had a 5:30 appointment tonight to get my hair colored with Cyrstal. I was at this Aurora Colorado location, Store #1027. Right off the bat my appointment started a half hour late as she was still finishing up another customer. After I waited, I gave her the benefit of my doubt and I asked her for an Ombre coloring. I wanted a gradual color from my original brown to a light dirty blonde. I showed her a picture and told her I did not want an extreme color because I was nervous of how it would look. During my session Cyrstal was very distracted. I was hit in the head by multiple tools and was stabbed by her own hands twice. She kept talking about how she has to watch a couple boys tonight because her sister overdosed or something. It was very off-putting to hear as a customer. While the bleach was in my hair another customer walked up and asked for a styling session. Cyrstal went over to help her saying it would only take a moment and she will be able to do it while we waited on my hair. As Cyrstal was doing this other customer's hair she was distracted again by people who came to visit her at the salon. The other lady was unhappy with her styling and asked to have the other Stylist fix it. She ultimately gave up and left looking very unhappy. When the other Stylist took over for that customer, Cyrstal came to check on my hair. She said she wanted to let it sit a little longer, that it wasn't the color she was looking for. I told her my hesitations and that I did not want it to be too blonde. She said not to worry and she went back to the other customer. By the time she finally came back to my hair, an hour had passed and it was clear the bleach had sat too long. She took me back to rinse out the bleach and said she would put a toner in to fix the coloring. While she was blow drying it out she kept giving me suggestions on how to take care of it and how to fix the damage, as she put it "some ends of my hair look like they are about to break off". By the time it was all said and done and she had me look at it I told her it was way more platinum blonde than I wanted. I told her I didn't know what to do with it. She said it will slowly fade and that I should go back to her in 8 weeks so she can update it. At the booking computer I asked if I can come back sooner than 8 weeks, that I needed to have it fixed. All she could say was that she was booked solid through July 15th! I couldn't believe it. I was so unhappy, I just took her card and walked away. As I was leaving the desk I heard Cyrstal complain to the other Stylist of how she should have been gone hours ago and how she needed to be home right now. I am extremely unhappy with the way my hair looks and the way Cyrstal conducted herself. If she had other worries she had to take care of she should have asked me to reschedule or asked a peer to help me. It was clear the entire session that I was not the priority on her mind - it was very unprofessional. She was friendly enough that my experience was not horrible, but I did walk away having just spent $150 and am appalled by the way my hair looks. read more

I feel compelled to need to write this review based on my recent experience at the salon within Ulta. I made an appointment with Kinder, a "master level" stylist as a new client. I spoke with her at length prior to my appointment discussing my hair color & what I was hoping to achieve. She assured me that she was able to handle my hopes. After making the appointment, I called her back to make sure that I had scheduled enough time with her to get a full head foil if possible. That is where all things went drastically down hill at my scheduled appointment. Upon my arrival, I sat in her chair and she looked at my hair, and we discussed possible color options. She was highly critical of whoever was doing my hair before! The person I had been going to was amazing, she had just decided to stop doing hair for awhile after the birth of her second child. Oh, Kinder foiled my hair to the point that she actually broke my hair due to over processing my hair, never did a strand test to see how much she could lift my brunette hair which is very fine, and colored my hair almost black (1 shade lighter than black) on the parts that were not being foiled. She stated the "magic" was going to be on the top of my head. I sat in her chair for over 3 hours, and was totally horrified by what she did to my hair!!! It was, grey, orange, and over bleached almost white with black hair all over the rest of my head! I called Kinder the next morning, and told her I was upset and unhappy with her work. To Kinder's credit, she said please come back in, and allow her to fix my hair. HUGE MISTAKE!! She then went into trying to explain my hair was a color correction, and began to re-foil the hair she had just bleached 2 days before to get rid of the ORANGE & GREY STREAKS that were not even well placed, only adding to the color mistakes. End result, even MORE broken hair, more damage, but it looked a bit better. Like a truly bad hair nightmare, I washed my hair 2 days later with Biolage shampoo & conditioner, and my problem was back only worse!!! All of the toner she applied to my broken hair cuticle released all the toner, and my hair breakage was worse, the orange was vivid BRIGHT ORANGE, the mismatched colors were back!!!! I am no joking to say I was TRULY traumatized! My cost for my damaged hair, incorrect color and foils was over 200.00!! I am not saying negative things about Kinder personally. She was personable, helped me locate products in the store, and always offering me water. I am definitely saying that Kinder does not deserve the designation of "MASTER". What on earth would she have been thinking? She clearly is not at that level. Perhaps color is not her thing, perhaps she thinks she is MASTER of everything...who knows?? I had to go to another salon, and truly get a color correction ( took 4 hours), a non-bleach color lifter was used to lift the black- thank goodness I was able to be lifted 3-4 shades lighter w/o damaging my hair more. Then I had low lights added into the foils, to even out what was so uneven and over processed looking. My broken hair pieces will just have to grow back! That color correction was another 230.00, but my hair looked amazing, and was not damaged further! So, at this point I felt like I simply needed to speak with the manager at the Ulta in Aurora, and ask for my money back on the "salon services" I had received from Kinder. I must say in this regard I give the Ulta store manager 5 stars!!!! She was very polite, she listened to my experience, apologized for my experience, and agreed to refund the full price of my salon cost! I was shocked that it was such a professional experience. For her credit due to her, the store manager's name is Annette, and she really could not have been any more genuine. I offered to let her see pictures of each time Kinder did my hair, and she said it wasn't necessary. When I went back to Ulta to have her swipe my credit card for the refund, I was able to show her the pictures, and she was shocked. This part of the review gets a lot better. The store was very clean and well stocked. I was greeted each time I entered the store, and was asked if i needed assistance. The cashiers were very professional, and friendly. I told the manager of the store that I would continue shopping at the Aurora Ulta, and I will. The Salon - Never AGAIN!! Kinder perhaps does too many other things to support herself outside of Ulta, and maybe she is better at those things. She lost myself, my mom, and my husband as her clients by her epic FAIL. You just don't damage, and break someone's hair at a MASTER level. Just words of caution - I have a feeling that this isn't Kinder's first problem. Just be warned, and make the best informed decision you can. I would just hate for this to happen to anyone else! read more

Every time I come to an Ulta location, seems like no one deliberately tries to help me. I asked a single question and immediately one of the workers said "I'm sorry I'm with a GUEST, " as if I don't matter and seems like they tend to certain races first. Not only am I an older adult, but I thought I too was a GUEST. To be shut down so quickly goes to show how they treat certain races before other races. I will not be going back to this store and can see why the reviews are so bad. She could have said I'll get back to you in a few mins. Or try to help me get help from someone who wasn't busy. I am an avid Ulta shopper and was in the neighborhood and decided to check it out. WORST Ulta ever. Nothing was where the signs said it should be. They had nothin in the store it looked like it hadn't been stocked since the place opened, if I didn't know any better I would've thought they were having a going out of business sale. Only one person talked to me, I asked her where something was and she didn't even get up to show me where it was. I gave her a chance and got the worst haircut of my life right before my wedding. The first time that I went into the store I had the worst experience of my life. The lady that helped me, I unfortunately didn't get her name, was very rude and short with me. I recently got a perm and wanted to buy some new shampoo and conditioner. I asked what kind of shampoo's would be best and she told me they couldn't help me because I didn't get my hair done there and they didn't know what kind of hair I had. She told me that I would have to book an appointment so they could find out what kind of hair that I had, then they would be able to help me. I went to Sally's and they were able to help me. I made an appointment online for the stylist Melissa. My sister got her hair cut and colored by her and said she was great so I decided to give it a try. When I showed up for my appointment she was finishing the girl before me and I was more then happy to wait. All the sudden another stylist was cutting my hair. No one told me Melissa wasn't able to do it and Melissa just walked by and went on her break when she was suppose to be cutting my hair. The girl cutting my hair didn't seem to have any experience. What I wanted was very simple and she did the exact opposite. Didn't show any interest in listening to what I wanted and hardly had any interaction at all with me. Kristen was her name. If you don't have people skills you shouldn't work in a salon. I sat there in silence waiting for her to be done. I hated it so much I had to by hair ties to put it up afterwards. After voicing my complaints the manager Jordan was extremely helpful. Because of her I will shop her again, but I refuse to go back to the salon! Stay away!!! read more

Read the reviews and stay away from this Ulta! I walked in, went right to Urban Decay looking for the Basquiat collection. Immediately I was turned off by all of the disgusting testers. There were two employees chatting nearby. After circling the Urban display a few times and not seeing what I'm looking for, I asked one of the associates if she knew where the Basquiat collection was. She didn't, so she passed me to the other girl. The other girl didn't know either so she passed me to someone else. This was a bad move because this new girl was apparently leaving. As she walked hastily around the store looking for this collection, I followed her. She disappears into a back room for almost 5 minutes as I'm standing there waiting awkwardly. She must have forgotten all about me because she now had her purse on and was ready to go. She walked me to the front of the store where the collection was behind the registers. After barely glancing at the collection, she said that the eyeliner I wanted wasn't there. This wasn't true, because I was sure to check online that the product was in stock at this location before I drove all the way here. I purposely went out of my way to come to this location because the color is sold out everywhere except at this store. So I said to her, it says you have it online. She gives me some dumb response about stuff that isn't scanned and that is not correct and blah blah blah... so I said fine and leave. As I was sitting in my car getting ready to leave, I see her rush out smoking a cigarette to meet a bunch of people. Lol people are so gross. There's a reason I shop at Sephora! read more
